Naga Chaitanya will be seen in a stylish avatar and his character is inspired by the character Arjuna from ‘Mahabharath.’‘Savyasachi’ shooting has been wrapped up and the post-production works are underway too. MM Keeravani is composing music for ‘Savyasachi’ while the film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and they are planning to release the movie in November.

To which, Shariq Patel, CEO Zee Studios, added: “The film celebrates and salutes the extraordinary journey of India’s fiercest warrior queen.”The movie has been in the midst of a controversy ever since the news of Kangana stepping in behind the camera to direct patchwork emerged.

Actor Sonu Sood has walked out of the film owing to his professional commitment towards “Simmba”. However, Kangana hit back at him, claiming he left the movie as he “refused to work under a woman director”.

On his part, Sonu has denied this.

Now, actress Swati Semwal has also quit the project as she was unsure if her role would have been substantial enough following Sonu’s exit from the movie.

The combination of Nagarjuna and Nani has been attracting crowds all over. Devadas got a decent start at the box office with over Rs. 6.5 crore share worldwide on its first day. It held reasonably well on its second day and is set for a decent first weekend.

The film was sold for high prices, which means it will have to do well in its first week as there are big releases lined up in coming weeks.Mani Ratnam’s Nawab that released along with Devadas opened on a very dull note. U Turn and Silly Fellows also failed to recover the costs.

Vishal’s upcoming actioner Pandem Kodi 2 will have a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu on October 18. Raj Kiran and Vishal are playing father and son again in the film directed by Linguswamy.

Now, in an exclusive update, we have learnt that apart from Sriram Adittya, there was another key person who was involved in the setting up of the entire project. He is none other than veteran music composer Mani Sharma.

Apparently, Mani Sharma became quite close to Sriram Adittya ever since he had worked with the young director for Samanthakamani. Mani Sharma had acted as a mediator and even convinced both Nag and Nani and made them give their nod to Sriram Adittya’s script. Well, that’s some great help for the young director from an industry senior.

Shraddha Kapoor is all set to sink her teeth into the role of badminton champion Saina Nehwal for the upcoming biopic on her life.The film, produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and directed by Amole Gupte, went on floors on September 22.Now, the makers have released the first look of the film, which shows the actress channeling the badminton champ’s famous fighting spirit.

Saina’s achievements in the sport speak for themselves the first Indian to win two singles gold medals in the Commonwealth Games (2010 & 2018), the first Indian to win singles bronze medal at Asian Games and the only Indian female badminton player to be ranked World No 1 (in 2015).

Talking about her prep for the role in the film, which included 6 am training sessions, the actress says, “I have already clocked 40 classes of badminton in preparation for this biopic. It’s a really tough sport, but I am enjoying myself.

Saina’s journey itself is so interesting right from her misses to her injuries and victories.I can relate to her journey in a big way, because I have gone through similar experiences in a different field. For an industry that was riding on hero’s mass image, Baahubali came as a huge market-changer. After that the craze has returned for movies that give a kick only when watched on the big screen.Also, after figuring out the huge market, film-makers are now crazy about making socio-fantasy films.

So the latest film to hit big screen is Robot 2.0. Of course, for now only the teaser has come out, but the film barely managed to tickle the audience. The film is being made with a budget of Rs 500 crore as per makers, but it hasn’t pleased the audiences or fans one bit.

Then there is Thugs of Hindustan, which appears to be a period film heavily inspired by The Pirates of the Carribean. But the audience are not particularly thrilled with the trailer.Now it remains to be seen how the film will do in terms of content and graphics by the time it hits screens.
