Talk: Three Biopics In NTR Mahanayakudu

Share

As #NTRMahayanakudu has hit cinemas the other day, already there were huge discussions going on about the film on social media. With the second part also opening to mixed talk, already trollers are busy showcasing their art of humor.

Especially there are those who are saying that by promising to show the biopic of NTR, Balayya has shown three biopics now. Because when we look at the scenes highlighting Basavatarakam and her strong support to NTR are seen, it looks like Krish has rather made a biopic of NTR’s wife. And with the film starting and ending on Basavatarakam’s scenes, this feeling won’t go away.

On the other hand, #NTR Mahanayakudu also showcased that it is Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the true savior of Telugudesam during the crisis time of Nadendla’s coup. And most of the second half runs on the schemes and plans conceived by Naidu, and also it depicts that without him today the Telugudesam party is non-existent. Definitely, at one point, audiences start to feel like if they are watching Naidu’s biopic.

But if we say that along with NTR, these two parts make it three biopics, we will be wrong. The film is also a biopic of Nadendla Bhaskara Rao too, as the whole plot revolves only around him for the entire two hour duration, is what some netizens say.

Time For Sukumar To Do A Rajamouli

Share

The biggest problem in front of creative director Sukumar at the moment is, convincing star heroes with his scripts. Even after writing the fourth draft with full-fledged details, it looks like Mahesh Babu is not convinced with his writing. And that’s when Sukku needs to break the ice.

After delivering a superior blockbuster with a big hero, generally, everyone expects the directors to come up with something better than that movie. Now, Mahesh might be expecting Sukumar to come up with something that outshines Rangasthalam. Even if the directors come up with such script, it will be tough to judge as that Ram Charan starrer always plays in the back of mind for all heroes.

That’s the reason why Rajamouli never worked with big stars earlier after he delivered a big hit. After Simhadri, Rajamouli has chosen a hero like Nitin and made Sye. Then after Magadheera, despite the fact that all big stars are ready to give him immediate dates, he made Maryada Ramanna with Sunil. That way he toned down expectations by choosing a small hero. Only after Baahubali, he took a year time and came up with #RRR, unlike earlier.

Maybe Sukumar also should walk in this line and work with a secondary grade hero to carve a small film, such that the Rangasthalam aura will be toned down. Else, it’s not just Mahesh, but even other big star will also struggle to agree with this director’s scripts.

Buzz: Twitter wars going in ugly direction

Share

The issue between mega brother Nagababu and Nandamuri Balakrishna is refusing to die down though both the parties are not pursuing it. These so-called netizens, the hardcore fans of these families, are actually taking it to a new level everytime.

After the film #NTR Kathanayakudu got mixed talk, fans of Nagababu celebrated big time on social media, trolling Balayya and his fans. And then, the failure of Vinaya Vidheya Rama gave an exciting upper hand to Balayya’s fans as they trolled back Nagababu through Ram Charan’s Bihar-train-scene videos.

And this trolling is going to next level now as #NTR Mahayakudu also got mixed talk from the premiere show itself. That is now giving an edge to Nagababu’s fans to celebrate, as they are tweeting quite sarcastically on the film’s collections now.Surely these twitter wars are going in an ugly direction and one has to stop it at one point such that others could lead a peaceful life on the internet.

Shocking! Mahanayakudu Collections Lower than RGV’s Officer

Share

This is a shame. The collections of Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer “NTR Mahanayakudu” have lampooned the image of the star.

Balakrishna is one of the biggest stars in Tollywood but his film has collected just over Rs 1 Cr (not final number, early estimate) on day one from Telugu states. This is shockingly lowest ever collection for a big star movie in Telugu in the recent times.

Trade was shell-shocked when Ram Gopal Varma’s Nagarjuna starrer “Officer” posted lowest ever numbers on day one. “NTR Mahanayakudu” has got much low numbers than “Officer”.

The first day gross from a RTX Cross Roads theater for “NTR Mahanayakudu” is Rs 1,60,641, where as Ram Gopal Varma’s –“Officer” got collected Rs 3,44,718 from the same area on the day one.

The biopic of NTR has not even even collected half the amount of a disaster movie “Officer”.

Same is the picture in all the areas in Telugu states. Not even die-hard Balakrishna fans cared to go to the theater.

Rahul highly energetic, but what about party?

Share

All India Congress Committee president Rahul Gandhi has been displaying a highly energetic and aggressive posture, but his party in Andhra Pradesh appears to be weak and lacks the energy to retain its identity, let alone coming to power.

Those who watched Rahul climbing up the seven hills of Tirumala with a lot of pace and ease wondered whether he would infuse the same kind of energy into the party in Andhra Pradesh, which has completely lost its base.

Rahul trekked the seven hills on foot in just around three hours to reach Tirumala the abode of Lord Venkateswara.

He started off his walk from Alipiri at about 11.30 in the morning and climbed the steep steps so briskly that his security persons and other party leaders just could not match him in the pace.

Even his nephew Raihan Vadra, son of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who accompanied Rahul, had lost the race with his maternal uncle.

He was seen frequently gulping the water, as Rahul stopped here and there to greet pilgrims who were going on the pedestrian path to Tirumala.

The security personnel had a tough time all along the footpath route to restrain the pilgrims trekking the hills who are eager to come close with Rahul to greet him.

Earlier Rahul arrived from Delhi by a special flight and immediately drove straight to Alipiri, the foot of the hills to go to Tirumala on foot.

Senior leaders including state party in-charge Oomen Chandy, senior Congress leaders Chinta Mohan, former CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC president Raghuveera Reddy and a host of others reached Tirumala by road after seeing off Rahul at Alipiri.

Elaborate security arrangements were made all the pedestrian path to Tirumala, Tirupati and also, at the airport in view Congress party president visit to the pilgrim city to participate in the party programme to reassure it’s the commitment to special category status to Andhra Pradesh.

TRS is no different from any other party: Kavitha

Share

As Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao came under attack for not inducting a woman member into the cabinet, his daughter and Telangana Rashtra Samiti Lok Sabha member K Kavitha said Friday she can’t influence her father to do so.

Senior BJP leader in Telangana G Kishan Reddy recently hit out at Rao for not inducting women members in his recently expanded Cabinet and sought registration of a case against him.

The Chief Minister, who assumed charge on December 13 for the second time after TRS returned to power, has come under criticism for not giving representation to women in the Cabinet, which was expanded on Tuesday with induction of ten members.

In his first term Cabinet also, none of the women members secured a berth.

During an interaction at the Indian School of Business here, Kavitha said no political party, including the TRS, gave “equal space” to women in politics. This issue would get addressed only if it’s mandated by Parliament or the Election Commission, she opined. Kavitha said of the total of 85-plus TRS MLAs, only four were women.

“I would never shy away and today I again reiterate that no party — it could be TRS, it could be Congress, it could be BJP, whichever party, it will not give equal space to women unless and until it is mandated by the Election Commission of India or the Parliament, she said.

“If you talk about me wielding my power around my father (to induct a woman into the Council of Ministers), I don’t think that’s how it works in politics”, the lone TRS woman Lok Sabha member said.
Kavitha said she was a “very junior” member of the party and influencing her father, a leader with 40 years of experience, “is not going to work.”

“Trust me on that and especially for women, it has to be mandated….I never shied away from saying this because TRS is no different from any other party”, she said.Kavitha also said she does not hope that the Women’s reservation bill, which is pending in Parliament, would be passed in the near future.

TRS Needs 8 MLAs To Win Fifth MLC Seat

Share

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao nominated four candidates for the MLC polls and offered the fifth one to ally MIM, seeking to oust the Congress from the Council. The TRS needs eight MLAs to pull it off.

Going by their current strengths, the TRS could win four of the MLC seats in the March 12 election, and the Congress the fifth one with the support of the TD. Asking the MIM to contest from the fifth seat will force a contest.

If the Congress loses, it will be wiped out from the Council. There has been no TD member in the Council since 2015.

Mr Rao nominated home minister Mohd Mahmood Ali; Mr E. Mallesham and Mr S. Subhash Reddy, who were active in the statehood agitation; and former MLA Satyavathi Rathore, who was denied a ticket in the 2018 polls.

The MIM is yet to nominate its candidate.

‘Amaravathi public money looting’ does not come under RTI Act!

Share

The TDP government led by CM N Chandrababu Naidu in AP is already facing severe allegations of looting thousands of crores of public money in the name of construction of new capital city Amaravathi.Adding credence to these allegations, Naidu has now issued orders exempting “Amaravathi issues” from the purview of Right to Information (RTI) Act.

This is to check attempts of common people, social organisations and other concerned citizens to seek information under RTI Act on land acquisition, handing over of valuable lands in Amaravathi for Singapore companies and other private companies/ individuals, MoUs entered with various firms and individuals for construction of Amaravathi city.

This is seen as a clever ploy by Naidu to cover up scams and looting of public money by TDP leaders in the name of Amaravathi city.

Interestingly, Naidu himself is heading the CRDA (Capital Region Development Authority), which has been entrusted the job of construction of Amaravathi.

Naidu has handed over 1,691 acres to few Singapore private companies. They were allowed to develop plots and ventures and sell them on their own in return for construction of Amaravathi.

Naidu has set up Amaravathi Development Partners Pvt Ltd for the purpose, which is entering into MoUs with Singapore private firms.

Naidu has issued orders not to disclose these MoUs under RTI leading to allegations that TDP government was trying to cover up scams.

Concerned citizens who are approaching CRDA for information under RTI are denied details saying that Amaravathi MoUs are ‘top secret and highly confidential’ and does not fall under the purview of RTI Act.

Citizens question if there were no scams, where was the need for Naidu to hide information and bringing Amaravathi out of RTI Act.

H4 EAD Removal Proposal, Now In White House

Share

The US white house has formally received the proposed changes in the regulations to end the work authorization of H1-B spouses (H4 EAD), which could impact as many as 90,000 Indians in the USA.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has sent this proposal to the White House of management for budget on Wednesday.

The White House needs to take a final call on it and it carries out a review of the regulation only after taking inputs from various agencies. This process could take weeks to months before the White House issues its final decision on H4 EAD removal.

According to USCIS, the proposal will not be final until the review and comment process is complete. If the White House agrees to the proposal to end H1-B spouse work authorization program, the regulation would be published in federal register and allow a 30 day comment period, after which the change comes to action.

Forget Bikini Pics, Watch NTR Biopic!!

Share

Sizzling in glamorous roles will earn huge work and pay, but pulling off the character artist roles is somewhat tough for many heroines. Some beauties, however, could sizzle in both the types.

The name Poonam Bajwa rings us of films like Modati Cinema and Nagarjuna’s Boss, which have hit cinemas a decade ago. Later she went to Tamil films and though appeared in glam roles, nothing worked out. And recently her pics from the pool are super trending in film circles as the 30-year-old is looking for a breakthrough in films.

However, she has sprung a surprise appearing in the role of legendary NTR’s elder daughter Garapati Lokeswari. Not many identify that it is Poonam, but actually, she appeared quite serene and dignified in that character, and also delivered the needful with just simple expressions.

Probably if filmmakers watch NTR Biopic, they will forget Poonam as that lady chilling out in bikinis, and cast her for supporting roles for sure. So, will this hottie get ready to play such roles in other films?

#NTRBiopic: Those Three Outshined Everyone

Share

Finally, the much awaited #NTRMahayanakudu is also out in theatres and everyone is waiting for the audiences to give their verdict. But the initial reports are indicating that this film is full of surprises for film lovers who expected it to have every frame centered on Nandamuri Balakrishna.

For people who thought that there will be Balayya all over the film, the presence of three other stars in some strong content-driven roles is quite astonishing. Firstly we have to talk about Vidya Balan, who has played NTR’s wife Basavatarakam and delivered a terrific performance. In some scenes, you can’t take eyes off her natural performance.

Secondly, it is Marathi actor Sachin Khedekar who wore the shoes of former CM and NTR’s founding member of Telugudesam party, Nadendla Bhaskara Rao. In giving that varied dimension to the film, in excelling as a politician who suffered from insecurity and loved the CM chair than serving people, he has portrayed a myriad of emotions in an intense manner.

And then comes the third one, which none are expecting to take the major slick of the cake. He is Rana Daggubati, who played the role of Chandrababu Naidu in NTR biopic. He has simply stunned with his mere ability to look into the camera and convey his complex thoughts.

Definitely, these three are a huge revelation in the film, other than Balayya, who has excelled in the role of his father NTR quite comfortably.

Pic Talk: The Real Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy

Share

In the wake of Megastar Chiranjeevi coming up with the magnum opus #SyeRaa, which deals with the story of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who fought against the anarchic British East India Company quite bravely, his story is getting quite popular.

Known as the first ever patriot who turned against the tyrannous Britishers, Uyyalawada got hanged by the English people on February 22nd, 1847, a century prior to India got independence. As it happens to be the death anniversary of Uyyalawada, today #SyeRaa team shared the original picture of the freedom fighter.

The British have brought the monochrome photography to Indian back in 1830s, though official records indicate that we got the camera in 1855. However, this photograph of Uyyalawada proves that there was photography in 1830s and 40s itself as this Zamindar got one clicked.
