The First Crowdfunded Telugu Film Premieres In US Today
Manu, the first and fastest crowdfunded film in Telugu cinema hits screens in US today. Phanindra Narsetti, the director of popular short films Madhuram and Backspace is making his debut with a feature film. Raja Goutham and Chandini are playing the lead roles. Manu is so different that it only has 45 minutes of dialogues in a 3-hour film without any songs.
Manu is a novel attempt in story telling and will break all standard norms in Telugu Cinema. If there are any rules about movie length, commercial elements, songs, Manu will be the biggest outlier as it doesn’t stick to any of these rules. Manu is a sincere attempt to raise the bar and push the boundaries of Telugu Cinema.

Pooja Hegde To Star Opposite Prabhas In Next
Actor Prabhas on Thursday announced his next film, which will be directed by KK Radha Krishna and will also feature actress Pooja Hegde.Prabhas on Thursday took to his Facebook account to talk about his yet-untitled project, which will be in three languages.
“Hey guys, I am very excited to share with you the launch of my next trilingual film, directed by KK Radha Krishna and produced by Gopi Krishna movies in association with UV creations. The shoot for the same with Pooja Hegde will begin very soon,” he wrote.
The film is reportedly said to be a period love story set in the backdrop of Europe.Other details related to the movie are still under wraps.Prabhas was last seen on screen in 2017 in “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” and is currently busy shooting for “Saaho”, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh.
TRS announces candidates for 105 Assembly seats
Hyderabad: Hours after dissolution of the Telangana state Assembly on Thursday, ruling TRS announced candidates for 105 constituencies.Caretaker Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K. Chandrasekhar Rao released the list of candidates.
He announced the names at a news conference at TRS headquarters — Telangana Bhavan. He said only two sitting candidates were denied tickets.KCR, as Rao is popularly known, said candidates for the remaining 14 constituencies will be announced soon.He was addressing the media a couple of hours after the cabinet meeting, which recommended dissolution of the Assembly to pave way for early polls. Governor E. S. L. Narasimhan accepted the recommendation.
KCR was confident that fresh elections to the state Assembly will be held in November. “There is no confusion over this,” he said, adding that he has already spoken to the Chief Election Commissioner and requested him to hold the polls at the earliest.

Krishnam Raju To Get Rs 100 Cr!
As We reported earlier, it is rebel star Krishnam Raju who is actually producing Prabhas’s 20th film, but UV Creations will handle all the production formalities.Prabhas has given his dates to his pedda nanna Krishnam Raju long back so that he can earn some good money. Prabhas has been planning to settle good money to his uncle and his extended family.
Now Prabhas’s movies are doing more than Rs 200 Cr business from Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages (theatrical business).Satellite and digital rights also fetch huge money. So Krishnam Raju will definitely be getting nearly Rs 100 Cr from this film after deducting production cost and share for UV Creations.
The film was launched on September 6 in the direction of Radhakrishna and it has the names of Krishnam Raju’s Gopikrishna Movies and UV Creations banners attached to it.Pooja Hegde has been signed as the heroine. It will mostly be shot in Europe and UK as it is a period love story set in a foreign location.
Paripoornandna Ready To Join BJP?
Controversial spiritual leader and Sree Peetham seer Swami Paripoornanand is all set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party and if possible contest the coming elections as well.Paripoornananda told a media agency that he might join the BJP if their ideologies match. He is being projected as the Yogi Adityanath of Telangana by the saffron groups.He said there was a possibility of him joining the BJP, provided he got an offer.
“If I have to join, then the party will choose me. But I cannot run after the party. At the same, our frequencies have to match,” he said.The Swamiji kicked up a controversy with his sharp attack on controversial film critic Kathi Mahesh who made inflammatory comments on Ramayana.Following his provocative comments against other religious communities, Paripoornananda was externed from Hyderabad on July 11 for six months by the Hyderabad police. However, the Telangana High Court reversed the ban after a petition was filed by the Hindu seer.
Paripoornananda dismissed the comparison with Yogi Adityanath. He said the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s political expertise was far greater than his.”I and Yogi Ji are of the same age bracket, but he has more political knowledge because he is a four-time Member of Parliament and he is known for his unique identity,” he said.Paripoornananda confirmed that he will be working with BJP leader T. Raja Singh in the coming elections, saying that, “whoever works for Hindutva, I will work with them.”

Finally, after making headlines for the last couple of years, Prabhas’ 20th film under the direction of Jil helmer RadhaKrishna Kumar will have its grand launch this morning in Hyderabad in the presence of star director Rajamouli and several other celebrities. Prabhas’ uncle Krishnam Raju’s Gopikrishna Movies will bankroll the project in association with UV Creations.
Prabhas20 is a period romantic drama set in Italy. After Darling, Prabhas will once again be seen in an out and out loverboy’s avatar. He will playing the role of a palmist in this yet to be titled film. Pooja Hegde is paired with Prabhas for the first time.
Prabhas will undergo a drastic image makeover for Prabhas20. He will shed at least 10 kilos to look his part. Although the makers have not made any official announcement, it’s being rumoured that AR Rahman will compose the music for Prabhas20. The film will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously with a budget of over 150 crores.
‘Maharshi will erase my image’
Since his debut in Tollywood, actor Allari Naresh earned fame with comedy films and his humor has fetched him immense applause from Telugu audiences. Though he wanted to get launched as a villain, his first director Ravi Babu established him a comedy hero with ‘Allari’. And even today, most of the directors consider him to be only suitable for comedy genres.
But, director Vamsi Paidipally surprisingly got Naresh on board for an important role in his next film with Superstar Mahesh Babu – Maharshi. Speaking about this role in a recent interview, Naresh claimed that it will totally erase his existing image as a comedy hero.
Also, the Sudigadu star is pretty sure that his character in Maharshi will remind the popular ‘Gaali Srinu’ from Gamyam. Let us wait and see how Naresh has transformed himself for Maharshi!Maharshi, being bankrolled by Dil Raju & Ashwini Dutt, is the 25th film for Superstar Mahesh Babu. The film has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead role and it has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

MAA Controversy : Mahesh Calls Chiru
The ongoing controversy in the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) has become a big headache to the industry bigwigs. Since the events marking Silver Jubilee celebrations of the MAA have been planned in the US with stars Chiru, Mahesh, Prabhas et al and allegations are rife around those events, naturally there is a lot of focus on the issue.
Amidst this row, reports had it that Mahesh Babu may back off from the next big event of the MAA in the US that is aimed at raising funds to construct the association building of MAA. Clarifying these rumours and trying to set the record straight and also to smoothen the things, nonetheless Mahesh Babu told to have called Chiranjeevi who is now looking after the issue carefully. Mahesh said to have conveyed to Chiru about his willingness to attend the event once issues get sorted and the event is scheduled. Chiru said to have welcomed Mahesh’s move and appreciated him for taking initiative.
After a call from Mahesh, Chiru too seriously talking to both parties of MAA and trying to bring peace to the ongoing row and wants to get the ball rolling on this without any delay. However, the bone of contention is that Naresh & Co are demanding for a Facts Finding Committee and a decision on that is yet to be taken. A few are of the opinion that it may not be a healthy decision to constitute a Facts Finding Committee. One has to wait and see, what Chiru and others finally decide for.
