Actress defends her ‘Pakistan destruction’ statement
Actress Kangana Ranaut says her “Pakistan destruction” comment came naturally to her after hearing about the Pulwama terror attack.
In her address at the India Today Conclave here on Saturday, the “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi” actress defended her controversial remark against Pakistan, stating it was an “instinctive sentiment” .
On February 14, a terror attack took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama in which at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were killed. Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed the responsibility of it.
Following the attack, Kangana reportedly said “Pakistan ban is not the solution, but Pakistan destruction is”.
When asked about her statement at the conclave, she said: “I think it was very sort of instinctive sentiment that we all felt that time when we were faced with that type of shocking incident. It was possibly the most brutal and most inhuman in centuries, it will always be a deep scar, wound in our conscience.”
According to Kangana, she got “deeply moved by brutality of the action”.
“You cannot be such a victim of your own mind that at that moment also, you are letting your thought process take over and be like, ‘What is the best response to this ? Let me think about it’.
“It’s okay to let your instinct take over,” she added.
Kangana mentioned that “she even felt to go to the border and sort of snatch somebody’s gun and do the deed.”
She also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the conclave.
Megastar Changes Sai Dharam Climax !
From a time, Megastar Chiranjeevi is brought into the picture by his Sai Dharam, to make sure that the latter’s career will be set on track. With almost half a dozen flops in a row, Sai Dharam Tej needs oxygen now and he is said to have asked Megastar to help for that.
It is being heard that Chiranjeevi is actually taking calls related to the script of Sai Dharam’s next, Chitralahari, being directed by Kishore Tirumala of Nenu Sailaja fame. While the film’s story is about a guy who failed twice in love, the director wants to give a realistic ending by showcasing the hero in a negative climax.
However, Megastar is said to have advised the director to go ahead with a positive climax as he strongly feels that negative endings will work only in Tamil but not here. Upon his instructions, now the climax is changed thereby giving a happy ending to the movie.
Featuring Mallu beauty Kalyani Priyadarshan and Tamil girl Nivetha Pethuraj in the leads, Chitralahari has most of its story happening at a bar and restaurant as per initial reports. Hope the film gives much needed hit to the mega hero.
Mehreen Teaches Sr Director the Mannerism !

Charan & NTR keeping silence for now !
Mega hero Ram Charan and Nandamuri star Jr NTR are currently busy shooting for director giant Rajamouli’s prestigious project #RRR. Before this, actually both these star heroes got embroiled into two unexpected discussions.
Charan became part of many discussions after Vinaya Vidheya Rama flopped, but the blame went into the court of Boyapati Sreenu. However, as the hero shot a letter expressing his love and sympathy towards producer DVV Danayya (who also happens to be #RRR producer), many found fault with the hero’s doing. They felt that he should be equally sympathetic towards Boyapati too and as he hasn’t mentioned his name in the letter, Charan has indirectly hinted something there.
Cut to NTR, we have him not talking about NTR Biopic at any point and despite being in the public light for many press meets and other events, he never opened about it. During some brand meets, he has thrown satires that he doesn’t know anything about the film. But later he attended the pre-release event of the movie, and still, there is no word, pres-note or a tweet from him about NTR biopic that featured his Babai Balayya in the lead.
For now, these two heroes and their fans, are having no answers for these happenings, and it’s surprising that both heroes are in the same position. And like they have moved on, even cinema lovers too!!
Mahesh Team Started The Amping Up The Pace!
Mahesh film Maharshi has been shooting from June but still there is a long schedule of action pending along with two songs.
Finally, officially the team announced that by 15th March action schedule will be wrapped and 2 songs will be shot with a gap.
While this is a good sign for the team that they have a time limit to aim at, the last mile will be run hard by the team with an amped up pace, it seems.
As the action schedule includes lot of work to be completed in a small time, even Mahesh relaxed his shooting clauses and working over time to complete, it seems.
Vamshi is releasing his movie after a gap of 3 years, since Oopiri and he wants to deliver a hit, it seems. As the team needs at least two weeks to promote, they started racing against the time, it seems.
This has become the pattern for Mahesh movies in recent times, shooting at leisurely pace in the beginning and then running against the time in the end. Lets see, how Maharshi will entertain us on 25th April.
Just Coincidence, Not Politically-Motivated: Renu
Renu Desai meeting Farmers in Kurnool District for a show to be aired by Sakshi TV when Pawan Kalyan was touring the same region became a hot topic. The Former Actress clarified her tour was no way related to the politics. Still, The negativity hasn’t stopped and hence she decided to put an end to baseless speculations.
Yet again, Renu Desai clarifies: ‘There were many speculations based on Kurnool district tour of Myself and Pawan Kalyan guru. Actually, Planning for my tour was done two months ago. I was supposed to visit the place one week go but It got delayed due to few issues. It’s just a coincidence that Pawan and Myself toured Kurnool at the same time’.
The Actress-turned-Director explained that she wishes to make a feature film on farmers issues and that is why a farmers-based show was attempted by her for in-depth understanding of the problems they face. She questioned, ‘If I wish to join any political party, What is the need for Me to maintain any secrecy? Few workless & mindless people are talking rubbish. Why do they want to create a scene when I am working for a good cause?’.
Upon knowing that Pawan Kalyan was also touring Kurnool district, Renu Desai sent a message to Akira Nandan to inform about it. The Teenager felt very happy knowing that his Father and Mother are in the same town. ‘Why should it be an issue for anybody else if we have nothing to complain? Few media houses has become a headache for Me,’ she commented.
Chitti Gets A Long Name In China!
Lyca Productions announced long before that they are aiming at China release for 2.0. They said that the movie will have widest release for any South Indian film there.Shankar has been aiming to capture Chinese market too for his films as that will make his films more profitable and allow him freedom to think even bigger.
His I, was supposed to release there and it was even shot extensively. The movie couldn’t release and the producer is no longer even producing films.But 2.0 has a universal story of emotions that Chinese can connect with. So, the movie is titled, “Bollywood Robo 2.0 Resurgence”.
Movie has extensive VFX work too, which seems to be loved by Chinese. If movie becomes a success there, Lyca can cut some of its losses from the project.It cost them more than 450 crores to make the movie but it did make profits even though it became a reasonable success on brand value.
