Exclusive: Lakshminarayana’s Party Name

Share

We exclusively learnt that the name of the new political party that would be started soon in Andhra Pradesh by former CBI official VV Lakshminarayana.

As per sources, the official name of Lakshmi Narayan’s party is Vande Mataram Party (VMP). Lakshmi Narayana is going to make it official on 26th Nov i.e Monday.

Looks like, the former IPS officer is likely to give tough competition to Pawan Kalyan and Janasena in AP as the ideologies seem to be similar. Also target set of voters for both PK’s Janasena as well as VMP would be similar as both are targeting the same educated voters and youth. Analysts opine that there could be a split of votes if Lakshminarayana’s Vande Mataram Party contests on its own without forging any alliance and thus it would eat into votes of Pawan. Let’s wait and see, what is in store.

2.0 Goes for Crisp Runtime of 149 Mins

Rajinikanth and Shankar’s “2.0” is going to be less lengthy movie in Shankar’s career. The film has been censored with 149 minutes of runtime with UA certificate. If we deduct the initial thanks cards and other such stuff, its actual runtime comes down to 138 minutes.

Shankar is known for telling movies with lengthy runtime, some of his movies had 2.50 minutes of runtime, but this time his editors cut it in taut manner and chose crisp runtime. The film does feature only four songs. So, this has given him chance to cut down the runtime.

“2.0” Telugu version is being released by NV Prasad but it is said that Dil Raju and UV’s Vamsi have also invested heavily in this movie for the rights by taking some areas in AP and Telangana. The Telugu rights are estimated to have bought for Rs 76 cr.

Nani’s Jersey: Three New Things Confirmed

Share

Preparing in the nets for a couple of months, finally, Nani is wearing pads and gloves to play cricket for his upcoming film “Jersey”. Meanwhile, much before anyone would expect, other day the makers revealed a surprising poster of the film.

The first surprise that has come from the poster of Jersey is the confirmation of release date of the movie. Though it’s too early if we have to go by Tollywood’s rulebook, Jersey makers announced that 19-04-19 (April 19th) is the release date of the movie. Whether it is 19-19 rhyming or summer holidays is the cause for fixing this date is not known.

Then the second new thing confirmed by this poster is that music director Devi Sri Prasad is no more part of this time and Tamil sensation Anirudh has taken over the reins. As the poster read his name bigger, we could definitely wait for that enchanting music now.

And the third thing is that recently there are rumors that PDV Prasad is walking out from Sitara and Haarika Haasini Creations owing to some differences with S Radhakrishna, but they are ruled out. Because he is the one who is presenting this film as usual in this banner.

Film Nagar Panchayati: Vikram Owes 1.5 Cr To Dutt?

Share

The minute you score a hit, many producers come running to give some advance money. But if you’re not doing a film with him in the near future, then you have to give that advance back with interest.

After the super success of Manam at the box office, we hear that senior producer Ashwini Dutt has sent one such suitcase to director Vikram K Kumar. But the director hasn’t worked with Dutt, nor he showed interest to bring a project to Vyjayanathi Movies banner. All these days the senior producer thought that Vikram will direct Nani in his banner, but that is also not happening.

With things not working out, now Ashwini Dutt has demanded his remuneration back. But as Vikram can’t pay it at the moment, the settlement done by Film Nagar Panchayati batch reads that whoever makes a film with Vikram should now pay 1.5 crores to Ashwini Dutt.

Given that many such settlements happened in the past in Tollywood, we can’t rule out this particular one too. But in the first place, with both Allu Arjun and Nani’s films ruled out, which hero is Vikram’s pick for his next?

Dear Kisses And Disorders, Your Time Is Over

Share

For every type of content, there is an expiry date. And if filmmakers are ignoring that, then their career will get expired. In recent times, this phenomenon is proved a couple of times. Have a look at it.

Last time Sreenu Vaitla spoke about a disorder and the result is clear. And then we have award winning director Ayodhya Kumar talking about a kissing fetish and the result is once again super clear. Wonder why Amar Akbar Antony and 24 Kisses ended up as such huge disasters? Here is a theory.

It is already said many times that the young generation has a new mindset and any filmmaker should play as per that. While picking a story on bipolar disorder is not wrong in the case of Amar Akbar Antony, but Vaitla has to pack it with some realistic elements than showcasing hero as a superhero without a cape.

In the same manner, one needs a good story with nice conflict points around 24 kisses, but mere kisses won’t do any magic. Gone are the days where people come to theatres to watch just a kiss, because YouTube and Netflix are offering much bold stuff than that.

So if anyone is coming up with a simple characterization for a film with only hero’s disorder or with a story that is based on just one kiss, then they are gone. Sample this: Both Arjun Reddy and RX100 had more story and screenplay than kisses and intimate scenes. That’s why they clicked.

Will CM’s Son Help Vijay Recover?

Few heroes and few directors always struggle hard to get a break. And sometimes a hit film will also fail to give them a break. One such director is now going to handle a hero who could invest himself crores of rupees for his movies.

Despite scoring hit with Nitin’s Gunde Jaari Gallantayyinde, director Vijay Kumar Konda hasn’t made anything big in Tollywood. With his next film Oka Laila Kosam featuring Naga Chaitanya going dud at the box office, it took years for him to bounce back.

Now, Vijay got the mighty chance to director ‘Jaguar’ fame Nikhil Gowda, whose father HD Kumaraswamy has become a Chief Minister of Karnataka in the most surprising manner last year. No doubt, this film should help the director’s career to be revived.

Earlier there was buzz that this director has almost wrapped a film with ‘Rogue’ fame hero Ishaan, but somehow the film is still said to be struggling in post-production labs.

KTR’s Sanyas Plans Fuel KCR’s Retirement

Share

TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s ’emotional outburst’ that if TRS loses elections, he would losing nothing personally but Telangana state will suffer seems to have backfired.

His statement that he would go back home, take rest and do farming if TRS loses, has set alarm bells ringing among TRS leaders and cadre.

His comments a day ahead of Sonia’s first visit to Telangana has sent a message that KCR fears Sonia and conceded defeat even before the elections. With this, KCR went on a damage control mode.

He took feedback from party’s senior leaders and key activists which indicated that his comments caused more damage to TRS than the Mahakutami’s collective campaigning.

KCR vowed not to make ‘retirement announcements’ in future election meetings and stick to his common utterance of TRS winning 100-plus seats hands down and projecting elections as fight between TRS and “Andhra” Chandrababu.

However, what prompted KCR to make such statement has become a subject of hot debate.

Fingers are pointed at his son KTR for making repeated statements in all meetings that he will take ‘sanyas’ if TRS loses.

TRS party sources say KCR too seemed to have affected KTR’s retirement plans, became emotional and uttered same words in the meetings held in erstwhile Adilabad disrict on Thursday.

Why is KCR so panicky about TDP-Cong pact?

Share

Telangana Telugu Desam Party on Friday wondered why Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and caretaker chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was so panicky, which was reflected in his repeated attacks on TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy pointed out that on September 6, when KCR dissolved the state assembly, he had said TDP had a mere 0.2 percent vote share in Telangana.

“Now KCR is devoting 50 percent of his speech time criticising Naidu and the TDP. It shows his panic reaction and frustration,” Reddy told a news agency. The TDP leader said KCR and his party leaders have been frequently targeting Naidu calling him an outsider and anti-Telangana leader who had created hurdles in the way of Telangana’s development.

He asserted it was under Naidu’s regime during the undivided Andhra Pradesh that the present-day Telangana capital Hyderabad developed exponentially and now accounted for 64 percent of the state’s income.TRS leaders, who often accuse Naidu of blocking irrigation schemes in the Telangana region as the chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh, warn people against voting for the opposition coalition, saying the TDP boss will call the shots if it is voted to power.

The TDP leader said despite its hugely depleted strength in the dissolved Assembly following a spate of defections, Reddy claimed the cadre was with the TDP.”We are confident of winning the 13 seats that we are contesting now,” he said. The chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh Naidu worked hard for the all-round development of Hyderabad, particularly in the information technology sector, Reddy said.

“Sixtyfour percent of Telangana’s income is from Hyderabad only. This (pro-development, pro-investment) atmosphere was created by Naidu,” he said.

Telangana CM’s race, aspirants list may touch 50

The mad race for CM’s post in Congress never ends. Congress has already become a subject of mockery for Opposition parties in the poll campaigning in Telangana over the issue of dozens of candidates vying for CM’s post if Mahakutami is elected to power in ensuing elections.

“40 CM candidates in Congress” is the main poll plank of TRS.

TRS leaders K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao has been saying in all the election meetings that if Congress comes to power, a CM will be changed every three months for five years to satisfy the power-hungry Congress leaders.Though TRS leaders might be exaggerating the numbers of CM aspirants, the Congress leaders admit that there are 15 ‘serious contenders’ and 10 ‘by-chance contenders’ for CM’s post.As this was not enough, the top women leaders in Telangana Congress have begun to throw their hat into the CM’s ring.

Congress senior women leader J Geetha Reddy, D K Aruna, Sabitha Indra Reddy are learnt to have started lobbying for CM’s post through All India Mahila Congress president Sushimita Dev.Recently Sushimita Dev gave a public statement saying that they will take up the issue of a woman being made Telangana CM with party president Rahul Gandhi.Women Congress leaders are planning to intensify their efforts by pursuing the case with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi when they visit Medchal on November 23 to address election meeting.

The followers of women leaders already started claiming that their leader will create history by becoming the first woman CM of Telangana in December.Looks, the list of CM aspirants in Congress would touch 50, which will be almost equal to the number of seats required to win the elections.

Vundavalli To Join YSRC Soon?

Share

Former Congress MP from Rajahmundry Vundavalli Arun Kumar will soon join the YSR Congress party headed by Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, if the reports doing rounds in the political circles and a section of media are to be believed.According to these reports, Jagan has sent some senior leaders as envoys to Vundavalli seeking his support to the YSRC in the wake of the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.

He also invited Vundavalli into the party, as he felt a senior leader like him having a lot of command over various subjects would bring tremendous mileage to the party. It is not exactly known whether Vundavalli gave any positive reply to Jagan, but sources close to him said he would take an appropriate decision shortly.

“May be, Vundavalli will join the YSRC provided he gets a concrete assurance on a prominent position in the party and a Lok Sabha seat in the coming elections,” the sources said.Ever since the combined state of Andhra Pradesh was divided to carve out Telangana, Vundavalli has been staying away from electoral politics.

He did not even contest the last Lok Sabha elections, but has been politically very active.

He has been attacking the Chandrababu Naidu government whenever there is any controversy over any issue including Polavaram project, Pattiseema scheme, irregularities in the construction of Amaravati, sand mafia etc.At the same time, Vundavalli has been constantly warning Jagan against being complacent and telling him to be wary of the shrewd politics of Naidu.

If Vundvalli really joins the YSRC, it will be a big trouble for Naidu, as being vocal and a powerful orator, he can effectively attack the TDP during the election meetings. It will be interesting to watch the former MP playing a big role in the opposition party.
