Aravinda Sametha Makes It to 7th Place in US
The much-anticipated Aravinda Sametha has hit the screens. While there was huge pre-release hype as Trivikram and NTR were coming together for the first time, there were doubts about the how film would do as the film had pretty average music.
Also, thanks to Agnyaathavaasi, the audience were keen to see how Trivikram will handle a film on factionism, a theme that is not exactly relevant these days.
However, following the US premier, it was pretty clear that the US audience took to the film in a big way.
Right now, the film is in the seventh place in the US Top Ten Premiers.
Almost all the top heroes, Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh, Prabhas, Ram Charan are in the top list, barring Allu Arjun, who hasn’t opened his account in the US as yet.

“On the third day I’ve come out of “Big Boss” house, I’ve got a call from Prime Minister’s Office congratulating me for Big Boss win. Actually, my father picked up the call as I’m away for shooting” said Kaushal, during his interaction with a leading news channel. And that has set a series of other unbelievable revelations from the #BigBoss2 winner.
“Kaushal” revealed that he got a call from Guinness Book Of Records, but unlike earlier where he claimed that 40 crores people voted for him, now he is saying that Star MAA didn’t reveal the figure to him but some YouTube channels published the figures. And then he added that a university is actually giving him a doctorate.
Forget about the name of the university, but why is he getting a doctorate, just for winning a reality show? “That question, the people who are giving me will answer you when they confer the doctorate to me,” said Kaushal. Looks like he is losing the game as he loses the grip on the words he’s saying.
Kaushal neither saved 100 people from drowning, nor he made lives of 1000s of people happier by his acts. He’s just part of a reality show and like many cinema stars, he too got fans. Nadendla Quits Cong, To Join Jana Sena!
After a lot of dilly dallying and brainstorming with his followers, former assembly speaker and senior Congress leader Nadendla Manohar on Thursday called it quits to the party and is all set to join the Jana Sena Party floated by power star Pawan Kalyan.
Nadendla submitted his resignation to the party headquarters in Delhi through fax and left for Tirupati, where he would be meeting Pawan Kalyan and formally join the Jana Sena in the evening, sources close to him said.
Nadendla has been one of the most hard core loyalists of the Congress party and is considered to be closer to party president Rahul Gandhi. In fact, he was the one who made all the arrangements for Rahul’s visit to Andhra a couple of years ago.
A few months ago, Nadendla, along with several Congress leaders, met AICC president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi and discussed the ways to strengthen the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh.
And there was a talk among the Congress party circles in Andhra Pradesh that Nadendla would be made Pradesh Congress Committee chief, replacing N Raghuveera Reddy.
However, recent reports from Delhi indicated that Raghuveera Reddy would continue as the party president till the next elections. And that has disappointed Nadendla a lot.
Secondly, he has realized that there is no future for the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh for another 10 years and so, he would be wasting his energies.
Sources said he tried to sustain his political career by entering Telangana assembly as an MLA. He reportedly asked for the party ticket to contest from Kukatpalli in the settlers’ quota.
But since Nadendla represented Tenali in the past, he cannot be considered as a settler in Telangana and hence, the party did not consider his name. So, he had no option but to look for alternative platform to sustain his political career.
In June this year, Nadendla had a meeting with the Jana Sena Party president at his residence in Hyderabad. It led to the speculation that he might join the Jana Sena Party.
Since the former Speaker represents a powerful community in central coastal Andhra, it would be a plus point for Jana Sena if he joins hands with Pawan.
HC raps KCR for not holding panchayat polls!
In a rude shock to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and its president chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday ordered the conduct of panchayat raj elections within three months.
The high court passed the orders pertaining to a petition filed by noted lawyer B Rachna Reddy against appointing the special officers to gram panchayats in place of sarpanches to administer the local bodies.
The term of the elected bodies in gram panchayats came to an end on July 31 this year and instead of conducting the elections, the KCR government preferred to appoint special officers in place of elected bodies to rule the panchayat raj institutions.
Terming the move is against the constitution, the court directed the government to hold the elections within three months.
The court also vexed with the government over non-conduct of panchayat elections and discrepancies in the voter list.
It also said that the appointed special officers for the gram panchayats will continue in the posts until the commencement of the elections.
Hubby Stays In Cong, Sends Wife Into BJP!
In what can be considered a big shock to the Congress party in Telangana, C Padmini Reddy, wife of former deputy chief minister and senior Congress leader Damodar Raja Narasimha, resigned from the party on Thursday.She made a surprising appearance at the headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Nampally and formally joined the party.
She also appeared at the press conference addressed by senior party leaders including K Laxman, P Muralidhar Rao and others.It is learnt Padmini Reddy, who has been very active in Congress politics since 2014 assembly elections, was upset with the decision of the party not to give more than one ticket to one family.
She was expecting the party ticket from Sangareddy, but the party is in no mood to entertain her request because it has already finalised the name of former MLA T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy.Party sources say she brought pressure on her husband, who is presently manifesto committee chairman of the PCC, to join the BJP, but he did not agree.
So, having no other option, Padmini alone decided to join the BJP. Since she has become very popular with her social service activities, she is confident that she can win Sangareddy seat as a BJP candidate.
Interestingly, Damodar’s rival in Andole constituency in 2014 assembly elections and comedian Babu Mohan also joined the BJP recently, after he was denied the ticket in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
So, Damodar’s wife would be working her husband’s rival in the coming elections!

‘It was only Penchal Das who was from Rayalaseema and also has the traditional and true slang in him. He taught us the slang really well and it helped us in delivering dialogues in a better way. It was really a plus point having him on the sets as he also taught us about their traditions and celebrations. He told us that during celebrations in the village, people sing songs and dance for it,’ said Trivikram.
EC Blind To TRS Violation Of Model Code?
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee has alleged that the election authorities have failed to implement the Model Code of Conduct across the Telangana State.
TPCC treasure G Narayana Reddy said even after a month of dissolution of assembly and imposition of model code of conduct, the pictures of caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and other ministers have not been removed from the government advertisements on RTC buses, government offices, hoardings, flexies and other places.
The Congress party refused to accept the CEO’s contention that a special drive has been launched to remove the pictures.
“If your office is serious in implementing the Model Code of Conduct then all the pictures and hoardings can be removed from across the State in a single day. However, either your office is not issuing serious orders or the District Electoral Officers are not taking your orders seriously,” Reddy said in his letter to Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar.
The Congress leader also demanded an enquiry into the advertisements issued to media by the State Government after the dissolution of Assembly on September 6.
“We also request you to impose a ban on issuing of all advertisements till the elections are over,” he demanded.
Reddy alleged that the caretaker CM, ministers and nominated chairmen of various corporations and other functionaries were still using the official vehicles during election campaign. They are moving in large convoys, which comprises of government vehicles, to different areas for campaigning of TRS party.
He demanded that the misuse of official vehicles be stopped with immediate effect.

Initially, it was said that Naga Chaitanya’s latest movie “Savyasachi” deals with the concept of Alien Hand Syndrome where the hero will lose control of one hand and it starts behaving independently without brain giving any signals to it. But the teaser of the film gave a new revelation altogether.
Savyasachi teaser says that the film is actually based on ‘Vanishing Twin Syndrome’, a foetus that joins with another one inside the womb and starts acting like a brother after delivery. The whole teaser has those graphics shots depicting that half of the body (majorly left hand) is behaving like there is some other soul inside. It might sound quite a new fantasy or biological fiction for a few, but medical students are laughing at the way the term Vanishing Twin Syndrome is used by this film’s makers.
Like ‘Alien Hand Syndrome’ or ‘Multiple Personality Disorder’, this particular ‘Vanishing Twin Syndrome’ has nothing to do with mental illness. This thing occurs early during pregnancy in a woman, who is carrying 2-3 foetuses inside. When one of them dies, most of the dead foetus tissue is absorbed into living one and after delivery, a mummified foetus (fetus papyraceus) will be removed. Guess what, scientists discovered that the surviving baby bears no evidence of having once had a womb-mate. But ‘Savyasachi’ movie teaser says as if two souls are living in one body, leading to laughs.
Gone are the days where audiences are accepting fiction so easily. These days some logic and careful assertions are required for these types of dramas. Wonder what Savyasachi makers have to say about this.
