Congress leader gone too far on taking credit for Abhinandan’s courage
The whole country has welcomed IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman with extreme rapture and happiness, who has bravely stepped into India after being captivated by Pakistan custody for 60 hours.
All politicians and celebrities have expressed their joy as well through social media. One such person was the Congress leader Salman Khurshid. However, his tweet has become disputable for taking credit over Abhinandan’s courage. He tweeted, ”Many kudos for Wing Commander Abhi Varthaman the face of India’s resistance to enemy aggression. Great poise and confidence in face of adversity. We are proud that he received his wings in 2004 and matured as a fighter pilot during UPA.”
He tried to grab the credit by the untimely appreciation of UPA and left everyone wondering if he is in right conscience. What Abhinandan did is incomparable as he maintained his valorous attitude throughout his ordeal. But, Salman Khurshid took advantage of social media and tried to manipulate the credit into his basket.
Earlier too, when popular actress Sridevi died, one of the congress people posted that she was honoured with the Padma Shri by the UPA Govt. That tweet sounded less like a condolence message and more like blowing their own triumph. The netizens couldn’t stay calm and trolled Salman badly for making peculiar and ill-timed tweets.

10 Days Of Silence For Firebrand Actress
Ahead of her 32nd birthday on March 23, Kangana Ranaut is gifting herself a spot at a yoga camp.
The actress will soon leave for Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu to attend a wellness programme that is carried out in complete silence and involves long hours of meditation. After that, she will usher in her birthday at home in Manali with family.
“I have been practising yoga since I was around 16-17. The program I am about to attend is an advanced one. I had been meaning to do this for a while now. This year, it happened to fall close to my birthday. Ten days of silence is a big commitment, but I wanted it to be a birthday present for myself,” Kangana informed.
She was quick to add that for her, not having her phone around and meditating for 10-15 hours a day will be intense. But according to the actress, the course requires around six months of preparation to pull off the yoga postures featured in it.
In Manali, celebrations will be quiet, with only her family in attendance. Kangana returns to work soon after that to resume the shoot of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga, in which she plays a Kabaddi player.
“I start my Kabaddi practise in Manali. They are sending a trainer for that there,” she revealed, adding that after her Coimbatore sojourn, Panga will have her full attention. The film, which also features Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta, will wrap up by May-end.
Last year, Kangana had marked her 31st by planting 31 trees at her residence in Manali. The celebrations had wrapped up with a family lunch and some music.
Murali Mohan will not contest 2019 general elections
Maganti Murali Mohan has made it clear that he will not be contesting the 2019 elections and neither will his daughter-in-law Roopa.
The Rajamahendravaram MP said he wants to focus on his Trust and its charity activities.
Denying reports that he has been denied a ticket for 2019, Murali Mohan said, “In 2014, I won with a majority of 1 lakh votes. In 2019, I am confident of winning with a majority of 2 lakh. But, as I’ve said, I want to focus on providing free education to around 1000 students through my Trust and other activities.”
He added that he would continue in politics and discharge his duties as a loyal Party worker.
While some analysts opine that Murali Mohan was indeed denied a ticket by Chandrababu for 2019, sources close to the TDP MP say this is not the case.
“Murali Mohan is a TDP loyalist and Chandrababu Naidu has a lot of respect for him. The decision not to contest in 2019 is entirely that of Murali Mohan. In fact, Chandrababu actually tried to make Murali Mohan change his mind but acquiesced to the latter’s request out of respect for him.”

Seetharam To Test TDP Waters
Ex-MLA off Bheemili constituency Karri Seetharam is all set to join the TDP in the presence of Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Seetharam’s entry into the Party has been brokered by Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
Seetharam first won as an MLA in 2004 on a Congress ticket. But then, he won largely because of the blessings of the late Vizag strongman Dronamraju Satyanarayana.
Seetharam also reportedly created a sensation then when he gifted Pulsar bikes to his cadre. He lost in 2009, shifted loyalties to YSRCP and lost again in 2014.
Now, with Ganta’s support, Seetharam who also belongs to the same caste as Ganta is testing his political fortunes with the TDP.
However, it is unclear as to what assurances he has been given by the TDP leadership.
Nevertheless, his entry into the TDP will undoubtedly help bolster Ganta’s image with Chandrababu Naidu.
RGV Still Undecided about Release Date
Trade pundits have suggested Ram Gopal Varma to change the release date of his “Lakshmi’s NTR” which is scheduled for March 22nd release.
His film will have to compete with “Prema Katha Chitram 2” and Allu Sirish’s “ABCD” on March 22nd. So, trade pundits are asking him to lock March 15th as the release date. This would allow him to get more number of screens for the movie.
For this film, opening collections are key to recover the investment. Given the controversies around and the massive buzz, trade is expecting huge openings for “Lakshmi’s NTR”. However, Ram Gopal Varma has not yet taken final decision.

Taking a political survey from students will delete your vote in AP
If you receive a call from girls informing that they are from a University studying in the Department of Political Science and ask you to take a political survey as part of their project work, you should be cautious.
With the Telangana Police Department’s inquiry into personal data leakage, it is clear that a political party has disclosed all the data about the voters, including their Aadhar and mobile phone numbers.
With the mobile number in hand, a team from that political party is conducting a survey claiming themselves as students from Hyderabad Osmania University and other universities.
In the survey, they will ask you questions like how satisfied you are with the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and who do you prefer as your next Chief Minister?
If they feel that you will not vote for the party for which they are working, the data will be transmitted their bosses who work to erase your vote.
Many people from Andhra Pradesh are receiving these calls from the last few months.
A YSRC leader also received calls on behalf of students from Osmania University and he has asked them about the details of the projects. But he did not answer any of the questions put by the lady in the name of a survey for her college project.
Similarly, many of AP voters are receiving these calls.
Fake delete pleas hit 3.7% of AP electorate
In a short span of seven days, the Election Commission (EC) received en masse applications from unidentified persons seeking deletion of 13.16 lakh votes — roughly 3.7% of the total electorate of 3.69 crore in AP.
The Election Commission has now directed district authorities to lodge complaints with police to identify the IP addresses of the culprits.
The flood of fake applications to remove names of eligible voters began on Feb 26 and verification by revenue authorities revealed that most of them were illiterate.
Nellore: Bulk deletion of voters
At the instance of the district election officer and collector, Nellore district, R. Muthyala Raju, several cases were filed on Monday against different persons who applied for deletion of votes in bulk in Atmakur, Sarvepalli and Sullurpeta Assembly segments.
Tahsildars of Atmakur and Marripadu in Atmakur Assembly constituency, Podalakur in Sarvepalli segment, Ozili, Pellakur and Naidupeta in Sullurpeta Assembly segment wrote to the station house officers of police stations in their jurisdiction to book cases against different persons who applied for deletion of votes.
Applications in Form 7 have been received to delete 1,117 voters from 28 persons on February 26 and 28 in Pellakur mandal.
Similarly applications have been submitted to delete 327 voters in Ozili mandal.
Online applications have been received from different persons three to six times to remove votes of particular persons in Marripadu mandal.
In Naidupeta mandal also, applications to delete 1,302 names from the voters list were received by officials from 23 persons. Interestingly all the applications for deletion have been submitted on February 26 and 28.
Police have started investigation to initiate action against the culprits.
