Janasena President Pawan Kalyan appealed to Telangana Chief Minister and TRS supremo KCR to not enter Andhra Pradesh politics. Pawan made this statement at Janasena Sankharavam in Rajahmundry yesterday on the occasion of the party’s 5th formation day.

“Telangana Chief Minister is trying to interfere in Andhra Pradesh politics. I appeal to him to not come to my state. Leave us, we will take care of our affairs. We don’t need your assistance. KCR garu..miko dandam,” Pawan said.

Pawan went on to target KCR for dividing the state with hate. “For years, Andhra people had suffered enough because of KCR. Now don’t come to our state and make AP and Telangana like India and Pakistan. We are like brothers. Don’t play with people for your political gains,” Pawan lambasted KCR.

Pawan then criticized YSRCP Chief YS Jagan for joining hands with KCR and Modi’s BJP. “Jagan, if you have issues with Chandrababu Naidu, fight him in elections. Let’s make it a battle between YSRCP, TDP, and Janasena. But please don’t bring KCR to AP,” said Pawan.

TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu has released the first list of candidates for the assembly elections. He has announced 126 names and among them are 83 sitting MLAs and 15 women. But this time Chandrababu preferred youngsters than the experienced politicians and it clearly shows, TDP wants youth leadership and cadre that can bring a huge change in the party.

Also, Chandrababu had obliged the request by senior leaders who wanted their sons and daughters to take over their political legacy forward.

Nama Nageswara Rao To Quit TDP?

TDP’s senior leader and politburo member Nama Nageswara Rao is likely to submit his resignation to TDP. Nama, who had been loyal to TDP and had been a strong leader in Khammam district, has not attended the party’s politburo meeting yesterday held at Amaravati without informing reason for his absence, thus he hinted his plans to leave the party.

It is learnt that Congress has been mounting pressure on Nama to join into its party and contest from Khammam Parliament seat on its ticket. Nama is toying with the idea of accepting Congress offer. In recent 2018 general election, Nama, who had contested from TDP, lost it to TRS candidate to Puvvada Ajay Kumar. He now wants to move to Congress to test his fortunes.

Khammam is considered as a bastion for TDP for ages. TDP continued its hold over Khammam even after the Telangana is formed. If Nama exits from TDP, it will be a big setback for TDP in Telangana.

Talk: Rajamouli Uniting Andhra And Telangana

Post the bifurcation, there are not many issues between the people of Andhra and Telangana, though politicians often paint a wrong picture. However, there is the need for Telugu people stying united and it looks like director SS Rajamouli is working for that cause.

While the likes of director Anil Ravipudi has already done their best showcasing each of his heroes in the film F2 speaking Andhra and Telangana slang Telugu language, now Rajamouli will be taking that a bit further. His heroes, Ram Charan, and NTR will be speaking Andhra and Telangana slangs respectively, giving new energy to the unity of Telugu people.

His pan-Indian patriotic drama #RRR will be featuring the stories of Andhra based Alluri Seetharama Raju who fought against the autocracy of British rulers, and of Telangana’s Komaram Bheem who raised voice against the tyrannous Nizam. Thus it gives one hero Godavari slang and the other one, North Telangana (Adilabad) slang.

Definitely, this is a fresh lease of content as well, as patriotic films are coming quite rare in Telugu these days, while we have many such coming during the era of NTR and ANR. Among the new generation, #SyeRaa is the first biggest patriotic drama followed by #RRR now.

Why Is Mudragada Silent In Elections?

At a time when the political atmosphere in Andhra Pradesh is getting heated up following the announcement of schedule for general elections to the state assembly and Lok Sabha, there has been an unusual silence from Kapu strongman and former minister Mudragada Padmanabham.

Mudragada, who had been writing strongly-worded letters and addressing meetings attacking Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu all these days, has remained quite silent these days.

He has not been making any statements either against Naidu or in favour of any other party.The Kapu community, which he has been championing all these years, is waiting for a statement from Mudragada as to which party they should support in the elections.

In a television channel interview a couple of months ago, Mudragada said he had been in contact with all political parties on many issues including reservation issue of the Kapu community but he has not taken any decision on taking a political stand.

He said he did not want to make any comment against any single party at this juncture, as no political party has come out with any concrete assurance on the Kapu reservation issue.Sources, however, said the passage of Kapu quota bill, seeking to provide five per cent quota to them under EBC category, has silenced him and he is not able to decide whether to support it or oppose it.Since it also got the nod from the Governor, there is nothing that he could do now, unless the courts strike it down.

Indirectly, Mudragada has been working against the TDP, but openly, he is not extending any support to any party. May be, he will come out with a specific stand very shortly.

Koratala Siva – Chiru Film from July?

Director Koratala Siva has been waiting for Chiranjeevi’s nod to take his film to the sets from the last six months. Our sources say the shoot of “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” will continue for another two months.Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has come down to Hyderabad to complete his portion for the film. This is the second time that he is participating in the shoot.

Sources add that director Surender Reddy will also have to go to Mumbai for two days next month to complete another portion on Amitabh.Besides this, the team is roping in a big actress (Anushka?) to play a key role in the movie. She is yet to be signed and her portions will also have to be shot.

At this rate, the shoot of “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” will not be completed before June. After competition of the shoot, Megastar Chiranjeevi needs a month’s time to prepare for Koratala’s movie.The “Bharat Ane Nenu” director will only begin his next movie with Chiranjeevi in June or July. Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan has been approached for the female lead in this movie.

Alia Bhatt Getting What She Demanded

As We reported earlier, Alia Bhatt has signed on to play the female lead opposite Ram Charan in Rajamouli’s mega epic period drama which chronicles the early days of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

She was Rajamouli’s first choice but she came on board only recently after producer Danayya and director Rajamouli have agreed to pay what she demanded.Alia Bhatta reportedly demanded more remuneration than what she gets for a Bollywood movie.Rajamouli and Danayya have agreed after considering the fact that her presence would help for the movie’s North India market.

“Today I feel truly truly grateful.. Cannot wait to begin this beautiful journey with this stellar cast and massive team.. thank you @ssrajamouli sir for giving me this opportunity to be directed by you,” she thanked Rajamouli on Twitter.

Pawan’s Film Going To Floors Without Power Star!

Mythri Movie Makers were hell bent on making a movie with Pawan Kalyan before he got busy with politics. But all their efforts went in vain as Pawan decided to give a pause to his career in films and try his luck in politics.

Despite Pawan’s unavailability Mythri Movie Makers didn’t take back the advance from him hoping that he would do his first film for them in his second innings.

MMM planned to remake Theri that was already dubbed into Telugu as Policeodu. Santosh Srinivas worked on the Telugu script keeping Pawan Kalyan in mind.

The script landed in Raviteja’s hands once Pawan Kalyan was not available. However, Raviteja was sceptical to do Theri in Telugu until the recent meeting with Mythri producers.

Raviteja has finally given a nod to play the lead in Santosh Srinivas’s film. They have registered Kanaka Durga title for it.

Raviteja will do Kanaka Durga simultaneously with Disco Raja, which is a science fiction thriller directed by VI Anand.

TDP announces 126 candidates for Assembly polls

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh’s ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Thursday night announced its first list of candidates for next month’s Assembly elections, containing 126 names.Chief Minister and TDP President N. Chandrababu Naidu declared the list after the politburo, the highest decision-making body of the party, approved the names.

With the announcement of the first list, the party had launched its mission to secure 150 seats in the 175-member Assembly, he said.Naidu, who will be seeking re-election from Kuppam constituency in his native Chittoor district, said candidates from backward and weaker sections and those with good record were given priority.

According to the list, Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh will contest from Mangalagiri constituency in state capital region Amaravati. Lokesh, currently a minister in Naidu’s cabinet and a member of the Legislative Council, will be making his debut in a direct election.

Naidu’s brother-in-law and Lokesh’s father-in-law, actor Balakrishna will seek re-election from Hindupur.Naidu has given tickets to most of his cabinet colleagues. Former Chief Minister and Congress leader N. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s brother N. Kishore Kumar Reddy, who recently joined the TDP, has been given ticket from Pileru constituency.

Elections to 175-member Assembly and all 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state are scheduled in a single phase on April 11.Naidu is expected to announce the remaining candidates for Assembly and all candidates for Lok Sabha seats in few days.

Manchu Manoj Will not Get Ticket!

Manchu Manoj has shifted his residence to Tirupathi six months ago in the hope to contest from the Chittoor district on YS Jagan Party’s ticket as they have family relations with the Andhra Pradesh’s opposition leader.

Although, YS Jagan has not yet announced the list of candidates for assembly and parliament constituencies, Manchu Manoj’s name is not being considered for any seat.Manchu Manoj will not be accommodated this time in ensuing polls. Then what will Manoj do? Will he move back to Hyderabad and start working in films again?

With no film turning success, Manoj was distraught with his filmy career and had decided to test luck in politics.Then he made an announcement in Twitter that he’s moving to Tirupathi to pursue his dream of serving for the society.

Y S Vivekananda Reddy Is No More

Kadapa: YSR Congress party leader and former Andhra Pradesh Minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy died of cardiac arrest on Friday, his family said. He was 68.

Vivekananda, also a former Lok Sabha member, suffered cardiac arrest at his residence in Pulivendula town of Kadapa district.

He was the younger brother of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and uncle of YSR Congress party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

He is survived by wife and a daughter.

He was elected from Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency on Congress party ticket in 1999 and 2004. He was twice elected to Andhra Pradesh Assembly (1989, 1994) from Pulivendula, a family stronghold.

Vivekananda was also elected to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council in 2009 and served as Agriculture Minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet.

He remained loyal to Congress when Jaganmohan Reddy raised a banner of revolt against the party for not picking him as the successor of his father and Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy following his death in a helicopter crash in 2009.

Jagan Reddy had alleged that Congress tried to engineer split in the family by making Vivekananda a Minister. The young leader subsequently floated YSR Congress party.

Vivekananda contested 2011 bye-election to Pulivendula constituency against his sister-in-law and Jagan’s mother Y.S. Vijayamma, who contested as YSR Congress candidate and won the seat with a huge majority.

Vivekananda later quit Congress party and joined YSR Congress. He lost elections to the Legislative Council in 2017.
