Director Mahi V Raghav’s recently released biopic on former AP CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy, Yatra, has completed its theatrical run. Although the film didn’t set the box office on fire, Mahi earned a positive response for his sincere and sensible portrayal of the legendary politician.

In Yatra, Mahi directed the Malayalam Megastar Mammootty. And now, Tollywood grapevine is abuzz with the news that Mahi’s next film will feature Mammootty’s son and young Mollywood heart-throb Dulquer Salmaan as the main lead. Apparently, Mahi had met Dulquer recently and narrated him the film’s script and got his approval.

Furthermore, PVP Cinema, the banner that has produced big budget entertainers like Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam, Maharshi and Nag-Karthi’s Oopiri to name a few, will produce the Mahi-Dulquer Salmaan film. The regular shooting for this yet to be titled film will commence from May. An official announcement about the project will be out very soon.

It was Namrata who brought in Sony Pictures on board for the project. That is her investment but she will get share for brand name of Mahesh Babu.
