Although YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been backing TRS in Telangana longtime from now, he has never opened up about his bond with KCR owing to his party’s political future in Andhra Pradesh. Jagan Mohan Reddy has always maintained a secret-pact with KCR and this has come out in the open during the Telangana elections where YSRCP has not contested but indirectly supported TRS.

As TRS stormed to power with a landslide victory, equations seem to be changing. As KCR and Owaisi have announced their support to YS Jagan in Andhra Pradesh and stated that they would do their best for Jagan’s win, Jagan is now set to meet KCR, KTR and Owaisi.

Inside buzz in YCP indicates that Jagan is mulling over to meet KCR and others soon. As KCR called for a non-Congress and non-BJP front nationally, Jagan wants to meet KCR and announce his support to the front. But internal strategy of Jagan is to cash in on KCR’s success in Telangana. Jagan is of the opinion that this is perfect time for YCP to join its forces with TRS as it is hot under the heels of its success.

Jagan is worried that joining with TRS just before 2019 polls would boomerang in Andhra Pradesh as it would give scope for Naidu to raise Andhra sentiment. Though KCR has been claiming of having an image in Andhra, the reality is that people of Andhra Pradesh hate KCR for his derogatory comments on them. People’s memory might be short, but the wounds KCR made in Andhra and Rayalaseema people’s hearts are still fresh. In this backdrop, Jagan wants to meet KCR and Owaisi isn’t a wise one.

However, Jagan begs different story. He told to his party’s seniors that meeting KCR won’t have an affect in AP. He reasoned that this is not as big blunder as hard-core rivals TDP and Congress forging an alliance. Jagan is planning to take support from KCR and Owaisi to take on Naidu. Will Jagan succeed? That we have to wait and see.

Earlier in the day, Bhanumathi- wife of Suri- spoke to a Telugu media channel & alleged that Paritala’s family is behind her husband murder. “Only to see happiness in the eyes of Paritala family members, Suri was assassinated”, said Bhanumathi by adding that Bhanu was assigned with the job to execute Suri for a fancy price. She even told that Bhanu became close to Suri only during when were in jail. She further added “our family did not know him from the past.”

Till his last breath, Bhanu had been a close aide of Suri and the former gained the trust and belief of Paritala family members. “It’s undoubtedly the Paritala’s family who deployed Bhanu for a huge money. Bhanu is even ready to kill for just Rs ten thousand.

Finally, Bhanumathi said she would have been glad if court had given death sentence to Bhanu.

If you are in power, whatever you do is considered right. But the same rule does not apply to the opposition parties.

Take for instance, the petition filed by Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders in the state legislative council – chief whip Paturi Sudhakar Reddy and whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy to the state legislative council chairman Swamy Goud the other day.

In their petition, they urged Goud to disqualify four TRS MLCs who had defected to the Congress party just before the recent assembly elections — Bhupati Reddy, Konda Murali, Yadava Reddy and Ramulu Naik.

The TRS leaders alleged that the four MLCs had shifted loyalties only to further their self-interests.

Without losing any time, Swamy Goud served show-cause notices to the four defected MLCs asking them why they should not be disqualified.

He asked them to give their responses within 10 days. Apparently, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao wanted to fill up the vacancies arising out of their disqualification with his own party leaders at the earliest.

Now, the question is why the same rule of disqualification would not be applicable to the TRS, which had admitted several Congress and the Telugu Desam Party legislators in the past. Congress MLC Mohammad Shabbir Ali also lodged a complaint with Swamy Goud seeking disqualification of K Damodar Reddy, who had also defected from Congress to TRS just before the elections.

“We gave a similar complaint earlier also seeking his disqualification, but no action was taken by the council chairman. When the TRS leaders gave the complaint against four MLCs, he acted swiftly. Why is this discrimination?” Shabbir Ali asked.

Even in the past assembly, as many as seven MLAs from Congress and 12 MLAs from TDP defected to the TRS and one of them – Talasani Srinivasa Yadav was also given the cabinet post.

Yet, assembly speaker S Madhusudhana Chary did not bother to look into the complaints seeking their disqualification!

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter and Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Wednesday reiterated her father’s comment that Congress president Rahul Gandhi was a real buffoon.
Speaking to media in Delhi, Kavitha said the chief minister had called Rahul by a name and its definition clearly said anybody who did silly things would be called a buffoon.

“It is as simple as that and there is nothing to doubt about the comment,” she said.She pointed out how Rahul Gandhi had broken all established practices of Parliament and suddenly crossed over to the other side to hug Prime Minister Narendra Modi.“Everybody felt it was a very silly move and that is why our leader responded,” she said.Kavitha exuded confidence that federal front of regional parties would be floated soon.

“Our agenda is to address to the people of this nation not the political parties. There have been various political groupings in the country which failed and few succeeded. Currently also there is a group called NDA that miserably failed to fulfil various promises. We believe that a neutral platform should be established which is free of both BJP and Congress,” she said.

On the non-BJP platform that is being proposed, the TRS MP pointed out that there was no cohesion among the parties in this group.“Someone proposes Rahul Gandhi’s name as prime minister and within the group, two strong regional parties raised an objection. Our federal front is not about bringing a party to power or making a person as the prime minister. It is about addressing the issues of the people,” she explained.

“We are working for a coalition which is free of both Congress and BJP and we are not B team of anything but B Team of the Indian people and the Indians,” she asserted.

During the electioneering for just concluded assembly elections in Telangana, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi went all out against the Telugu Desam Party for joining hands with the Congress to forge a grand alliance or Maha Kootami or People’s Front.During his election campaign, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao focused mostly on attacking TDP and its president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Raising the Telangana self-respect bogey, KCR warned the people against voting for Maha Kootami, as Naidu was conspiring to bring the Andhra colonial rule back into the state.He went to the extent of calling upon the people to choose between a remote controlled rule from Amaravati or a local self-rule.Such was the intensity of the TRS campaign that it was projected as a war between KCR and Chandrababu Naidu, rather than TRS-Congress battle.

At one stage, even the Congress leaders started saying that the alliance with the TDP was doing more damage than good to their party.Now that the TRS had won the elections in Telangana, it has changed its tune completely. It does not want create an impression that the Congress would have won the elections had it not allied with the TDP, as people of Telangana did not like Naidu and his party.

The TRS leaders have started saying that their party had won only because of KCR and his government’s pro-poor policies and not because of the Congress-TDP alliance.“People had decided to give victory to TRS party long back and the Congress party-TDP alliance had not made any difference. It didn’t affect the electoral fortunes of the TRS party’,” said TRS MP Vinod.He said that alliance has nothing to do with the success of TRS. He asserted that either Congress coalition with TDP or vice-versa was not responsible for the thumping victory of TRS.

He said that KCR worked for the development of Telangana and achieved success with blessings of people.“PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy is trying to escape from his failure and pointing Naidu as a reason for defeat in the elections. Naidu allied with Congress after KCR denied to join with TDP,” Vinod said.
