India Today’s Best CMs
Like every year, India Today has come up with its Best CM survey for the year 2018 as well. And it’s Mamata Banerjee who has been adjudged as the No.1 in rankings. While Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal stood second with 10 percent, UP CM Yogi Aditynath secured third rank with 9 percent. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has settled with Fourth Rank with 7 Percent, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh shared 5th place with 5 percent.
Osisha CM Naveen Patnaik has shared the sixth place with Telangana CM KCR with 4 percent in favour of them. Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy and Assam’s Sarbananda Sonowal have taken the next place (7th) with mere 3 percent. Goa CM Manohar Parikkar, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani and Haryana’s Manohar Lal Khattar together stood in 8th place with 2 percent.
This is the ‘Mood Of The Nation’ survey conducted by India Today for the category ‘The Best Performing CM’. The media house, however, mentioned a disclaimer that the ranks mostly reflect Political Popularity than Test of Governance. It said the results are subjected to the voters perception across the country. As Mamata is pitched as the next PM candidate of Opposition to take on mighty Modi, this rank is expected to come in handy for the Opposition parties. With 38 MPs for her party TMC, Mamta is already showing her domination.
Jagan Accuses Chandrababu of Having 5 Marriages
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has yet again unleashed an all-round attack on Chandrababu Naidu. In his fresh attack, Jagan rebuked Naidu of having 5 ‘political’ marriages. He alleged that Naidu had married BJP and divorced it. And accused him of now getting ready to marry Congress that divided the state unilaterally. He even pointed at CBN’s previous political alliances with CPI, CPM and TRS and described them of his ‘old’ marriages. Jagan accused Chandrababu Naidu of using BJP for his needs for 4 years and discontinued the marriage ahead of the elections.
Indicating at Nara Brahmin’s recent interaction with Rahul Gandhi as part of Gandhi’s Meet with the Business Persons, Entrepreneurs in Hyderabad recently, Jagan alleged Chandrababu Naidu of arranging the Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with his family members for the political talks. He even found fault with TDP for voting to Congress candidate in the Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election.
Jagan didn’t stop there. He went onto accuse Naidu of looting the state and splurging people money. Jagan alleged that Chandrababu has splurged Rs 6000 Crore public money in the last four years and said that had that money has been spent for Polavaram Irrigation Project, he said the water would have come by now. He said Chandrababu is full of lies, corruption, injustice. He further accused him of spending public exchequer lavishly and pushing the state into debts. Jagan found fault with Amaravati’s bonds where state government is raising Rs 2000 Crore through the bonds for the development of the Capital Amaravati.
On Rakhi, This Gold Sweet Costs Rs 9,000 Per kg
This Raksha Bandhan on August 26, a sweet will cost a whopping Rs 9,000 per kg. A sweet shop in Gujarat’s Surat has prepared an unique Sweet naming it as “24 Carats Mithai Magic”. It is different from other desserts as it is prepared covering with 24 carat pure gold leaf.
The owner of the Prince Mothaiwala shop said the new sweet variety is special on rakhi festival day. The new sweet variety will be made with pure ghee and dry fruits laced with gold leaf. Generally, sweets are made of with silver leaf. First time, they experimented with gold leaf. It will be one among the new varieties to be made available for people on the festival day.
The new varierty has been named ‘Gold Sweets’ which are the centre of attraction for all the customers visiting the shop. Gold on sweets is also good for health and people are also buying without worrying the cost.
RX100 Heroine Says No To Ram Charan!
Thanks to the blockbuster success of her maiden film ‘RX100’, Delhi girl Paayal Rajput is in high demand in Tollywood. Although she is flooded with offers, Paayal is carefully choosing the right projects.Recently, Paayal even said no to second heroine’s role in Teja- Bellamkonda Sai’s film. Buzz is that she has even said no to a special role in Akhil-Venky Atluri’s film, hinting that her eyes are only set on leading lady roles. When megastar Chiranjeevi hit a pause in his career, many directors tried to make films with him. Puri Jagannadh, Boyapati, Trivikram… and many others tried their luck to tempt him into doing his comeback film with them.Meanwhile, his comeback film happened. That apart, Chiranjeevi had said yes to a film with Surender Reddy who shot to fame with Race Gurram and Dhruva.Now, if Chiranjeevi himself says yes, it is good news for many top directors. However, Surender Reddy took his own time to confirm the film, reveals the film’s producer and Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan.
“That was a time when Surender Reddy was looking out for different stories. So, I had asked him to meet Paruchuri Brothers. He met them and immediately liked the story.However, despite it being a film with Chiranjeevi and me asking him personally, he did not say yes immediately. He took his own time as Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is not just a film, it is a huge responsibility,” shares Ram Charan.Though he asked him in the US, Surender Reddy returned to India and took a good one week before giving his final nod, says Charan adding that Surender Reddy had impressed his dad in one sitting.
“I had never seen dad saying yes to a story in one sitting. After hearing the story from Paruchuri Brothers, Surender Reddy got dad interested in just one sitting. So, a story that was in the waiting to be made for 12 years, finally began happening,” reveals Charan.He further added that the climax song of the film was also finalised recently. Incidentally, the song composed by Amit Trivedi was also okayed by his dad in single sitting, says Charan.
However, despite all this, Charan refrained from talking about the film’s budget. He simply concluded by saying that he was making a film that would remain in the hearts of mega fans and Telugu film fans for a long time.The teaser is already out and Ram Charan surely seems to have splurged on his dad’s film, while Surender Reddy decidedly seems to be making a period film that will be talked about for a while.
Sye Raa is being readied for a huge release during the summer of 2019.
