Sitting MP Konda Visweswar Reddy, who had defected to Congress from the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on the eve of Assembly polls, will seek re-election from Chevella.

The other candidates are Balram Naik (Mahabubabad), Ramesh Rathod (Adilabad), A. Chandrashekhar (Peddapalli), Gali Anil Kumar (Medak) and Madan Mohan (Zaheerabad).

The candidates for remaining seats are likely to be announced on Saturday.

Polling in Telangana is scheduled in a single phase on April 11 in the first phase of the seven phase Lok Sabha polls.

Hero Sunil is perfectly alright. A while ago Sunil tweeted that he’s not dead. This is not a parody news.An unknown cheap website published news report that Sunil is dead after fighting for life for hours in a road accident.

Disturbed by such fake news, Sunil not only tweeted the link of that cheap website but also clarified that he is absolutely breathing happily. “I am absolutely hail and hearty,” he declared.Sunil clarified this before some channels pick it up and spread the fake news. In the age of social media, fake news is spreading fast.

Sunil tweeted, “There is a fake news doing rounds, that I have met with a fatal accident. It is rubbish some loser has done that for its view increase. Please don’t worry I am absolutely hail and hearty with your blessings. – Sunil.”

Tamannaah Bhatia signs Tamil, Telugu films

Share

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia has signed up for two new projects. One is a Telugu film, and one in Tamil.
She will be the lead protagonist in the third instalment of Telugu hit franchise “Raju Gari Gadhi”, to be directed by Omkar. The film is expected to go on floors in June 2019.

The first instalment of the horror comedy was released in 2015 with Ashwin Babu and Dhanya Balakrishna playing the lead.

Following its success at the box office, the director went on to wield the megaphone for the 2017 movie “Raju Gari Gadhi 2”, starring Nagarjuna Akkineni and Samantha Akkineni.

On her role, Tamannaah said in a statement: “This is a female-centric role and something that has been on my creative wish list for 2019. The narrative really excited me as I’m shuttling between two different eras and hence portraying two different personas. There is a lot of layering and it will be interesting to navigate between time zones.”

On the Tamil movie front, she has been roped in to play the principal antagonist in yet another film opposite Vishal. It is being directed by a debutant director.

Tamannaah and Vishal will be teaming up for the third time after “Kaththi Sandai” apart from currently shooting together for Sundar C’s yet untitled action-based film.

The actress said she is playing a character with a grey shade in the new film.

“It is quite challenging as my role demands not just physical strength but also a lot of mental forte. There is a lot of mastery required in mind games, even when you’re playing it on-screen and that’s something that doesn’t come very easy to me. In reality I’m quite the opposite, easy going and authentic, so getting into this character will be quite intimidating to be honest.”

Prabhas Moves out of Saaho in May

Share

Prabhas has been working for “Saaho” for the last two years but still the film’s work has not yet been completed. The film that is being made in four languages with whopping Rs 300 Cr budget requires lot of time for post-production, promotional activities and traveling to many cities.

Considering all these factors, he reportedly told director Sujith to finish the film in the first week of May itself. “Saaho” is scheduled for August 15th release. If the film is completed in May, they will have sufficient time for post-production and publicity. Hence, Prabhas has put final deadline to Sujith, his team and the producers.

Prabhas will have to move to his other film, a period love story being directed by Radhakrishna Kumar.
After working for a month or so for this love story, he will again focus on promotional events of “Saaho”.

Adala deals rude shock to Naidu!

Share

In a rude shock to Telugu Desam Party, former minister and senior party leader from Nellore Adala Prabhakar Reddy did a complete somersault on Friday. He is all set to join the YSR Congress party.

The shocking development took place within hours of party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu announcing his candidature for Nellore (Rural) assembly constituency.

According to party sources, Adala intensely lobbied for the party ticket and got his name cleared for the Nellore (rural) assembly seat well ahead of the announcement of the list of 126 names by Naidu on Thursday night.

At the same time, he also used his influence with Naidu to get his pending bills worth Rs 43 crore for various contracts he had done.

On Friday morning, Adala launched his party campaign in Nellore. By afternoon, he got a message on mobile phone that the amount of Rs 43 crore for the pending bills was credited to his account.

He immediately cut short his campaign and disappeared from the scene, stating that he had got an urgent call from Naidu and that he was going to Amaravati.

But Adala did not reach Amaravati and went into hiding. He switched off his phone and remained unavailable to any senior leader.

Even as the party workers were in a state of confusion as to where Adala had gone, his followers suddenly started withdrawing all his posters, banners and cut-outs at his residence and other parts of the constituency.

It was then the TDP leaders had realised that Adala had cheated the party. Inquiries revealed that he had already been in touch with the YSR Congress party and had got an assurance for the YSRC ticket for Nellore parliamentary seat.

But he had stayed back in the TDP and waited till he got the money into account and soon after it happened, he disappeared from the scene and is getting prepared to join the YSRC!

That is politics!

Mayawati should be PM, says Pawan Kalyan

Share

The Bahujan Samaj Party of Mayawati and the Jana Sena Party led by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan on Friday announced their alliance for the Lok Sabha election. The BSP and JSP reached at a seat-sharing arrangement for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the two parties will contest the polls together.

Announcing the poll-pact in Lucknow with the BSP chief by his side, Kalyan said his “wish and ardent desire” is to see Mayawati become the prime minister of the country after the Lok Sabha polls in April-May.“We would like to see Mayawati as the prime minister of the country. This is our wish and ardent desire…We will make sure…that our wishes get fulfilled in the days to come,” said Kalyan addressing a press conference in the Uttar Pradesh capital.

This comes amid efforts by opposition parties to present a united front against the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in the parliamentary polls. Mayawati is among the opposition leaders, who are said to be harbouring prime ministerial ambition.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her counterpart in Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu are the other two non-Congress opposition leaders in the reckoning for the top post if a non-BJP coalition emerges ahead in the Lok Sabha polls.

Mayawati, in the past, has dropped hints about her prime ministerial ambition. On her birthday, January 15, days after announcing BSP’s alliance with the arch-rival Samajwadi Party, Mayawati had asked her party cadres to “forget past differences and ensure victory” in the Lok Sabha polls.

“UP decides who will come to power at the Centre and who will be the prime minister,” Mayawati had said. Mayawati is seen as the most popular Dalit leader in national politics.

On Friday when Kalyan said that his party, JSP would work for making Mayawati the prime minister of the country in the national election, the BSP chief had a smile on her face and gave a slight nod of acknowledgement.

She returned the compliment saying “I want Pawan Kalyan to become Andhra Pradesh chief minister.”

Mayawati has been campaigning for a non-BJP non-Congress political front at the national level. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu has been part of the campaign. Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party is seeking re-election in Andhra Pradesh, which goes to simultaneous assembly and parliamentary polls on April 11.

The BSP chief will travel to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on April 3 and 4 to campaign for the BSP-JSP alliance. Kalyan’s JSP makes its debut in the upcoming elections and hopes to make a mark in the state that has been dominated by Naidu’s TDP and the Congress.

Kalyan is the younger brother of Chiranjeevi, the actor-turned-politician, who had floated the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) ahead of 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

The PRP secured about 17 per cent vote in the polls. Chiranjeevi later merged his party in the Congress. Kalyan, however, aims to form government in Andhra Pradesh and hopes Mayawati’s appeal among Dalit voters may win his party a significant chunk of votes.

49 Killed In Livestreamed “Terror Attack” On New Zealand Mosques

Share

CHRISTCHURCH: A “right-wing extremist” armed with semi-automatic weapons rampaged through two mosques in the quiet New Zealand city of Christchurch during afternoon prayers Friday, killing 49 worshippers and wounding dozens more. The attack, thought to be the deadliest against Muslims in the West in modern times, was immediately dubbed terrorism by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, as she guided a shocked nation on one of its “darkest days.”

The attacker live-streamed footage of him going room-to-room, victim to victim, shooting the wounded from close range as they struggled to crawl away.A 28-year-old Australian-born man has been arrested and charged with murder. He is set to appear at the Christchurch District Court early Saturday. Two other men remain in custody, although their link to the attack is unknown.

The chief suspect allegedly published a racist “manifesto” on social media before the attack, featuring conspiracy theories about Europeans being displaced, and details of two years of preparation and radicalisation leading up to the shootings.

“It is clear that this can now only be described as a terrorist attack,” said Ardern. “From what we know, it does appear to have been well planned.”Two IEDs (improvised explosive devices) were found in a car and neutralised by the military, police said.Speaking in Sydney, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison described the gunman as “an extremist, right-wing, violent terrorist”.

His two targets were the Masjid al Noor mosque, where 41 people died, and a second, smaller mosque in the suburb of Linwood, where seven more died. The remaining victim succumbed in hospital. The dead were said to include women and children. Around 48 people were treated for gunshot wounds at Christchurch Hospital, including young children, with injuries ranging from critical to minor.

The survivors included 17 members of Bangladesh’s cricket team, whose game against New Zealand on Saturday has been postponed, and a Palestinian man who fled for his life after seeing someone being shot in the head.”I heard three quick shots, then after about 10 seconds it started again. It must have been an automatic — no one could pull a trigger that quick,” the man who did not wish to be named, told AFP.

“Then people started running out. Some were covered in blood,” he said.

New Zealand police described the footage shot by the gunman as “extremely distressing” and warned web users that they could be liable for up to 10 years in jail for sharing such “objectionable content”.
In addition to the footage — which AFP has verified, but is not distributing — a number of pictures were posted to a social media account showing a semi-automatic weapon covered in the names of historical figures, many of whom were involved in the killing of Muslims.

The attack has shocked New Zealanders, who are used to seeing around 50 murders a year in the entire country of 4.8 million and pride themselves on living in a secure and welcoming place.Police, who initially imposed a city-wide lockdown, sent armed officers to a number of scenes and the threat level in the nation was raised from “low” to “high”.In Auckland, 1,000 kilometres (600 miles) away, two unattended bags left near a railway station were detonated by military explosives experts.

Police also attended a property in Dunedin which they believe is linked to the attack and evacuated nearby residents. The southeastern city was named in the suspect’s manifesto as the original target for his attack.Police warned Muslims all over the country not to visit mosques “anywhere in New Zealand” in the wake of the Christchurch attacks. Friday is Islam’s holy day.

Christchurch city council offered a helpline for parents looking for kids attending a mass climate change rally near the shooting.

“Bodies all over”

The attack has shocked the local Muslim population, many of whom had come to New Zealand as refugees.

The Ardern government has been vocal in its support for opening the doors to those suffering from wars in Syria, Afghanistan and beyond.

One witness told stuff.co.nz he was praying when he heard shooting — and then saw his wife lying dead on the footpath outside when he fled.

Another man said he saw children being shot.

“There were bodies all over,” he said.

The Bangladesh cricket team — which had been in Christchurch for a test match and was about to go into the mosque when the attack happened — all escaped without injury.

“They are safe. But they are mentally shocked. We have asked the team to stay confined in the hotel,” he told AFP.The attacks sparked horror and revulsion around the world.US President Donald Trump condemned the “horrible massacre” in which “innocent people have so senselessly died”.

Mass shootings are very rare in New Zealand, which tightened its gun laws to restrict access to semi-automatic rifles in 1992, two years after a mentally ill man shot dead 13 people in the South Island town of Aramoana. However, anyone over 16 can apply for a standard firearms licence after doing a safety course, which allows them to purchase and use a shotgun unsupervised.

Shraddha Opted Out Of The Biopic

Share

It is known that Shraddha Kapoor has backed out from the biopic of badminton star Saina Nehwal. As soon as Shraddha got out, Parineeti Chopra has been roped in to play that role.

Shraddha even took training for that role but the reason why backed out has become a hot topic. Talking about the real reasons, sources revealed that “Even after getting training for more than a year, the ‘Stree’ actress has failed to get the capabilities of the character right. She struggled to learn the sport but the makers were forced to reconsider her.” They added that Shraddha is not upset but she was relieved to have been out of the project as she knows that she wasn’t able to get the character right.

Director Amol Gupte is helming this project. Parineeti will be replacing the diva in the biopic.
