Trailer Talk: Sanjay Dutt’s Unbelievable Life On Screen
Finally, talented director Rajkumar Hirani has unveiled the trailer of his most awaited film “Sanju”, which happens to be the biography of senior hero Sanjay Dutt as told by him.
You call Sanjay Dutt a star, a drug addict and a womaniser who slept with 350 ladies including prostitutes, but he claims that he is not a terrorist. Despite the fact that Sanjay Dutt carried (actually accused of helping to bring AK 56 like rifles during 1993 serial blasts in Bombay) weapons illegally, one wonders the point he’s about to make through this film “Sanju”. And what, the trailer has got blockbuster written all over it with each scene and frame either making you laugh, think or turn emotional.
Raj Kumar Hirani crafted yet another brilliant output, this time the unbelievable life of an actor on silver screen, with the support of a top-notch performer like Ranbir Kapoor who has delivered another career best knock. Supported by other talented actors like Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal and Sonam Kapoor as well, “Sanju” packed a total punch. Coupled with Ravi Varman’s visuals and soul stirring background score, the trailer just lifted spirits before reaching a new level.
Especially the scenes where Ranbir aka Sanjay Dutt is treated badly in jail and also his encounter with Sonam Kapoor for a mangalsutra inside a toilet is going to haunt you for a couple of hours. The film will be in cinemas from June 29th, 2018.
Talk: Villain, Comedian Dominates Hero!
Picking right posters and cutting right teasers are the quintessential stuff to make sure that the footfalls for that film will be high. And misleading posters along with masala packed teasers are failing to create magic these days.
In the recent times, Ammaammagari Illu is one good film that touched some good points, though the film looks like a replica of Satamanam Bhavati on a whole. But to see Naga Shourya sizzling on all the posters and rocking in all the teasers has given a different colour about the film. And people who expected Shourya to do all the business has got disappointed post the screening.
Actually, the likes of Rao Ramesh and Shakala Shankar has taken the film on their shoulders in some sequences. While Rao Ramesh outshined everyone when it comes to delivering emotional lines, Shankar made sure that second half will not bite the dust as he is present. His comedy timing and comedy are pretty awesome. So adding Rao Ramesh to the teasers would have worked well for the film, rather just keeping Shourya and Shalini’s shots all over.
Ammaammagari Illu may not be a great film, but the film will not die at the box office had the movie’s crew planned everything well in advance. Right promotions and right reactions would have helped the movie to create some records.
Is He The Secret Weapon Of ‘Third Front’?
Ever since the Opposition parties have all gathered on dais at Kumaraswamy’s swearing-in ceremony, there has been a great noise about the formation of anti-BJP, a Secular Front to defeat Narendra Modi in 2019. Although Congress has been sending strong signals to join the front and wants to project Rahul Gandhi as the PM face, it is not getting support from several regional parties.
None other than Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP, which is playing crucial role in the front, openly stated that it is against to support Rahul as PM candidate and Naidu even ruled out of being in PM fray personally. Also, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee seems to have her apprehensions over naming Rahul as PM candidate. Amidst this, the hunt for a strong face to take on Narendra Modi is the need of the hour for the anti-Modi front.
That’s when former President and Congress senior leader Pranab Mukherjee’s name cropped up. While Pranab is not just a big name with vast experience, his West Bengal roots may impress Mamata Banerjee and Congress too may not finally say no since Pranab hails from Congress and has always revered as ‘loyalist’ to Gandhi family since he got his first break from Indira Gandhi when she made him Rajya Sabha MP in 1969 and later made him minister in her cabinet in 1973.
On the other hand, Pranab too has a strong desire to become the PM personally. He had expressed his interest to become PM openly in the past on several occasions. While he had been expecting to become PM, situations somehow didn’t favour him. Manmohan Singh was given the opportunity and Pranab had to settle with Finance Minister. Yet Pranab was seen as ‘No. 2’ in Manmohan’s government until he became India’s 13th President in 2012.
Now, talks have it that Pranab’s name as the face for alternative front is strongly considered. It is also speculated that Pranab is also directly in touch with the leaders of the Front and is constantly monitoring the situations.
Speculations are rife that Pranab had played role behind Mamata and KCR’s meet. It is also said Pranab had conducted talks with BJD chief and Orissa CM Naveen Patnaik. Meanwhile, Pranab also maintains close relation with ex PM and JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda along with BJP’s senior leader LK Advani.
Since there is a huge anti-Modi wave riding across the nation, the chances are high for Pranab to take on Modi with the support of all regional parties.

Chandrababu on Castes, Pawan Kalyan & Jagan!
In his crucial valedictory speech at the closing ceremony of Mahanadu, party supremo and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu spoke about significant topics varying from caste disparities to present political situation in the state to 2019 polls to the future of the state. Below are takeaways from Naidu’s energetic speech to party cadre.
A caste or a community or a religion or a region is not our priority. The State is our priority. Andhra Pradesh is my only priority. Political parties who wants to divide basis on caste, creed, religion or region won’t benefit any one. If anyone wants to gain political mileage out of caste/religion/region, the society will suffer. It’s high time we should raise awareness among people against castes/religions.
In 2019, people will teach a strong lesson to BJP and its allies parties (refers to Janasena and YSRCP). They are going to get sleepless nights. Pawan has repeatedly claiming that TDP had won because of him. There is no truth in it. Only after we quit NDA and separated from BJP, Pawan started attacking us. People are watching all this. There is a big conspiracy hatched from Delhi and they (Pawan, Jagan) are its players.
In the last 4 years, regional parties have become stronger. National parties have become weaker. BJP has lost its sheen and it cannot win in 2019. Modi has cheated people of the country. He betrayed Andhra Pradesh. Major changes are going to come in national politics soon and TDP is going to lead them. TDP will decide the next Prime Minister of the country.
Even to build a house, it takes 3 to 4 years. When I’m building a state from scratch, instead of supporting, many are creating hurdles and hatching conspiracies against us. We (TDP) will retaliate all those. You are questioning me (Chandrababu), I’m fine with it, but what about your (Janasena and YSRCP) understanding with BJP?
Youth is going to play a large role in TDP in coming days. I’m once again giving call to youth to come in large sections and work for TDP which focuses only on state development and your development.
ANR Biopic Isn’t Interesting – Nag
It’s a season of biopics. After the biopic of Savitri, Mahanati, became a blockbuster and NTR biopic to be helmed by Krish Jagarlamudi, all eyes are set on ANR’s biopic.
Responding to a question on whether Nag would be fine with a biopic on his dad and iconic actor, Nag said, “No one has approached me yet. But I have my own doubts whether it will be interesting to people as there are no lows in dad’s career. It’s simple and plain through out. He led a very beautiful life and till his graceful death, he had acted in films. He acted with his children, grand children in Manam. It’s a complete life. May be a book on him would be appropriate.”
Nag has a point to say as ANR hadn’t embroiled in any major controversies. Nag also admits of having a strong connection to the date May 23. “I have not revealed to anyone before that dad (ANR) had first entered the industry on May 23rd. He had traveled from Vijayawada to Chennai on May 22nd night and reached Chennai on 23rd. So, he entered films on May 23rd. Interestingly, his last film Manam too released on May 23rd. Akhil’s debut on celluloid as an adult is Manam that released on May 23rd. My debut film Vikram was also released on May 23. These things force us to believe on dates.”
Nag said he is right now enjoying his phase of life and has too many films in pipeline. He says he has no fear of failure at this juncture of career and is going by his heart while choosing his scripts.
Admitting that Officer has no new Story, he said that the conflict point is how a police officer is appointed against a corrupt police officer. He said RGV has done good job and ‘sound’ is where he excelled and it stands out.
#NTR Casting: Krish Has Different Plans
In the last few months, we heard a lot about #NTR and the biopic finally got new hands lifting its spirt up. After Teja’s exit, everyone is waiting for the right person to take up, and Balayya’s decision to go ahead with Krish is a stupendous move.
Until Krish came on board, every day there are rumours that Balakrishna is searching for star heroines to play the roles of Sridevi, Jayaprada and other heroines in this periodic drama. As Balayya plays legendary NTR, the makers would have felt that bringing star heroines would bring right colour for the project.
A highly placed source revealed that Krish has convinced Balayya to not go after stars for any role. The director feels that #NTR, the title, itself is a crowd puller and there is no need to overstuff the project with big faces. And also he felt that adding such faces increase unwanted expectations on those roles.
It looks like the recent success of Mahanati, where only relatively not-so-popular faces played some crucial characters to enact Savitri’s life on silver screen. Going by the reports, Krish will now scout and find actors to the need of character rather than roping some big stars.
CEO Dilemma For Pawan Kalyan’s TV Channel
Needless to say, some hot shot Telugu news channels like TV9, ABN and NTV got popular due to their CEOs too. While some of them are former journalists who are even hosting some highly successful chat shows, some of the CEOs just run the show from the background. But they are quite popular and efficient too.
Recently news has come out that a new TV channel named JTV will be rolled out soon, and this media house is likely to support Pawan Kalyan and his Janasena party. What has become a big problem for this TV channel is that, as the channel is being funded by a group of businessmen, they are actually unclear about the person they should offer the CEO post.
Though some top most journalist-cum-anchors coming from the top Telugu channels are offered lucrative salaries with designations like ‘Editor’ ‘Creative Editor’ and others, it’s heard that many are asking for a share in the channel and CEO post too. This has stunned the investors of JTV because they never expected that CEO position will be that fancying among media folks.
Reports are coming that a decision will be taken on this CEO post and how the channel is going to perform once Pawan Kalyan comes back to Hyderabad after his Porata Yaatra. But huge time is being wasted in this process, isn’t it?

She is a non-local but has become quite big in Telugu in less time and even bagged great following. While she was linked with her co-stars and other actors in the film industry in the past, what is shocking is her proximity with a top politician.
Apparently, the star heroine is seeing a top politician from a while and even political circuits are abuzz with it. However, the news about her affair with the politician has spread to only very recently when a few in the know spilled the beans.
Both are said to be having a great time and is enjoying each other’s company. Interestingly, both are very much aware that the bond won’t last long and it is just a temporary affair, the duo is said to be enjoying well.
Pawan’s Mega Confusion on Constituency Continues!
With general elections are fast approaching and just short of a year, Pawan’s ‘mega’ confusion on his constituency leaves his fans and party leaders worried. Although initially, Pawan had initially declared that he would contest from Anantapur, he later seems to have changed his mind owing to the ground reports that ruling party is much stronger in Anantapur district. Apparently, this seems to have forced him to rethink on his constituency and change his mind.
Rumours are abuzz that Kalyan would contest from Srikakulam and a section of his party leaders are also vouching for his contest from the district given that his only and only ‘achievement’ is the raising issue of Uddanam Kidney problem. His one-day fast and his wide campaign in the district under Porata Yatra also adding to strong rumours that he would contest from Srikakulam.
Meanwhile, speculations are also rife that the actor-turned-politician who belongs to Kapu community may opt from a safe constituency in East Godavari district where his community strength is high. And there is the much debated topic of Pawan contesting from his native place Palakollu where earlier his brother Chiranjeevi had contested in 2009 and lost to Congress candidate Usha Rani. Considering the bad experience from the past and also the fact that sitting MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu is very strong locally, Pawan’s close aides are cautioning him to stay away from Palacole (Palakollu). And there is also talk about Pawan contesting from Tirupati where Chiru had won earlier with great difficulty in a triangular fight.
Wherever the place he is visiting, Pawan declaring his love towards every place and is trying to strike an emotional chord with locals is now seen as his strategy. But considering the ground reality in politics, leaders should have their own constituency, either native place or an adopted one with strong hold.
Apart from all the above, the most vital and crucial aspect is one will expect huge majority from Pawan Kalyan when he himself is contesting for the first time in direct elections after working/thinking for so long. However, the prevailing situation raises doubts on possibilities for Pawan. Let alone other constituencies where no candidate is chosen by Pawan to contest, its high time for Pawan to at least decide on the constituency/constituencies that he would contest.
Given the situation, it is widely buzzed that Pawan would contest from 2 seats as a safe game. Let’s wait and see.
#FitnessChallenge: Heroine Wipes Floor
With the heroine status, definitely comes certain luxuries. At least, they will be in a position to afford a full-time maid for their houses. And one heroine has now stunned by taking up that maid’s job.
‘Gundejari Gallantayyinde’ fame heroine Isha Talwar hasn’t succeeded well in Telugu films but she’s busy with Malayalam movies all the time. Like all other hot celebs out there, she too accepted the #FitnessChallenge that was originally initiated by Union Sports Minister Rajvarthan Rathore. Guess what, our heroine was not challenged by anyone, but she has done that on her own.
“I took the #HumFitTohIndiaFit challenge quite seriously and set the ground for functional training at home though nobody challenged me,” says Isha, as she shared the video of herself wiping the floor. Well, many would have done that during their younger age, but not after they have become a starlet. Still, Isha showcased the difference.
Probably the #FitnessChallenge has taken a new dimension with this move of Isha Talwar as nobody has shown domestic chores as their secret ingredient behind fitness. Let’s see if any other starlet will do the same now.
Mudragada’s Letter: Same Old Script on Naidu
Whenever Mudragada Padmanabham speaks out in media, he would talk very little on the substance and stress more on his verbal attack on CM Chandrababu Naidu. The retired politician and Kapu neta Mudragada has shot off a fresh letter to Chandrababu where he accused him of pitting Kapu community leaders from TDP against him. He alleged Naidu of acting smart and wise by pitting leaders from same caste against one another and dividing people.
Citing examples like IYR Krishna Rao, Ramana Deekshitulu instances, Mudragada had accused the TDP chief of instigating Brahmin leaders from TDP against them. He even said how a Dalit MLA had to face the ire of Dalit leaders of his party when he had raised the involvement of a few party people in his constituency. He went on and on about the caste division issues.
Lacking major substance, Mudragada’s letter primarily targeted at Naidu has an endless such accusations, allegations. Alleging that Naidu has some ‘disease’ to provoke leaders of same community against his detractors, he advised Naidu to get it treated by national-level doctors or international-level doctors.
Talking about the recent TTD issue, Mudragada demanded Chandrababu Naidu to seek CBI probe into the assets of TTD. Mudragada, the former Congress and TDP leader, demanded Naidu to ask Modi and sought a CBI probe in the properties of TTD.
One is wondering what is the point that Mudragada is trying to make as he is often repeating the same old script on Naidu.
