Gemini Ganesan’s daughter from his first wife Alamelu and well-known gynecologist, Kamala Selvaraj, has breathed fire on the makers of Mahanati. Kamala alleged that the makers of Mahanati have shown her father Gemini Ganesan in bad light. Responding on the scenes where Gemini is seen introducing alcohol to Savitri in the film, Kamala took serious offence to it and alleged that it is not her dad who habituated Savitri to alcohol.

She further alleged that her dad Gemini was shown as a lazy person which is not true. She said her father Gemini Ganesan was a top star alongside MGR, Sivaji Ganesan.

Kamala also denied the claims that no one in industry had come to the rescue of Savitri during her lull phase. She said her dad Gemini Ganesan had went to meet Savitri at her house when she was busy with the works of Praptam movie but her dad had faced bad experience. Kamala said her dad was forcibly sent out by Savitri’s watchman. Kamala said she was also there accompanying her father then. Since then, her dad (Gemini) never tried to contact Savitri again.

Going by the trailer of Na Nuvve, we’ve to say that Kalyan Ram did this film as if this is the second project of his career. With suave looks and quiet dialogue delivery, he has simply stunned everyone. At the same time, known for her exaggerating dramatic performances, Tamanna also delivered a cool performance, sticking to the author backed writing. It’s tough to imagine her in such role after looking at her loud silver screen acts coupled with item numbers.

Looks like both Tamanna and Kalyan Ram reinvented their ways to come up with subtle yet intense performance and stupendous emotions. Let’s see how far director Jayendra has explored the best of them for “Na Nuvve”.

Mahesh Achanta, the actor who shot to fame with his character as Ram Charan’s close aide in Rangasthalam was seen again in Mahanati in the role of Satyam who cheats Mahanati Savitri in later stage of her life. The character Satyam was shown as a person who joined as a servant in Savitri-Gemini Ganeshan’s house and later betrayed the actress financially taking a bank check from her  at the onset of her downfall. In later scenes, he appears in Gorintaku sets, where Mahanati looks at him but he turns his face away from her and leaves the place out of embarrassment.

Now the point of discussion is, who that Satyam was? Where is he now? Is this character real or fictitious?

While some opined that he is none other than a top producer who is known to many others said that he was a financier in later life but not producer. When we tried to meet some experts who has command on the life history of Savitri, they said, “The makers have taken many liberties in the film. It was so happened that many people betrayed her. But no name was recorded in history for two reasons- 1. The betrayers couldn’t become celebrities later 2. No legal evidences to name them as betrayers. So, the character of Satyam was fictional but he represents the actual happening in Savitri’s life”.

To sum up, the curtains can now be downed on the speculations about the real life character of the role played by Mahesh Achanta.

His fall in his career and media’s allegations attributing his downfall to a top family, his marriage with a girl outside film industry, his unknown family life and finally his death by hanging will be a roller coaster experience for audience. There is enough that pinches hearts, make people cry and go emotional with his story.

But how far the makers can take the risk of touching that controversial element? That’s a big question.

If the makers can attempt this film without chopping off those episodes from the film, the reality will be known to the public. It can be an opportunity for the big family to correct its image but rubbing off that black spot. But who can handle all this? Yes, Teja can.
