Watch T Congress Leader Hanumantha Rao Sensational Comments on CM KCR Govt Over Reservation Issue
Naidu Quick To Cash In On Kapu Unrest!
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is a shrewd politician who does not want to let go any opportunity that comes his way to gain political mileage on any issue.Realising that the statement made by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy washing off his hands on the Kapu reservations issue by throwing the blame on the Centre has caused a lot of unrest among the Kapu community, Naidu quickly sought to turn the situation in his advantage.
On Monday morning, Naidu held a teleconference with the party MPs and asked them to take up the Kapu reservations issue in Parliament and bring pressure on the Centre, along with the demand for special category status issue. He also did not fail to attack Jagan saying the latter had taken a U-turn on Kapu reservations issue. In Lok Sabha, TDP MP from Anakapalle Avanti Srinivas Rao raised the issue during the zero hour.
He pointed out that the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly had passed the Kapu reservation bill providing 5 per cent reservation for Kapu community in education and employment in the state.“The bill has been sent to the Centre to be included in the ninth Schedule of the Constitution by undertaking constitutional amendment. It has been pending with the Centre for the last nine months. I urge the centre to clear the Kapu reservation bill as early as possible,” he said.
Naidu also see a positive change in the attitude of former minister and Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham towards the TDP, after seeing Jagan’s volte face.Mudragada said he had complete faith in Naidu that he would bring reservations bill into implementation. May be, the TDP hopes to win over Mudragada before the elections!
PK Advised Jagan On Kapu Quota?
The statement made by YSR Congress party president and leader of opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the most contentious Kapu reservations issue has become a hot political issue across the state. It is learnt Jagan had made the statement in a calculated manner, after going through its pros and cons.He also chose Jaggampet, the Kapu dominated area, to make the statement, so as to give clarity on the factual position, rather than emotions and sentiments.
Sources said it was his political strategist Prashant Kishor who had advised Jagan to make his stand clear on Kapu reservations, stating that he did not want to make any promises on the issue which was not in his hands, but in the court of the Centre.“This will keep Jagan ahead of Naidu in terms of political integrity and conveys the message that he does not want to make false promises for the sake of electoral gains,” sources close to PK team said.
Another important reason that forced Jagan’s to make the statement, according to the PK team was that it would attract other Backward Classes closer to the YSRC.The BC leaders are angry with the TDP for deciding to provide five per cent reservations to Kapus, as they are vehemently opposing inclusion of Kapus into BC list.By throwing the ball into the Central court, Jagan can not only wash off his hands on Kapu quota issue, but also attract the OBCs, the PK team told Jagan.
That is precisely why he had made the statement in public.
Lawrence says he is ready to give a chance to Sri Reddy
Following the allegations raised by Telugu actress Sri Reddy over the issue of casting couch, actor Raghava Lawrence has now responded to the issue and slammed Sri Reddy for the same.Issuing a press statement, Lawrence has questioned Sri Reddy’s claims and asked why she didn’t raise the issue seven years back.
A Tamil entertainment website quoted him as saying, “Sri Reddy has said that she met me during the making of Telugu movie Rebel. It’s already been seven years since that movie. Why didn’t she report this all this while? She said that she came to my hotel room and I abused her. She also stated that she saw Gods’ photos and rudraksha mala in my room. I am not a fool to keep rudraksha mala at hotels and do pooja.”
He said that he pities her and is willing to offer her a chance in his film, “We will do one thing: I will keep a press meet. In front of the people, I will give you a character and scene to enact and give you some dance steps to dance. That doesn’t mean I will give you difficult steps like I do. I will give you simple steps and dialogues – just the basic qualities an actor should have.”
He added, “As a director, if I really feel you have the talent, I will sign a good character for you in my next movie and give you an advance. If you act in my movie, maybe you will get more chances and you might feel better; or if you feel bad acting in front of everyone, then contact my manager, bring your lawyer, and well-wishers with you and show your acting skills to me, and I will help you. This reply is not because I got scared; it is because I respect women a lot. That’s why I have built a temple for my mother and dedicated it to all women. Let’s talk about good things and do good things. I pray for your good life.”
Sri Reddy has been accusing several Tamil actors and directors of extracting sexual favours from her on the pretext of giving her work.
BJP Gives Up On AP Completely?
Is the final self-goal by the BJP that will decimate the Party in Andhra Pradesh completely in 2019?The saffron Party filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court this time stating that a railway zone to Vizag cannot be sanctioned as it is not financially viable.Earlier, the BJP had denied a railway zone on the grounds that Odisha government was objecting to it but the Odisha government immediately gave a clarification saying it had no objection to a railway zone at Vizag.
The State BJP leaders are stunned, especially Vizag MP, K Hari Babu. Apparently, the impression was given to AP BJP leaders that the Centre following vehement criticism was on the verge of conceding the railway zone. The leaders were hopeful of an announcement in Parliament in this regard and had made elaborate plans to go to Delhi and swamp the Central leadership with praise.
Now, they have been caught completely off guard with this affidavit filed in the Supreme Court by the Centre. As for Hari Babu who won on the strength of the Modi wave last time in Vizag, it is an uphill task for him to win the confidence of the people of Vizag again.
Opinion: The Goat Always Trusts The Butcher
For saying that reservation to Kapu community comes under the purview of the Centre, Mudragada Padmanabham came down heavily on YS Jagan.“Why can’t you fight with the Centre for reservation to Kapus along with SCS, railway zone and steel plant issues,” questioned Mudragada and added, “Why should Kapus vote for you when you cannot promise them reservation?”
Kapus may be the largest community in the State but that does not mean that a leader like YS Jagan or Chandrababu Naidu will fight with the Centre for their cause. No preferential treatment can be given to one particular community alone.Besides, how can Mudragada equate Kapu reservation with SCS? This shows his immaturity. If Kapu youth feel that they should not vote for YS Jagan because he has not promised reservations to them, then they should go and vote for Chandrababu Naidu again.
Either way, Jagan will stand to lose nothing as the Kapus did not vote for him anyway in the last election, yet he got 47 percent votes. Or better still, Mudragada should align with Pawan Kalyan, his fellow-caste member.Pawan Kalyan will be CM and Mudragada, the Home Minister and Kapus can get reservation on a par with SC/STs, why just BC status?
The problem with people like Mudragada is that they will not be satisfied even if reservation is given to them. Tomorrow, it will be something else. And this is primarily the reason that Andhras can never stay united. They put their caste ahead of the region’s interests.
YS Jagan: A Class Apart
In this day and age when politicians resort to all and any kind of gimmicks to come to power, YS Jagan stands poles apart from his counterparts.Look at Pawan Kalyan for instance. The gentleman said he was entering politics only to question and not for money, power or position. But recently, he was lamenting that Chandrababu had cheated him by not sending him to the Rajya Sabha as promised.
While campaigning for Praja Rajyam, he said he would quit politics if Praja Rajyam lost the elections but is here today with a rebooted version of the Party. As for Chandrababu Naidu, the lesser said, the better. He is merely a politician who would do anything to stay in power and is not a leader though of course, his community will consider him to be one.
But YS Jagan has repeatedly proved that he is not the sort of person who will resort to opportunism to gain power. In 2014, had he also promised the ‘impossible’ loan waiver to farmers, he would perhaps have become the Chief Minister. With all his experience, did Chandrababu not know that it is not feasible? He certainly did but then coming to power has been the only objective characteristic of his life.
Is this not the same person who said he would contest against NT Rama Rao when he was in the Congress? Later, he switched to the TDP, took over the Party and realised his ambition.Similarly, he promised reservations to the Kapus and a host of other weaker sections despite knowing that the Constitution will not permit it.And now, Kapus constitute the majority of the population and their votes are extremely important for forming the government. But what does Jagan do?
Jagan speaks the truth and promises to work for the welfare of the community but frankly states that reservation is not possible as per regulations.Although he lost the previous election for not making false promises, the defeat has not affected his principles. He still refuses to resort to opportunism for gaining power.
And that’s why, he is a leader, a class apart and in a league of his own.
Bigg Boss 2 Gets Spicier At The Halfway Mark
Bigg Boss season 2 that opened on a very ordinary note turned interesting after a couple of weeks. Tejaswi’s gang bullying weaker contestants made audience take the side of underdogs. As a result, strong contestants like Tejaswi and Bhanusri were eliminated early from the show. Bigg Boss tried to bring them back through reentry, but public made sure that they don’t come back again.
Nutan Naidu and Shyamala won the reentry poll and will be stepping into the house again on Monday evening or Tuesday. The season reached the halfway mark on Sunday (50 days) and things are getting spicier now as three people in the house including last week’s wild card entry Pooja Ramachandran has clear understanding of the happenings outside.
They know the public pulse and who has the support of viewers. Most of the weaker contestants in the house (Nandini, Deepthi Nallamothu, Sunaina, Roll Rida, Ganesh) are clueless and blindly supporting strong ‘celebrity’ contestants (Tanish, Samrat, Babu Gogineni) to extend their stay in the show. But the reentry of Nutan Naidu and Shyamala will change the game’s perspective altogether.
Babu Gogineni’s ego issues and Tanish’s attitude have already put them in the danger zone. They are sure to get evicted if they are into nominations at this point. Also there is a chance of double elimination this week as there wasn’t any elimination last week.
How should one rate the TDP’s performance?
How should one judge a political party that is in power? Simple! You compare the performance of the party against the promises it made in its election manifesto. Now, it would be unfair to expect every single promise to be fulfilled completely but at least the major ones should be.
In the case of the Telugu Desam Party, what were the promises made by them in 2014 and have they delivered? But there’s a problem for those who wish to check out the 2014 TDP manifesto on the Party’s website as it has been taken down.A foolish thing really because does the TDP think that their manifesto will not be available elsewhere? Besides, why remove the manifesto? Have they not fulfilled any of their promises?
Even then, they have the media capability to convince the people that all promises have been fulfilled. But forget about the past, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has come out with a slew of fresh promises at Ongole recently and here they are:
Laying the foundation for Ramayapatnam Port by the end of the year
Completing the first tunnel of Veligondi project by Sankranthi and the second tunnel in the next one year
Linking the rivers Godavari, Krishna, Vamsadhara, Penna and Nagavali
Establishing a food processing unit in Prakasam district
Constructing a steel plant at Kadapa if Centre exempts taxes for 10 years
Establishing a horticulture college and veterinary college at Kandukur
Bring industries to industrial corridor and NIMZ at Kanigiri
It is better to note these promises down as they may soon not be available anywhere on TDP websites.

Senior Priyanka Envious of Sexy Patani
Here’s one girl who won’t be missing Priyanka Chopra in Salman Khan’s upcoming film. Disha Patani, who is also cast in ‘Bharat’ in a significant role, has already begun prepping for the Ali Abbas Zafar-directed film.Just a couple of days before Chopra walked out of the film at the nth hour – she is rumoured to have cited her engagement to American singer Nick Jonas as an excuse — talk of competitiveness between the two actors was already doing the rounds.
One on hand we heard that Chopra wasn’t too happy that Patani was made to wear minis and would look younger, and on the other, reports emerged about the senior heroine refusing to share publicity posters with Patani.
But now we hear the director is rather impressed with Patani’s work and is planning to rewrite her character and give her a meatier role.
So, all is well that’s ends well, for Patani at least.
Telugu Miss India’s Family Unhappy With Romance
It takes guts to talk about the reality and some girls just nail it. For that reason, some hotties like Arjun Reddy fame “Shalini Pandey” have shot to immense fame after talking about their family’s stand quite honestly.
Here comes Telugu Miss India Shobita Dhulipala, who has carved a name for herself for the kind of hot photoshoots she came up with. After a long wait, she’s finally debuting in Tollywood with Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari and her smooching scenes in the trailer became talk of the town too.
When quizzed about how her family reacted about those romantic intimate scenes, Shobita made a stunning comment. “My parents got accustomed to the acting and modeling thing after some point time, but there was so much rejection from others in the family. My relatives are behaving as if they don’t know about my film’s coming. I am ready to face anyone who wants to bring me down, anyway” said Shobita.
That is a fighter like attitude by the Miss India girl who was born in Tenali and lived in Vizag till she finished her 12th standard before moving to Mumbai. After Goodachari she has films with lined up with Emran Hashmi in Bollywood and Nivin Pauly in Malayalam.
Vijay Devarakonda Changed A Lot!
Earlier he was showered with appreciations like “What an actor!!”. Then there are compliments like “What a soul” for the way he auctioned his Filmfare for charity and got buttermilk vans running in summer. Yes, we’re talking about Vijay Devarkonda only.
Even Allu Arvind appreciated Vijay Devarkonda way he cashed upon trolling over ‘What the F’ song controversy. Vijay asked the detractors of his singing to sing this song such that their voice could be featured inside the film. And he showed another aspect of him by doing some things at “Geetha Govindam” pre-release event.
Visibly animated Vijay claimed that he has changed a lot and informed all that he got calls from the likes of his parents, director Parsuram and Allu Arvind to not speak anything crazy at the event. But he stated that he will take blessings of all the elders and touched the feet of Allu Arvind, Parasuram and Allu Arjun as well. That sounded pretty crazy because a young hero who got such immense stardom at a young age.
Anyway, fans are looking at this as another crazy act of the rocking star.
Allu Arjun Disturbed By Arjun Reddy’s Acts
One of the stunning films that made a powerful impact last year is none other than Arjun Reddy. Featuring Vijay Devarakonda in the title role and directed by Sandeep Vanga, the film acquired cult following and mindblowing reception.
It looks like even Stylish Star Allu Arjun has felt the vibes of this film. “Last year after watching Arjun Reddy, it took me almost a week to recover. When my people asked me about films, I told them, ‘what films? what type of films?’ and kept quiet for a time. That’s the impact Arjun Reddy created on me” said Allu Arjun, speaking at Vijay Devarkonda and Rashmika Mandana starrer Geetha Govindam pre-release event.
As the film is produced by Bunny’s muse Bunny Vas, the star hero attended the event. And he revealed that he was bowled out by Vijay Devarkonda’s acts in that movie. “After watching Vijay’s top notch performance, I felt like he should get Best Actor Filmfare trophy. Though there are a couple of other good performances last year from other actors, I felt that Vijay should walk away with the trophy. And he did it” Allu Arjun added.
Talking about Geetha Govindam, he confirmed that already he has watched the movie and it is a pretty good film. “Actually the movie deals with heroine’s story and Rashmika nailed it. Though hero doesn’t have space inside it, Vijay grabbed the opportunity and made it his film too. He’s simply stunning” Bunny said while wishing good luck to the makers.
