It has been many months since a big ticket superstar’s film released from Telugu film industry. Naa Peru Surya that released in May was the last big budget film to hit the theaters, which means Telugu audience are craving for big ticket entertainment. Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava is the only big ticket film to hit the marquee in the second half of this year.

Advance booking trends clearly indicate that the film is in for a massive start at box office. Tickets are selling like hot cakes on all online portals. First day shows are sold out in all major theaters across Hyderabad already. The combination of NTR and Trivikram is bound to get such a thumping response and the duo is not letting the buyers and fans down.

Aravindha Sametha has a huge advantage to cash in on the Dusshera vacation with literally nil competition from other films. With NOTA bombing big time and Devadas losing steam it is clear ground for Aravindha Sametha to make the most of holiday season. All that it needs is decent word of mouth from early shows on Oct 11 which would unleash the rampage of Young Tiger on Telugu box office.

In recent times, star heroes are calling the shots when it comes finalising the runtime of their films. While some are liking it to keep it short under 2 hours, some are going for hours and hours. But Ram Charan’s decision has surely stunned many.

Completely relying on Sukumar, Ram Charan has left the decision of trimming Rangasthalam to his director only. And then, the director took a second opinion from Megastar Chiru and decided to go ahead with 3 hours runtime. After watching the ‘final cut’ of the film, Tarak is said to have got carried away by the heavy-duty emotion portrayed in the second half by ‘wizard of words’ Trivikram. And though few wellwishers advised them both to cut the runtime, NTR left it to his director to take a call on the final cut. Looks like Trivikram is convinced that the sentiment will work out and hence such a lengthy runtime.

From Arjun Reddy to Mahanati, Rangasthalam to Naa Peru Surya, many films opted for this 3 hours and 10 minutes plus or minus scenario. As most of them worked, even Tarak is said to be going with guts for the same.

Hype and box office potential are two different things, and they vary from film to film. After the super success of “Arjun Reddy” which made more than 25+ crores share, there came “Geetha Govindam” that made 66+ crores share at the Telugu box office. But that didn’t help Vijay Devarkonda now!!

The likes of Mahesh, Charan and NTR also can’t post heavy numbers in case if they come up with sloppy content. In the case of Vijay Devarakonda, it happened the same now as “NOTA” gave him the first ever shock. While the film collected 7.5+ crores share on the first day, it’s Saturday and Sunday collections added only 70 lakhs to it, taking the share to 8.2 crores.

More importantly, if the Saturday collection is higher than Sunday collection, then that film will be considered as a mega flop only. This made it clear that even if Vijay Devarakonda’s antics are impressive, it’s the content that weaves a money-spinning web around itself but not just a hero alone. There will be so many things for the actor to learn from this colossal flop.

In the recent times, only a few actors scored back to back big hits and if NOTA has scored a hit then it would have completed that terrific hattrick for Vijay Devarakonda. Dot!!

Each director has a taste for visuals, looks and genre. But when this becomes redundant, then audiences feel bored. Seems like guruji Trivikram’s bag sentiment also falls into the very same boring category.

In almost all of Trivikram’s movies, he shows the protagonist travelling from one place to other and that’s where the drama gets the twists. Aravinda Sametha is that big-ticket entertainer that is hitting cinemas after a long time. Probably after summer treat by Rangasthalam and Bharat Anu Nenu, this is the big star movie that film lovers are waiting for.

Both NTR and Trivikram are quite confident about the success of this film which preaches that war is not an option but peace is. To be frank, the success of this film won’t matter to these two, because their next couple of films are already set. However, more than NTR or Trivikram, there is another person who needs the success of this film badly.

It’s none other than composer Thaman, who is promoting the film every other day in a big way, aggressively, in one way or the other. From the last two years, Thaman hasn’t impressed with any album, except few songs clicking. The only saving grace for him is the stupendous background score he gives to films, thereby lifting even dull scenes to high octane zone.

But now, Thaman is claiming that this is the best work of his life and even Jr NTR acknowledged this recently. For all the good reasons around, songs of Aravinda Sametha are so far not chartbusters but Thaman is quite desperate for them to become a big hit at least after film’s release. Let’s see what happens.

Close on the heels of reports that Jagan is sending feelers to Pawan Kalyan on possible post-election tie-up through his political adviser Prashant Kishor, Pawan Kalyan’s latest comment has triggered a kinda panic in political circles, particularly in TDP camp.

Responding to a question by media persons, Pawan said, “Jagan is not my enemy. I don’t have any enemies. I had supported TDP in 2014 only for a strong, stable government. I won’t spare corruption, cheating.” Pawan indicated that Jagan is not “untouchable” in politics thus hinting a possible post-election alliance.

Pawan added that Janasena should come to power through questioning the government on behalf of people. By adopting an attack on ruling TDP and stating that Jagan is not his enemy, Pawan is sending strong signals for new political platform in AP.

Pawan, who was in West Godavari district, further said winning and losing are part and parcel of politics. He said he wouldn’t mind the success, failure much. Pawan attacked TDP to the core. Indirectly attacking minister Nara Lokesh, Pawan said the Panchayat Raj system has been grossly ignored. He also said he hasn’t come into politics based on caste, community and religion.
