Naidu Ropes In Sivaji To Attack TRS

Share

One does not know whether the so-called “data theft” case would stand in the court of law or not, but Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is definitely trying to exploit it to the maximum extent by whipping up Andhra sentiment and making electoral gains.

Apart from making a huge propaganda on the alleged conspiracy by Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhara Rao in collusion with YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy during the daily press conferences and teleconferences, Naidu has now roped in “Operation Garuda” fame and actor Sivaji to fan the flames of pro-Andhra and anti-Telangana sentiment.

On Saturday, Sivaji was back with his typical style of making sensational “revelations” against the political rivals of the TDP.

He alleged that KCR was conspiring with the YSRC to defeat the TDP because “the Telangana chief minister is aware that as long as Naidu is in power, he cannot compete with AP in development and welfare.”

He went on to allege that Telangana did not have any port facility and KCR wanted to gain control over Vadarevu port with the help of Jaganmohan Reddy.

“If Naidu comes back to power, AP will be far ahead of Telangana in terms of development, which KCR does not want. That is why he is going all out to defeat the TDP and bring Jagan to power,” Sivaji alleged.

He dismissed the allegations of data theft and said it was nothing but an attempt to divert the attention of the people y the BJP-led Central Government in collusion with the Telangana government.

“Obviously, Modi does not want people to discuss about truncated railway zone or special category status,” he said.

As usual, Sivaji flaunted a handful of documents supporting his argument and drew some graphics on the board to explain the conspiracy of KCR.

He explained how the Telangana government had indulged in real data theft in collusion with the Election Commission way back in 2015 to delete the names of voters in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Nizambad district.

He said that nobody would do anything like data theft in Hyderabad after the fiasco like a vote for note scam.

“IT Grid into focus is the high drama enacted by Telangana government. But it ruined the Hyderabad brand image irreparably,” he said.

The first trailer of Ram Gopal Varma’s “Lakshmi’s NTR” has created great sensation and attracted millions of views.

The second trailer too is setting the internet on fire. The brand new trailer which hit out at Nara Chandrababu Naidu is also trending top on Youtube.

The video has already reached to the third position on Youtube Trends within 12 hours of release.

Mind it, all these are organic views, not paid promotional hits. It has crossed 2 million views on real time in 12 hours.

Ram Gopal Varma’s biopic on NTR is looking more authentic. He also dealt it with realistic approach.

The trailer has given clear view that the film will not be shying away from any aspects of Lakshmi Parvathi’s episode in NTR’s life and the infamous coup by Nara Chandrababu Naidu will form the core plot. Naidu is the villain here.

The film’s official release date (March 22) will be announced shortly.

Premam and Fidaa girl Sai Pallavi was in news recently for being the front runner to grab the leading lady’s role in Mahesh Babu-Anil Ravipudi film. But, she is rumoured to have said no to the offer for reasons unknown.

‘Sita On The Road’ Trailer: Five women and their obstacles

Share

Marking International Women’s Day on March 8th, the trailer of ‘Sita On The Road’ is released. It’s a tale of five different women from five different backgrounds. Kalpika Ganesh, Gayatri Gupta, Khatera Hakimi, Nesa Farhadi and Uma Lingaiah have played the lead roles.

The trailer starts with Kapika who says she is vexed with the people around her and she leaves far from all her people. In the course of her journey, she comes across with four women who are also battling against all odds. The trailer is packed with hard hitting dialogues and there are few cuss words as well.

‘Mana Parents Manni Chadipinchedi, Manam Baagupadadam Kosam Kaadu… Repu Goppinti Sambhandam Raavadaaniki…’ (The reason parents educate us is not for our well-being… it’s for a good alliance in futue).

‘Sita On The Road’ is written and directed by Praneeth Yaaron and this is an original road film. Overall the trailer appears like a strong and bold content film with the kind of women struggling in the society.

The director has also composed music for the film.

PKC 2 Trailer: Routine Horror Comedy

Share

Prema Katha Chitram had set a new benchmark. Besides setting the BO on fire, the film had paved way for a new genre – Horror Comedy – in Tollywood leading several films to join the bandwagon. The makers of PKC have now come up with Prema Katha Chitram 2 to revive the trend. Whilst this is neither a sequel nor does it have same cast or director, the production house RPA Creations brings it with Sumanth Ashwin, Nandita Swetha under Hari Kishan’s direction.

The trailer has some fun moments. But unlike original where horror dominates and fear grips, this PKC 2 seems to be lacking in arising fear among viewers. Although this is just a trailer, it doesn’t have a strong impact like how its original had created. Clearly, Maruti’s magic seems to be missing going by the trailer of PKC 2.

For PKC 2 to work at the Box Office, it depends on comedy, horror generated between ghost and Sumanth Ashwin, comedians Vidyullekha Raman, Krishna Teja. Also, one has to see how Krishna Teja would match up to Saptagiri who had played a significant role in the first part. Overall, PKC 2 Trailer is just okay, but certainly it is no match to PKC.

TRS is resorting to “Mental Torture”: Chandrababu

Share

Referring to the involvement of Telangana government in the alleged ‘data theft’ issue and harassing employees of IT Grids as well as Andhra people doing business in Telangana, AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi is resorting to “mental torture” tactics to destabilise AP government.

Pointing out the cases against AP government and the alleged misuse of “voters data”, he said that the Telangana government and the Centre is trying to “damage Andhra Pradesh economically because it is doing well in all indicators. If they (TRS and Telangana government) really have so much love for my state and my people, then they should be paying the power dues amounting to Rs. 5000 crore to AP government first. This will help a revenue deficit state likes ours, instead of these cases and making our life more difficult here, in a new state when we are faced with enormous challenges.”

According to Chandrababu, “The Government of India and the Telangana government are causing mental torture and killing the leadership. This is atrocious…attacking persons, foisting cases, terrorising them… who gave you this authority?,” he questioned, adding that “how can one state involve in the internal matters of another state? It is breach of sovereign rights of a state and anti-democratic.”

Urging the immediate intervention of the Election Commission in the issue, he said that even legitimate voter’s are being removed from the list. “They have stolen my party’s data, they dismantled my service providers. It is a planned approach to destroy everything, systematically. The vendetta is being plotted against my state. They have stolen my data and handed it over to the Opposition..”

Responding fiercely to how YSRCP is colluding with TRS and BJP to hit AP economically and politically, he said: “At the same time they are blaming the state government for data breach? Who are they (TRS) to blame? I am here to protect my data. We are very clear having 65 lakh cadre data. Only service and education and insurance are monitored. This is a serious crime by these people (TRS, YSRCP and BJP),” he added.

IT Raids on Allu Aravind’s Office

Share

As per T-town buzz, IT raids have been conducted on producer Allu Aravind’s office. IT sleuths have reportedly conducted raids last night at Geetha Arts office in Jubilee Hills. The raids are said to be as part of normal procedure which IT officials do on regular basis on several firms.

Whilst IT raids on Tollywood producers isn’t new, the timing of the raids – financial year end gains some significance. Geetha Arts and its sister company GA2 Pictures have two good releases in FY 2018-19. Both Geetha Govindam and Taxiwala which has Vijay Deverakonda in the lead were successful in this fiscal year. And the production house is gearing up to bankroll big-budget film with Trivikram and Allu Arjun in association with Haarika & Hassine Creations.

With IT raids on Geetha Arts, several other top producers, distributors got alerted and prepared themselves for any such raids, sudden inspections on their offices.

Now, TRS leaders file case against Chandrababu

Share

As a retaliation to AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s comments calling the Telangana government and the Centre as “economic terrorists,” referring to the IT Grids case, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders approached the police with a complaint on the AP Chief Minister for ‘hurting the sentiments of Telangana people.’

“We have registered a case against TDP Chief and AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for hurting our sentiments. He is hurting the image of Telangana people and the state. This is not the right way to behave,” said TRS leaders, after filing a case. The IT Grids case and the alleged data theft has become a bone of contention between the two states, creating bitterness between the two.

Just yesterday, AP Chief Minister said that the Telangana government and the Centre are terrorising companies and people belonging to Andhra Pradesh with I-T raids and other such blackmail tactics “like in Bihar.” Accusing the Telangana government of foisting false cases on AP government, he said that the TRS, BJP and the YSRCP are trying their best to destabilise AP government.

Responding to this, political observers have pointed out that these allegations and counter-allegations will continue because this is the elections season. However, they pointed out that the TRS leaders also need to be aware that their party Chief and other leaders create a “worse anti-Andhra sentiment during the Telangana elections, by badmouthing Andhra people. They also need to remember that they had gone very personal and did make an effort to sow seeds of bitterness against AP people living in Telangana.” So, they need to understand that “using sentiment in this case and making it a Telangana image” issue doesn’t work as it is purely a political fight between the two parties, said the political observer.

A Rumour About AP DGP Going Viral In YSRCP Groups!

Share

AP DGP Thakur RP Thakur is under severe criticism from Opposition YSR Congress Party leaders who are accusing the former of acting in favour of the TDP. Even AP BJP leaders are alleging the AP police of acting in favour of ruling TDP. In this backdrop, media reports are rife that RP Thakur would be replaced. A Telangana vernacular, owned by KCR, has reported a speculation that RP Thakur could be replaced as AP DGP. It is reported that the Election Commission would change incumbent DGP and could appoint a new person as AP DGP once the Election Code comes into the force. As there are several allegations against AP DGP that he is in favour of ruling party and also with the ongoing ‘Data Theft’ war between TDP and TRS, YCP, looks like EC may consider changing the option.

Even Opposition leader YS Jagan has given a formal complaint to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora in New Delhi. Jagan has asked the CEC to change the top police officials in AP. With BJP, YCP, TRS are vouching for the change of DGP in AP, speculations are rife that RP Thakur could be transferred.

Even the rumours of appointment of new DGP for AP is going viral in several whatsapp groups of YSRCP.

In fact, the Election Commission has been acting strict on AP. It has been taking special care on AP. EC had asked AP state government to change its Electoral Officer RP Sisodia. As per EC’s request, AP has changed Sisodia and appointed Dwivedi as the new CEO (Chief Electoral Officer). Even the EC has ensured that Srikakulam district collector is changed as it was not satisfied with his presentation on the preparations of Elections.

Even as Srikakulam collector Rama Rao was very new and assumed charge as Srikakulam collector only a few days before presentation, EC had reportedly directed AP state government to transfer Rama Rao. AP government had posted Rama Rao as the Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner. Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner Nivas has been appointed as the Collector and Magistrate of Srikakulam.

In this background, speculations are also rife that EC could change AP DGP.

Harish Rao, KTR challenge each other!

Share

The ruling TRS party is going with all guns for the Lok Sabha polls. Accordingly TRS working president KTR is touring all the Parliament segments in the state and on Friday, he visited Medak. In the public meeting which was also graced by Medak TRS MLAs and leaders, Siddipet MLA Harish Rao and KTR challenged each other.

Speaking first Harish Rao said, “For TRS, we have no competition with Congress or BJP or Telangana TDP. We have to compete with ourselves and our Karimnagar and Warangal Parliament candidates. Medak Parliament should get maximum majority and it will act like a gift to CM KCR. The oppositions have already lost way before the elections, so the people of Medak should vote for TRS.”

In counter, KTR said, “I completely agree with ‘Bava’ Harish Rao. The poll fight is within TRS party and I challenge him and leaders on the stage to prove their stamina by getting majority more than Karimnagar Parliament seat. But I will show my power at least by getting one vote more than Medak Parliament seat.”

TRS is eyeing 16 seats out of the 17 in Telangana. Harish Rao is also in contention for the Lower House.

Another media channel blacklisted by YSRCP

Share

It is a well-known fact in the Telugu states that ever since bifurcation, political parties have began cracking a whip on Telugu news channels. While TV9 and ABN had faced Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) ire and crackdown for being anti-Telangana, Sakshi in AP has faced the heat from Telugu Desam Party.

Now, YSR Congress Party’s mouthpiece Sakshi is known to be run by the party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. YSRCP has already blacklisted Eenadu and Andhrajyoti media groups, along with TV5. Now, the party believes that another channel is wreaking havoc on its image in the state and hence, has decided to blacklist it from their list of media. TV5 is another channel which is said to have annoyed Jagan personally, with its negative stories on YSRCP. Apparently, 99TV which promotes and supports Jana Sena Party has made it to this list of media houses that need to be kept away by the YSRCP.

99TV, according to YSRCP leaders, has been airing anti-YSRCP and anti-Jagan stories which seem to have upset the party high command and hence, has taken this decision. Additionally, the party alleges that several Telugu Desam Party supporters and followers are using the clips from this channel to spread propaganda against Jagan. “TV5 reporters have been removed from YSRCP media group. Even 99TV is facing the same thing,” said a source from the party.

However, while Telugu Desam Party hasn’t banned any channel or media outlet, Sakshi media group’s journalists are barred from questioning in the party’s press conferences.

Parakala Prabhakar is a snake: Nagababu

Share

Opening up in an interview about Praja Rajyam Party, film actor Nagababu said that the party founded by his brother K. Chiranjeevi was aimed at providing social justice to people. “My brother wanted to use his popularity and image to do social service and enter public sphere as a leader,” expressed Nagababu, adding that he was misguided by several people who had then joined the party.

Revealing a few unknown facts, he said that the idea to set up Praja Rajyam came much before the 2009 elections. “We should have done it then only. But, unfortunately, we did it just a few months before the elections. This became a challenge for us as we did not have the time to build party cadre,” he said, adding that even the pressure from turncoat leaders from other parties led to the crumbling of the party.

Jana Sena Party, according to him, has been formed after learning from the mistakes of Praja Rajyam Party. “Kalyan babu (Pawan Kalyan) has been careful about who he takes into the party. He has learnt from the mistakes as he had seen the kind of people who brought Praja Rajyam down. Parakala Prabhakar who was a trusted person by Chiranjeevi garu, walked into a meeting and spoke ill of the party. That is why Kalyan Babu called him a covert,” said Nagababu, adding that “he is a snake in the form a human being.”

“Kalyan Babu is a nice man. Hence, he called Parakala garu covert. I speak my heart out and hence, he is a snake for me. He has betrayed his own party and walked out. What else would you call such people?,” he said. There were several instances in the past few years when Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan had criticised and opened up about former Advisor Communications to AP Government, Dr. Parakala Prabhakar, for deceiving his brother Chiranjeevi and misguiding him, eventually forcing him to merge the party with the Congress. “It was a forced decision and there was tremendous pressure on Chiranjeevi garu. He succumbed to it, left with no option,” expressed Nagababu.

MLA Ditched Reddy Brothers, Joins TRS!

Share

With the Lok Sabha polls in the offing, ruling TRS party has initiated the ‘Operation Akarsha’ in the Telangana. After Rega Kantha Rao and Athram Sakku, one more Congress MLA is on his way into the CAR party.

Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah is prepping up himself to join TRS and accordingly met minister and incharge of Nalgonda district TRS, Jagadeesh Reddy and held negotiations. After meeting the minister, Lingaiah is said to have also met CM KCR at Pragathi Bhavan secretly.

This is not just a blow to Congress but also to Komati Reddy brothers as Lingaiah is a staunch follower of them. In the recent assembly elections, it was Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy who lobbied for Lingaiah’s ticket. With Lingaiah’s exit, the Congress is almost deserted in the Nalgonda district. It’s only Komati Reddy brothers, Jana Reddy and TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy left in Nalgonda Congress.

The date of Lingaiah formally joining TRS is yet to be decided. TPCC and CLP are yet to react on Lingaiah’s move to TRS.
