Nehru Throws Rs 10 cr Challenge To Jagan
The chief of YSR Congress Party, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday attracted the wrath of Jaggampeta MLA Jyothula Nehru, who switched his loyalties to TDP from YSRCP in 2016.The opposition leader of Andhra Pradesh reportedly attacked Nehru saying that he took huge moolah as bribe from Telugu Desham to switch sides.
Speaking to media on Monday, the senior political leader offered to give away all his assets and properties if Rs 10 Crores is given to him and challenged Jagan if is ready for it. ‘I will also be able to clear off my debts with that money,’ said Nehru while demanding Jagan Mohan Reddy to prove the false allegations made against him.
Furthermore, Nehru said that the opposition leader lacks political maturity and ‘he is unfit to be a politician’.
Telangana Bhavan in Bengaluru!
Very soon, Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka, will have a Telangana Bhavan for the local Telugus to have their get-togethers and celebrate their activities.The Karnataka government issued a directive for the establishment of the building and directed the revenue officials in Bengaluru to allocate an acre of land for establishing Telangana Bhavan and to prepare a detailed project report (DPR).
According to founder and president of Kannada Rajya Telangana Association Sundeep Kumar Makthala, chief minister HD Kumaraswamy had taken a favorable decision for the establishment of the building.Upon receiving the approval for the proposal, Karnataka State Chief Secretary sent a directive to south Bengaluru, north Bengaluru and Anekal Taluka Tehsildars to scout for a suitable one acre plot of land, prepare the DPR. Following this, officials have begun the process.
He said the people from Telangana were struggling to get a proper place to celebrate State festivals such as Bonalu and Bathukamma and to hold other programmes.“Telangana and Karnataka share cultural ties since the 9th century. The poet Pampana who was born in Bodhan of Telangana had earned a name for his poetical works in Kannada. In remembrance of him, the proposed building would be named Pampana Telangana Bhavan,” he said..
Telangana Bhavan was conceptualized to create a home-like environment in Bengaluru for all those hailing from Telangana, he said, adding that the building could also come to rescue to people who are new to Bengaluru and seeking temporary accommodation in the city.
The building would also have a library and a town hall besides other amenities. It would be created in a way that it would meet all the requirements of any large scale celebration that could be hosted at the venue during Bonalu, Bathukamma and Telangana State Formation Day.
Who Will Buy Rajinikanth’s 2.0?
The Telugu rights of Superstar Rajinikanth’s “2.0” are open for buyers again. Though the movie’s rights were snapped up by Asian Films for whopping Rs 90 Cr last year, the company is now backing out.Final decision has not been taken, but it is certain that they are in no mood to pay such huge amount for this film at this moment due to constant delays and postponements.
Sunil Narang of Asian Films paid Rs 20 Cr as advance to the producers of “2.0” last August as they thought the film would either release in Jan 2018 or April 2018.However, due to delay in graphics, the film has been pushed to November 2018. Subsequently, the hype on this film has subsided. Hence, Sunil Narang believes this movie is a bit risky.
He is negotiating to slash down the price of the movie. Though he agreed to pay Rs 90 Cr, he now wants the price to be cut. If the makers don’t agree, he will be taking his advance back and the movie will be open for buyers again.
Dil Raju and Tagore Madhu are planning to buy it if the makers agree to their rates.
Lagadapati Survey Getting Ready!
Former Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, who gained popularity as Andhra Octopus for his near accurate pre-election surveys, is getting ready for conducting a final survey on the possible outcome of the 2019 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.Lagadapati told media in Penukonda in Anantapur district that the survey was being done and the results would be declared just before the elections.
He, however, rejected the allegation that he was favouring a particular political party.“I have been away from politics and I will continue to be so. However, I will conduct the pre-elections and announce the results before elections,” he said.The former MP predicted that the demand for special category status is going to be a major issue in the next elections.
“People are now strongly believing that granting of special category status would bring industries and fetch employment. They are going to teach a fitting lesson to the Bharatiya Janata Party in the next elections, as they had done with the Congress in the last elections for bifurcating the state,” he said.Lagadapati’s pre-election surveys always generate a lot of curiosity among the political parties, because all his previous surveys were proved 90 per cent correct. So, his announcement will definitely cause tense moments in all the parties.
Very recently, Andhra Jyothy, promoted by journalist-turned-entrepreneur Vemuri Radhakrisha, came out with an election survey and claimed to have teamed up with Lagadapati, apparently to make the people believe that his survey is near accurate.
But Andhra Jyothy’s survey cannot expect to give a report against Telugu Desam Party and its president N Chandrababu Naidu. So, there was no surprise that it predicted 110 assembly seats for the TDP and 60 seats for the YSR Congress party, while Jana Sena Party will end up with the remaining five assembly seats.
The BJP and the Congress will draw blank in the state, it said.
Koratala to Go with NTR in 2019
Koratala Siva was to direct his next film for his friend and distributor Sudhakar Mikkilineni is now directing Megastar Chiranjeevi for Ram Charan’s Konidela Productions. Sudhakar has been Koratala’s financial strength and helped him in many ways.With Koratala directing film after film other banners, Sudhakar Mikkilineni got worried. At one time, he feared he may not get chance to produce with Koratala but now the top director cleared his apprehensions.
Koratala will be doing a film with NTR again. This will be produced Sudhakar. Koratala Siva’s next movie with Chiranjeevi will commence in December this year and it will be readied for Dussera 2019 release. In December 2019, he will be starting a film with NTR.Koratala has long association with NTR Jr as he wrote dialogues for some of his hit movies like “Brindavanam” and had directed “Janatha Garage”. He has already made two movies with Mahesh Babu and is now going to team up with NTR for second time.
With Koratala confirming his next two films, it is clear that he will not be directing Nani’s movie as media has been speculating.

Despite the fact the audiences have seen her already in three films, real stardom has engulfed dusky siren, Pooja Hegde, only after she donned that bikini acts in DJ Duvvada Jagannadham movie. Since then, she’s on a signing spree.
Before signing NTR’s Aravinda Sametha, Mahesh’s film with Vamsi Paidipally and another one with Prabhas, actually Pooja picked up Bellamkonda Srinivas movie too. Many thought that she was aboard “Saksyam” after getting tempted by the high remuneration offered to her.
Later it has come out that Pooja’s local manager and PR team which has heard the script of Saakshyam actually convinced her to take up the project saying that it will be a great film. Even the makers also claimed that their movie is like another big film in the making. And all those tall claims just bit dust after release.
Regarding the same, Pooja is said to have breathed fire on her team. She is said to have told them to pick only interesting scripts but not all the projects that come her way.
Second Shock To Mega Daughter
Mega girl Niharika has tasted one more debacle in form of Happy Wedding. Whilst her debut film Oka Manasu didn’t meet the high expectations, her second film Happy Wedding too failed to set the Box Office ablaze. Interestingly, the producers of both these films were safe and got into profits, but it is distributors who may suffer.
Yet, barring the financial aspects, critically, both these films would be declared as flops since they had failed to perform theatrically, which is the main business of a film.
Overall, it is a second shock to Mega Daughter Niharika in Telugu. Meantime, her Tamil debut too didn’t work. Better luck next time! Let’s hope she would break the jinx with her next.
