Comedian-Writer’s Debut Film Not Releasing, But..
Many writers dream to become directors one day and only a few of them succeed in that aspect. While the likes of Trivikram and Koratala Siva have succeeded big time and Anil Ravipudi following them, there are many writers who flopped as directors.
TV serials actor and later a comedian, Harshavardhan, who has worked in many films had turned to writing-scripts later with films like Manam in his kitty. Later he thought of becoming a director, which happens to be his childhood dream and came up with the movie “Googly” which is a short form of ‘Good Bad and Ugly”.
While the teaser of that film featuring anchor Sreemukhi has got huge attention for the raw deal and also the glamour part, somehow the film is lying in the harddisks from time but not hitting cinemas. Seems like without worrying about the release of this debut film, now Harshavardhan is moving on.
Recently Harsha has narrated a story to Sudheer Babu and the hero is said to have got mightily impressed with it. If all goes well, the film goes on the floor very soon.
Venky Dominates Varun Tej
Before the release of F2, many thought it would be clash of two mega heroes (Ram Charan, Varun Tej) and a Nandamuri hero (Balakrishna) at the Sankranthi festival. However, F2, which released as an underdog, has come out with flying colours. And most importantly, it was Venkatesh who stole the show completely.
Even youths, families and couples are giving thumbs up to Venky’s show in F2. His comedy timing and his performance are getting applause. In fact, after a longtime, Venky has come up with pure comedy entertainer and his role is being appreciated by one and all.
Varun is alright, but Venky has clearly dominated Varun. Industry folks are murmuring that after Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Venky has done similar feat with F2. This is indeed a great moment for all Daggubati fans and Victory fans.
Kiara Advani’s Remuneration Shocks Makers
Kiara Advani had made a successful debut in Tollywood with Bharat Ane Nenu last year. She went on to sign Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama, and the film released last Friday. Meanwhile, Kiara has also signed a couple of Bollywood biggies, one of them being a Karan Johar film.
Naturally, Kiara’s popularity in Tollywood rose to the next level. And so did her remuneration, if the latest tidbit we have exclusively learnt from a close source. Apparently, Kiara is now demanding a whopping Rs 1.25 crores as her remuneration for Tollywood projects.
Recently, the makers of hero Gopichand’s next film with his Gautham Nanda Sampath Nandi approached Kiara to sign her for their movie. But Kiara quoted a Rs 1.25 crores paycheck which left the producers in shock. Whether they will negotiate further or zero in on another actress will be known soon.
Will win 100 seats if ‘Thammudu Pawan’ makes deal: KA Paul
Known for surprising people with his political statements, founder of Praja Shanti Party KA Paul always has some interesting things to speak about. This time, appealing again to his “Thammudu” and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, Paul made an open invitation to Pawan Kalyan to work in partnership with him.
Stating that he is positive about his party’s win in the upcoming Assembly Elections in Andhra Pradesh, Paul said: “Pawan Kalyan should partner with us. We will win 100 seats. We will come up with a 25-point agenda. TDP and YSRCP will not even win 10 seats on the whole. Also, if Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena decides to contest alone (without an alliance), they won’t win even a single seat. Similarly, Pawan Kalyan can’t win if he contests. So, if he decides to support us, we will decide on seat-sharing and other formalities once he comes forward. I’m hoping that Pawan doesn’t lose and will take up this offer,” he said.
On the other hand, he attacked Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress for being corrupt parties. He alleged that both the parties are scared of him and hence, will not come for a debate on the development of the state. “If they don’t come for a debate, then they should agree that all their promises are fake,” he added.
This is not the first time that KA Paul has invited support from Jana Sena. Earlier too, he has said that he will make Pawan Kalyan the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh if he agreed. He had said that he will manage the financial backing and investments for Andhra Pradesh while Pawan could manage the government and its administration. Paul’s recent comments have again set the rumour mills ringing!
F2 Collections: Day 2 Bigger Than Day 1
‘F2 – Fun & Frustration’ is storming at the box office. The film which had posted good numbers on day one, reported even better collections on day two in many theatres. In areas like Guntur, Krishna, Ceded and East Godavari, the film is likely to take lead among the Sankranthi releases.
Also the number of theatres are increasing for the film and so we expect the collections to jump in the coming days. ‘F2’ is definitely going to be a profit venture and distributors would be in safe hands. All the credit should go to director Anil Ravipudi for bringing a typical comedy and family entertainer considering the festival season.

Wink Girl Upset With That Hero’s Marriage
Wink sensation Priya Warrier is known for her instant popularity that won millions of fans. But the Mallu hottie says that she is not happy when people call her ‘wink girl’ and they don’t her name at all.
In a recent interview, Priya felt sad that some people don’t know by her name but only identify her as wink beauty. “I felt happy for the fame, but as people call me only wink girl I feel sad about it. Slowly that is changing, however” she said.
Meanwhile, when asked about if she would wink at anybody in the real life, the naughty girl immediately shots back. “No, that man got married now”. She stated that Ranveer Singh is her favorite and would have easily winked at him. “Now that Ranveer got married, I missed that chance of winking at him. I am a little bit upset with that” she added.

Top 5: F2 Wins Sankranthi Box Office
1) Vinaya Vidheya Rama: Ram Charan – Boyapati Srinu combo ensured a stunning opening day at the box office, but the film has turned out to be a damp squib.
Boyapati who is known for making entertaining masala films has delivered a film that has become the target for internet trolls.
The film collected close to Rs. 40 crore share in its first weekend, but the buyers are staring at losses with diminishing collections by the day.
It is a washout in USA and is set to become one of the all time disasters in the territory.
2) F2 – Fun and Frustration: F2 lived up to the promise it has shown from its promos. The film is a total fun ride with Venkatesh in top form.
The film’s collections on Sunday are higher than first day collections in many centers which is an indication of the film’s success.
It is the only film that has clicked at US box office among Sankranthi films. It’s two days gross is higher than five days gross of NTR!
3) NTR – Kathanayakudu: The first part of NTR biopic is heading for a big flop at the box office. The film was sold for very high price and the collections have been shockingly low to date.
Buyers are hoping for decent numbers during the Sankranthi holidays, but the film hasn’t seen any rise in collections over the weekend.
4) Petta: Rajinikanth’s Petta has been receiving decent response from Telugu audience, but the numbers are just okay given the low key release.
Petta is doing well in overseas and Tamilnadu.
5) KGF: Kannada blockbuster KGF is a smash hit in Telugu states too. It is still making its presence felt in spite of Sankranthi biggies.
KCR Takes ‘hypocrisy’ To Peak Level!
TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao suddenly took a decision to train his cabinet ministers on their jobs and responsibilities and how to improve their performance as and when he forms his cabinet.
Looking at the latest statement of KCR, let alone others not even his own TRS party leaders, cadre, MLAs and MPs stop laughing saying that KCR took ‘hypocrisy’ to peak level and no one could compete with him in this regard.
This is because KCR himself runs government like a ‘one-man show’ where only CM call the shots all his ministers should be ‘dummies’.
He implemented his ‘dummy cabinet’ policy successfully in his first term.
In his latest second term, he did not even formed the cabinet though TRS won Assembly elections more than a month ago on December 11.
KCR is running his government with one and only home minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, whose job is more to tie the band on the right hand of KCR to protect him from evil eyes and evil forces.
KCR has no respect for cabinet or cabinet ministers.
KCR conducts review meetings of various departments with officials at Pragathi Bhavan without the knowledge of ministers concerned and sadly ministers come to know about these review meetings through media.
Surprisingly, KCR now feels that ministers were not performing well and they need to be trained at MCRHRDI institute in Jubilee Hills.
On one hand KCR keeps entire powers with him and want ministers to remain as ‘dummies’ and on the other hand he talks about non-performing ministers.
Now, is this not KCR taking hypocrisy to peak level, where no one can compete with him?
F2 Comes Near $1 Million Mark in 2 days
This is a really surprise. When NTR Biopic that was premiered on last Tuesday is still struggling to touch $1 million mark, Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer Anil Ravipudi’s “F2” will be crossing $1 million mark on Monday.
The movie is on the verge of touching the $1 million mark in just two days.
“NTR Kathanayakudu” was bought for astronomical prices but “F2” was bought for moderate rate and the distributors are already in profits in the first weekend itself.
The film has already become highest grosser at USA box-office in director Anil Ravipudi’s career.
F2: Premiere: $251,263 Sat: $379,860 Sunday: $225k (apprx) Total Weekend Gross: $850k
“NTR Kathanayakudu” took in good numbers on premiere day but the film collapsed as the mouth talk was bad.
The film got ‘3’ rating from main media out of respect for late NTR though it doesn’t deserve it given its plain treatment.
