The political rivalry in Jammalamadugu constituency in Kadapa district among Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders has reached party Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu. Of late, there have been differences between Adinarayana Reddy who is a minister in AP cabinet and Rama Subba Reddy, another leader from the faction-ridden constituency.
Apparently, the TDP Chief set up a meeting with the two leaders along with TDP MP CM Ramesh and told them that one would get to contest an MP seat and the other as an MLA. During the discussion, Chandrababu asked them to arrive at a decision and inform him. Several issues cropped up during the meeting which went on till early morning. Tired of not reaching a conclusion, Chandrababu told them to decide and give him their decision within two days.
However, the Jammalamadugu leaders still seem to have no solution about it and Chandrababu is not happy with this news. According to TDP sources, Adinarayana Reddy is said to have told Chandrababu that if he is given an MP seat, it is the TDP Chief’s job to convince his supporters and that it should be taken care of by him. On the other hand, Rama Subba Reddy also hasn’t arrived at a decision.
With this ongoing tussle between the two leaders, it is said that Chandrababu may soon arrive at a final decision and both of them will have to accept the outcome.
This young hero has shot to fame all of a sudden for his intense acts. At a time when his career is going places, some rumors along with photos have come out which spoke at length about his love life. But here is the twist.
Recently at a press conference, this hero commented that he will be looking forward to marrying a girl from that particular city in Andhra Pradesh. Of course, he said that to showcase his love for the city that hosted him for a couple of months. But those who know about his personal life are saying that he should not have given that statement.
Actually, he has fallen in love with a foreign girl who has acted in his previous blockbuster. Since then he is traveling back and forth to Belgium in Europe to spend time with her. Even his parents are said to have approved of this relationship. Amidst this happening, saying that he will marry a Kakinada girl is not being digested by some of his fans.
Either the hero wanted to give a coloring that he isn’t into any relationship, or he might have generally emphasized it that way to showcase his love for that city.
There have been many versions in the air about the differences between Tarak and Balakrishna, and also how it shaped up to keep the young actor away from appearing in NTR biopic and how he kept himself away from the election campaign.
Neither Balakrishna nor NTR would speak up on this directly and we have Kalyan Ram to reveal facts to some extent. The other day, Kalyan Ram spoke to news daily about many interesting things and this question on how Tarak could not Tarak be part of Balakrishna’s NTR biopic is also answered.
When asked on why there is nothing for Tarak in the famous biopic of NTR, Kalyan Ram started off saying that there is no role of ‘Balakrishna’ in the film, as it all deals more about NTR himself. The makers wanted to show what is needed and necessary, according to Kalyan Ram. And coming to Tarak’s absence, Kalyan Ram reminded how Balakrishna invited Tarak to the important event of audio release and asked him to unveil the songs of ‘NTR’.
“It won’t be fair to ask Tarak to play a small role in NTR biopic and that won’t even make the fans happy. Even for my films, I cannot just ask Tarak to appear in a glimpse just because of him being my brother. He is a superstar and he deserves respect for his stardom” says Kalyan Ram.
What ensured TRS partys’ stupendous victory in the recent Telangana Assembly polls?
Is it KCR’s famous abuse of criticising leaders of Mahakutami as “Thoo mee bathuku cheda”? or KTR’s chanting Rangasthalam song? or Harish’s typical self-created proverb of ‘Shaneshwaram’?
TRS leaders and cadre acknowledge that it’s KTR’s ‘Rangasthalam’ and Harish’s ‘Shaneshwaram’ proverb has struck a perfect chord with voters than KCR’s abuses.
In all the election meetings that he addresed, KCR chanted popular song from Ramcharan’s Rangasthalam movie, “Aa Gattununtaava Naganna, Ee Gattununtaava”, to caution Telangana voters to decide for themselves whether they want to remain with TRS, which is a true Telangana party or they want to remain with Andhra Party TDP-dominated Mahakutami.
During the recent launch of Ramcharan’s “VVV” trailer, KTR, who was the chief guest, admitted that he used Rangasthalam song in almost all the election meetings which evoked huge response and he thanked Ramcharan and music director Devi Prasad for contributing to TRS victory in this form without their knowledge.
But KTR was quick enough to crack a joke saying that Ramcharan and Devi Sri should not ask him now to pay money for using Rangasthalam song.
Similarly, Harish’s created his own proverb “TRS vasthe Kaleshwaram, Congress vasthe Shaneshwaram” to send a clear message to Telangana voters that if TRS comes to power, Kaleshwaram project will be completed and if Congress comes to power, people will be troubled by ‘shani’, which brings sorrow, sickness, depression and other ill-effects.
People decided to remain with TRS gattu from KTR’s Rangasthalam song and people favoured Kaleshwaram water over Shaneshwaram shani and the result is history.
The other day, while speaking to the media, Chandrababu Naidu was up to his usual tricks and in response to a question said, “What is Jagan’s problem if the TDP and Jana Sena fight the elections together?”This naturally created a sensation and created the impression that despite his vociferous criticism of the TDP governance, Pawan Kalyan was still an ally of the TDP.
However, in a swift rebuttal, Pawan Kalyan clarified on Twitter that Jana Sena would contest the 2019 polls independently and would only tie-up with the Left Parties.Unfortunately for Pawan Kalyan, he is viewed more as a community leader than as a person who can lead the entire State and with his community being the largest in the State, he has found himself in the right position at the right time.
But from what the public has seen of him till date, he doesn’t make a lot of sense most of the time and contradicts himself repeatedly. His brooding personality doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence either. For example, an intellectual like Jayaprakash Narayan parted ways with him within a few days after the grandiose launch of the much-hyped ‘Joint Fact Finding Committee’. Clarity is what seems to be lacking the most in Pawan Kalyan’s actions and statements.
Therefore, in announcing on Twitter that Jana Sena will contest all 175 seats, he has done the wise thing.History will prove whether his decision is right or wrong but what needs to be appreciated is his quick response and clarity on the issue which is probably the first time since he turned a politician.
And that is what is expected of a leader: clarity, decision-making and quick action. For the first time, Pawan has displayed all three and this is a step in the right direction.
We have seen many scams and shams in Tollywood in the recent times. Casting couch, drugs and other issues had brought bad name to the Telugu movie industry. And we regularly see cheating acts by some filmmakers. The latest such act is performed by a comedy director who goes by a name that sounds like a Hollywood director’s name.
He shot to fame with a comedy movie that starred a comedian. Buoyed by its success, he announced another movie with the same comedian but he didn’t complete it.The film was announced nearly three years ago. He took about Rs 75 lakhs from a mega producer who is known for his calculated mind. This mega producer recently is said to have realized that this comedy director has royally “used” him.
It is alleged that the director also took nearly Rs 1 Cr from five different NRIs promising them to be the partners in this film.Had he invested this borrowed money in the film, no body would have questioned him or talked about. All those who have given him the money have realized that he has used the amount for his personal needs, not for the film.
When the NRI investors have asked about the film’s status, he had promised them that it is still under production and he would part overseas rights to them as it is wrapped up.With mounting pressure, he recently released a song from the film and made some hungama on social media. The song has turned out to be damp squib.
Realizing his dodging act, the NRIs demanded their money back. However, he gave them post-dated cheque which were eventually not honoured by the banks. Now he is facing cheque-bounce charges.Sources say that he has started spreading bad reports about the NRI’s to defame the investors and he’s now silently selling off satellite and digital rights of the movie without informing the investors. This has pissed the investors off.
There are also rumors that he also took nearly Rs 20 lakhs from the actress he introduced in his first film as part of investment in this film and she is also fuming over his attitude. These kind of frauds by some filmmakers are bringing bad name to the industry and NRIs have stopped putting in money in Tollywood.
Hope the industry puts an end to these fraudsters.
Bharatiya Janata Party, which contested the 2014 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh in alliance with the Telugu Desam Party, has decided to go it alone in the 2019 general elections in the state.
This was announced by BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Kannna Lakshminarayana in Vijayawada on Thursday. He clarified that the BJP national leadership decided that the party should not enter into an alliance with any other political party in Andhra, but contest the elections on its own.
“This will help the party test its own strength in the state. We shall take into public how the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi had provided maximum assistance to Andhra Pradesh which no other state in the country had got in the last four and a half years,” he said.
Kanna came down heavily on Andhra Pradesh chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for spreading canards against the Centre on extending help to Andhra.
In Telangana, too, the BJP went alone in the recent assembly elections, but put up a miserable show despite massive campaign by all its top leaders including Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah, a dozen Union ministers and half a dozen chief ministers.
It could win just one seat as against five in 2014 and lost deposits in as many as 103 out 119 assembly seats.
However, it could retain its seven percent vote share in Telangana and played spoil sport with the chances of the Maha Kootami.
If it goes alone in Andhra, too, it cannot win even the four seats it had won last time. But, it would certainly damage the other parties.
It remains to be seen whether it would split the anti-incumbency vote or pro-TDP vote. If it splits anti-establishment vote as it has done in Telangana, it will help the TDP and if it other way round, it will benefit the YSRC.
From a friendly banter with Pat Cummins to lifting Tim Paine’s kids, becoming a babysitter, the tour of Australia has been a memorable one for Rishabh Pant till now as he has continued to perform with the willow and has also impressed his fans with his activities on the field.
The youngster came up with yet another gem of an act on the field as he did a kip-up after the conclusion of the drinks break during the second session of the day.
The move from Rishabh left his fans surprised and Cricket Australia was also impressed with him as it shared the video of it on its official Twitter account.
The left-handed batsman has been batting well on the second day and was on a score of 88 at the tea break.
He looks set to score his second international ton as he is not going for shots on each and every ball and is playing it on its merit.
