In a move that directly affects all the banking transactions in India including salaries crediting, withdrawal and ATM transactions, over 10 lakh bankers in the government and private sectors are gearing up for a two-day strike beginning on May 30, 2018. This is after the talks between Bank Employees’ Unions and Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) have failed over the wage revision.

Going into details, employees’ unions say that the wage revision has been due since Nov 1, 2017. While the IBA has come forward to give 2 percent hike in the wages of employees, the the Bank Employees’ Unions have rejected the 2 percent salary hike offer made by IBA and called for 2-day strike.

The strike is spearheaded by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), an umbrella body of nine unions. This is likely to affect the people a lot given that it was announced in the end of month where salaries of various employees and payments of various businesses would be made.

With general elections are fast approaching and just short of a year, Pawan’s ‘mega’ confusion on his constituency leaves his fans and party leaders worried. Although initially, Pawan had initially declared that he would contest from Anantapur, he later seems to have changed his mind owing to the ground reports that ruling party is much stronger in Anantapur district. Apparently, this seems to have forced him to rethink on his constituency and change his mind.

Rumours are abuzz that Kalyan would contest from Srikakulam and a section of his party leaders are also vouching for his contest from the district given that his only and only ‘achievement’ is the raising issue of Uddanam Kidney problem. His one-day fast and his wide campaign in the district under Porata Yatra also adding to strong rumours that he would contest from Srikakulam.

Meanwhile, speculations are also rife that the actor-turned-politician who belongs to Kapu community may opt from a safe constituency in East Godavari district where his community strength is high. And there is the much debated topic of Pawan contesting from his native place Palakollu where earlier his brother Chiranjeevi had contested in 2009 and lost to Congress candidate Usha Rani. Considering the bad experience from the past and also the fact that sitting MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu is very strong locally, Pawan’s close aides are cautioning him to stay away from Palacole (Palakollu). And there is also talk about Pawan contesting from Tirupati where Chiru had won earlier with great difficulty in a triangular fight.

Wherever the place he is visiting, Pawan declaring his love towards every place and is trying to strike an emotional chord with locals is now seen as his strategy. But considering the ground reality in politics, leaders should have their own constituency, either native place or an adopted one with strong hold.

Apart from all the above, the most vital and crucial aspect is one will expect huge majority from Pawan Kalyan when he himself is contesting for the first time in direct elections after working/thinking for so long. However, the prevailing situation raises doubts on possibilities for Pawan. Let alone other constituencies where no candidate is chosen by Pawan to contest, its high time for Pawan to at least decide on the constituency/constituencies that he would contest.

Given the situation, it is widely buzzed that Pawan would contest from 2 seats as a safe game. Let’s wait and see.

Telugudesam MP JC Diwakar Reddy made sure that his strong rhetoric at the ongoing “Mahanadu” will be quite different from what others do. While pledging his love for AP CM Chandrababu, he made sure that his honest talk will stand tall. Have a look at some of the salvo fired by him at the Telugudesam party event.

PM Chandrababu Naidu

“Sir, it’s enough!! You’ve served almost 15 years as Chief Minister of state. The country needs you. Go there and become a Prime Minister” said JC Diwakar Reddy, splitting everyone on the stage into awe. He added, “BJP government is not playing a constructive role and they need you to set things right. Make your son Lokesh as Chief Minister and leave”.

Also, JC joked that Chandrababu is a very strict Chief Minister who works round the clock and holds a teleconference with every government official. He said that even local MLAs and MPs don’t get the time of bureaucrats because they are always busy in a teleconference with CM.

“Lokesh has all the right to become Chief Minister of state. When there is a huge crisis within the family, he (Naidu) took things into hands and set everything right. He has built a party with his hard work and sacrifice. What’s wrong with giving the baton and passing the legacy to his son Lokesh? Yes, Lokesh should become CM” Diwakar Reddy said.

He also gave an example: “There are rich MPs like Jayadev here. Tomorrow he gives the whole of his firms and money to his son only. I gave my total assets to my son Pawan. So there is no wrong in giving TDP’s steering wheel to Lokesh”

Imminent Divorce With BJP

“I’ve gone to Delhi along with Naidu to meet Narendra Modi. He offered tea but spoke nothing about AP’s Special Status. Then only I’ve understood that he will give nothing and warned Naidu that this relationship with BJP will end up in a divorce” he said.

JC also added that Chandrababu has played cool guy all the time because BJP is in power and state should not miss any benefit from Centre with TDP breaking ties with the ruling party.

Chandrababu’s Corruption

“Jagan accuses that Chandrababu came up with 2 acres and today his son has 3000 crores Heritage. So, what do YSR’s father and Jagan’s grandpa Raja Reddy has? He too has the same two acres. And today everyone knows how much Jagan amassed” he quipped, making a stark attack against Jagan’s recent comments.

He also added: “Chandrababu has no need to earn money through projects and give it to his son. Heritage is giving his son 3000 crores and tomorrow it might give 15000 crores. If there is any fraud happened in Polavaram then our guy Kiran (ex-CM Kiran Kumar Reddy) did the mistakes, after failing bait for some amyamya!! (read bribes)”.

Power star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who frequently used to talk about Anantapur in Rayalaseema and its backwardness till recently, seems to have developed more affinity towards Srikakulam district of late.For the last one week, he has been touring extensively in all parts of Srikakulam, so much so that he has finally decided to contest the assembly elections from the district.

The party sources say he might contest the elections from Ichapuram constituency, which has shown tremendous response to his tour.Till the other day, Pawan was talking about his Anantapur. He even declared that he would contest from Anantapur so that he could represent the problems of the district in Assembly.

But those days, he was not evincing interest in coming to power and the CM post. But now that he declared that Jana Sena would contest all the seats in 2019 and come to power, he has changed his mind on choosing his constituency.Apparently, Pawan was so much fascinated by Srikakulam, especially after seeing the response he has got on the Uddanam kidney patients issue. He described Uddanam area as another Konaseema with picturesque land scape.

He alleged that Srikakulam district has always been in the grip of a handful of families and added that sand mafia was looting the district to a tune of several crores every month.

Slamming Naidu, he asked Chandrababu as to why he was ignoring the development of north coastal Andhra and was according importance only to Amaravati.He called upon the people to question both the BJP and the TDP leaders on the issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh.
