‘In Next 2 Yrs, Jr NTR may take over T-TDP’

Surprising everyone with his statement, Ashwaraopeta Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Khammam district declared that the party high command is mulling over handing over the reins of the party in Telangana to film actor Junior NTR. At a time when the party’s popularity has been on a decline ever since 2014, Mecha Nageswara Rao made these statements that have set the rumours mills ringing in the political circles in both the Telugu states.

According to the TDP MLA, Junior NTR may take over the party in the next two years and revive it. Responding to speculation that he will quit the TDP and join Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) just like his counterpart Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, he said that he will stay with the Telugu Desam Party.

Stating that he was approached by TRS leaders, he added that even Telangana Chief Minister’s Office employees, ministers in the government and others tried to influence him to join the pink party. However, he revealed that he would not quit the party and would continue with the TDP as he believes that the party has potential and strong chances of revival in the upcoming years.

A film on Surgical Strike 2.0 on-board?

India’s widespread of emotions that took place on the recent surgical strikes is no less than an action movie. People have witnessed intense nail-biting tension last week when one of the IAF pilots have been captured by the Pakistan army.

Looks like the whole episode has inspired Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. As per the latest news, a film on the recent IAF strikes and Jaish-e-Mohammad operations in Balakot is already in pre-production. However, the filmmakers are working with the research process on the actual events and said to be co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. The film will be directed by Abhishek Kapoor.

The cast details are still in talks and will soon be unveiled. Also, a few producers had already rushed to decide titles relating to the Pulwama attack and some of them are Pulwama: The Deadly Attack, Surgical Strike 2.0 and How’s the Josh?

This film will certainly stand as a special movie in tribute to our brave soldiers who are sacrifising their lives unconditionally across the border. This latest news has boosted our adrenaline rush and every Indian is looking forward to this upcoming movie. The director said that the movie will be an absolute tribute to the soldiers who have lost their lives in the attacks and also to show the entire world how our nation stood in solidarity in this disastrous emotional moment.

Maharshi is a crucial film for director Vamshi Paidipally who is yet to taste a blockbuster in Telugu cinema. He grabbed an opportunity to work with Mahesh Babu and the film Maharshi is all set for summer release this year.

Maharshi is the only big-ticket film that is releasing this summer and this is sure a great opportunity for Vamshi Paidipally to prove his mettle and score big. But things happening seems to be completely different.

Vamshi Paidipally who carves a flick on a slow pace cannot complete his work as per the deadline and may miss summer race. Superstar Mahesh reportedly asked Vamshi and Dil Raju to complete the shoot at the earliest and he informed that he is ready to work round the clock to release the film during summer. But Vamshi’s direction is continuing on a snail pace and Superstar’s fans are extremely furious on the director.

Jr NTR Fans Not Supporting Nandamuri Heroes?

An interesting talk is happening in film circles right now regarding Jr NTR and his fans. Of course, earlier it used to be Nandamuri fans for this Young Tiger, but now it looks like he has lots of Non-Nandamuri fans in his kitty, which is what they are saying.

No doubt, the biggest crowd puller from Nandamuri camp is Jr NTR and his film collections say it all. But it looks like the fans of this star are not supporting other Nandamuri heroes like Babai Balakrishna and Annayya Kalyan Ram.

When we have Ram Charan’s Vinaya Vidheya Rama collecting 60+ crores share with flop talk, definitely the major chunk of revenue is due to fans of all mega heroes watching it, feels observers. But that is not the case with NTR Biopic and 118 collections. These films didn’t get the needed openings. Had Jr NTR’s fans supported those films, surely the openings could have gone up.

This is just a speculative analysis being done a few movie lovers who wish to see that even Kalyan Ram’s movies getting 20+ crores ‘share’ openings like his younger brother. But various other factors also affect box office revenues and openings anyway.

Will Ram Charan Cut Down Asking Price?

Producer Ram Charan wants to close the deal for overseas market for his ambitious production “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” featuring his father Megastar Chiranjeevi in the role of king Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy who rebelled against the British.

Many distributors came forward to buy the rights but they want the asking price to be cut down.

Given the film’s scale and craze, Ram Charan is hoping that it would become another “Baahubali”.

In this scenario, Ram Charan is said to be demanding 4 million dollars for US Rights which is too high for a megastar Chiranjeevi starrer whose last film “Khaidi No 150” raked in 2.4 million dollars in USA.

Even though the film is made with whopping Rs 200 Cr in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages with the ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara, it would not be that easy to recover.

If it succeeds like “Baahubali” did, the film has chances to touch even $10 million but if gets ordinary response, then it would not even cross $3 million. Risk factor is very high.

Ram Charan needs to approach it in realistic way or he should part rights on sharing profits basis.

“Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy” is still under production. The film’s shoot is expected to be wrapped up by next month.

The patriotic period drama is gearing up for Dussera release this year. Directed by Surender Reddy, Ram Charan is producing it on his own.

Cases against applicants for deletion of voters in AP

Amaravati: Large-scale applications for deletion of voters in Andhra Pradesh have come under the scanner of the state’s Chief Electoral Officer, who on Sunday ordered booking of police cases against those submitting the applications in bad faith.

Taking a serious note of 8 lakh applications received for deletions, CEO Gopal Krishna Dwivedi asked police to book 45 cases in nine districts.

He said firm action would be taken against those misusing form-7 to seek removal of names of eligible voters.

The CEO asked officials to identify those sending online applications in bulk seeking deletions of voters. During last 10 days, seven lakh applications under form-7 were received.

The CEO’s action assumed significance in view of the allegations by Opposition YSR Congress party that ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was identifying voters opposed to the government through different surveys and deleting them.

The leaders of TDP have made similar allegations against YSR Congress.

The CEO, however, assured that name of no eligible voter will be deleted. The poll officials delete the names only after three rounds of verification.

In a similar way Sanjay Dutt was also paid by the makers of the Sanju movie.

Being a controversial movie, the Telugu Desam leaders are already targeting Lakshmi Parvathi and making several allegations against her. This news of earning royalty will help the Telugu Desam leaders to criticise her more.

But, the YSRC leaders are already taking on AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his words in Kurnool a couple of days ago.Addressing a meeting Chandrababu Naidu said that Modi should see the Mahanayakudu movie to know what he is.

“Modi should also watch Lakshmi’s NTR to know what Mr Naidu is. Taking the help of his brother-in-law Balakrishna, Naidu has portrayed himself in Mahanayakudu film as a saviour of NTR. But in reality everyone knew that he backstabbed NTR,” said a leader from YSRC.
