EVM Tampering No Excuse, Says Kodanda
The Telangana Congress leaders, including their in-charge general secretary from AICC R C Khuntia, are trying to attribute the party’s debacle in the recent assembly elections in the state to tampering of EVMs and large scale manipulation of votes in the final hours.But their alliance partner Prof M Kodandaram of Telangana Jana Samithi attributed the defeat of Maha Kootami to the over-confidence of the Congress and Telugu Desam Party leaders.
“The Congress leaders are not making a serious introspection into the political reasons that led to the defeat, but are trying to cover up their failures by blaming it on the EVMs. The main reason for the debacle is lack of adequate time for taking the agenda of Maha Kootami into the people,” he said.Kodandaram said having been associated with TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao, he had a fair understanding of the latter’s political and election strategies.
“I told the Congress and TDP leaders that we needed at least two months of time for campaigning so that we could take the agenda of the Maha Kootami into the people effectively. But the TDP and Congress leaders said three weeks or even 15 days’ time is enough for the campaigning,” he said.He pointed out that the Congress and the TDP leaders had been confined only to public meetings and rallies.
“There was no time to conduct door-to-door campaigning. Even senior leaders had wasted their energies only in sharing dais with Rahul Gandhi and N Chandrababu Naidu, rather than making extensive tour of the state,” Kodandaram said.He clarified that he did not take any decision regarding contesting in Lok sabha polls and dismissed the rumours that he would be nominated to Rajya Sabha by the Congress party.
ON the federal front initiative taken up by KCR, Kodandaram said the chances of its success are slim and remarked that only KCR would be able to tell the real purpose of the initiative.
He said KCR entering into politics of AP would only benefit Chandrababu Naidu.

Charan and Akhil Showing off 6-Pack Abs
Ram Charan has built body like a Rambo for “Vinaya Vidheya Rama” that is hitting the screens on Jan 11. For Ram Charan achieving six-pack abs is nothing new.He got them for his Bollywood debut “Zanjeer” and later he slimmed down and achieved six-pack abs again for “Dhruva”. He also showcased his upper bare body in a song in “Dhruva”.
In “Vinaya Vidheya Ram”, he got the body like Sylvester Stallone and the fight sequence in the film is also said to be inspired by one of “Rambo” movies. This fight sequence shot in Azerbaijan will be the main highlight, the team says.
In this same month, Akhil will also be showcasing his abs on silver screen. Akhil’s “Mr.Majnu” is releasing on January 25th and the youngster has also bulked up his body and achieved the six-packs.

Dr. Rajasekhar and director Prashanth Varma are taking us back to the 1980s with their upcoming film Kalki.After finding his mojo back with Garuda Vega, the veteran actor has waited long enough to sign up his next film.Kalki looks as promising as Garuda Vega in its look and appearance. The film is produced by Shivani Shivatmika and C. Kalyan.
It is touted to be another high budget film from Dr. Rajasekhar considering his market share.Prashanth Varma who made an impressive debut with Awe seems to have another intriguing project on his hands.

The popular reality show Bigg Boss is getting ready for its third season and guess what once again, the Telugu viewers are going to witness a new host.
After Jr NTR and Nani, the makers of the show have knocked the doors of hero ‘Victory’ Venkatesh to do the honours of hosting. This would be interesting as Venkatesh has never anchored a television show so far.

Chaitu Remaking Bareilly Ki Barfi?
The Akkineni actor, Naga Chaitanya, is going through a rough patch with a series of flops. His previous films Shailaja Reddy Alludu, Savyasachi, and Yudham Sharanam has disappointed the fans big time. Going by the latest set of rumors, Naga Chaitanya has agreed to feature in the remake of a Hindi film ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, a romantic comedy featuring Ayushmann Khurana, Raj Kumar Rao, and Kriti Sanon.
The 2017-movie was directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and written by Dangal filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. The film has opened to great reviews and did a decent box-office business for that year. Also, the original version bagged several awards and got nominated for multiple categories. For those unfamiliar with Bareilly Ki Barfi, its story is about a young girl who leaves her house to escape the marriage planned by her parents. She then catches a train and finds a book ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ on a platform. Later, she decides to meet that writer of that book. What happens after her meeting with a writer is the main story of the film.
Renowned writer and producer Kona Venkat will be bankrolling this remake project in Telugu. While Naga Chaitanya was reportedly roped in one of the lead roles, the makers are yet to finalize on other lead actors. If they follow the original film’s story structure, the Akkineni actor is more likely to reprise Ayushmann Khurana’s role. However, an official announcement about this project is yet to be made.
In the meanwhile, Chaitanya will come up ‘Majili’ which stars his wife Samantha as the leading lady.

Jagan To End Padayatra On Jan 9
Stage is set for the conclusion of YSR Congress party president and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s historic Praja Sankalpa Yatra, a marathon padayatra.According to sources, the party is working out schedule to see that Jagan will conclude his padayatra on January 9.
It would virtually mean he would be completing 14 months of his tour, barring the days of his appearance in the court and the days of his bed rest following attack on his life at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25.Sources said Jagan would conclude his padayatra with a massive public meeting at Ichapuram in Srikakulam district.
“Once the padayatra is completed, Jagan will take a break for a few days before commencing his intense preparations for the next elections. The feedback he has received during the padayatra would help him formulate the party manifesto and the philosophy of his government, if the party is elected to power,” a party leader said.
His padayatra, which is definitely a record in Indian political history, is also being documented in the form of a video clip that would be extensively used in the coming election campaign.The padayatra has definitely brought about a lot of maturity in his thinking and he would make use of his experience in working out his poll strategies, his party sources said
New Year shock to Congress: Azharuddin to join TRS
Former Indian cricket captain Mohd Azharuddin is all set to quit Congress and join TRS after Sankranthi.Azharuddin is learnt to be in touch with TRS chief and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao and expressed willingness to join TRS anytime after Sankranthi in the third week of January.
Interestingly, its MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, a close friend of KCR, who recommended KCR to take Azhar into TRS.Owaisi also recommended KCR to give Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat to Azhar in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in April 2019.Azhar, who has been appointed as Telangana Congress working president before recent Assembly polls, has expressed his desire to contest from Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat as Congress candidate in 2019.
However, former Congress MP from Secunderabad Anjan Kumar Yadav, who won twice from this seat in 2004 and 2009 but lost in 2014, refused to vacate the seat to Azhar.Anjan Kumar Yadav and his supporters created ruckus in Gandhi Bhavan after Azhar said he will contest from Secunderabad in 2019.They demanded Congress high command not to give ticket to Azhar. Upset with this, Azhar has been looking at other parties to secure Secunderabad ticket.
In this backdrop, Azhar attended the wedding of Owaisi’ daughter in city three days ago. CM KCR, KTR and Kavitha were also present in the wedding.On this occasion, Asad is learnt to have recommended KCR to take Azhar into TRS to which KCR readily agreed.Azhar joined Congress in 2009 and got elected to Lok Sabha from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
He did not contest 2014 elections and confined to Telangana since then.
KGF Set to Touch Rs 10 Cr Share
“KGF” is all set to become surprise super hit of 2018. The dubbed movie starring Yash was released on 21 December.It competed with other big Telugu movies like “Padi Padi Leche Manasu” and “Antariksham” but it is Yash’s action drama that won the hearts of Telugu audiences.
The movie has already collected Rs 7.5 Cr share in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and it is all set to breach Rs 10 Cr share.
This is huge achievement for a Kannada movie in Telugu states. No one was aware of Yash’s name in Telugu states before release of ‘KGF’.
The movie hit off with the audiences as it has provided some awesome mass moments. The film directed by Prasanth Neel is made with terrific production values.
It will run without any competition till the arrival of Sankranthi 2019 releases.
