700-Year-Old Gets Injected With Saline Bottles
Generally, saline drips are given to patients who have been too weak to take something in through their mouths. But here, a 700-year-old living legend, none other than a Banyan tree, is getting such treatment.
In what is called world’s second largest Banyan tree which is located in Pillalamarri village of Mahabunagar district, forest officials are now pouring huge efforts to make sure that it won’t dry. A huge number of termites started destroying the ficus tree, officials tried to pump chemical into the stem, but it failed. For that reason, now they are giving saline-drips, infusing the chemical solution drop by drop, in order to save the tree.
Way back in December 2017, visiting this tree by tourists got closed and officials are on the job of breathing life into it. They have put a saline drip of chemical Chloropyrifos bottles for every two metres of the giant legend. There are almost hundred such bottles placed all over the tree.
Also by providing some chemically treated water to the roots to building concrete pillars to support the branches and preventing them from breaking up, officials are trying hard to save this legend.
On the other hand, the world’s largest Banyan tree is Thimmamma Marrimanu located in Anantapur district near Kadiri, according to the Guinness Book of World records.

BAN Takes Cue From Rangasthalam
Of late, filmmakers are making sure to cut their film’s runtime to maximum of two and half hours. Duration of few films is locked to 130 to 140 minutes, as not to bore audience with lengthy runtime.
However, Rangasthalam makers took a bold decision by finalizing the film’s runtime to 2 hr 55 minutes. Though many criticized for keeping such lengthy runtime, they were proved wrong as the film received enormous reports from audience and critics alike.
Taking cue from Rangasthalam, makers of Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu have locked their film’s duration to 2 hrs 53 mins long.Apparently, director Koratala Siva feels cutting of any crucial sequences will spoil essence of the film. And when subject is narrated engagingly, length will not be a big problem.
Meanwhile, Bharat Ane Nenu has cleared censor formalities with U/A certificate. No cuts were recommended for the film.Bharat Ane Nenu has now completed all the formalities and it will now grace the theaters on April 20th.Let’s hope the lengthy runtime will only have positive effect on the film!
TDP MLA’s Big Warning to Telugu Film Industry
Telangana TDP MLA R Krishnaiah made stunning comments on Telugu film industry. He threatened the costly lands owned by the film heroes and producers will be grabbed from them if the discrimination of Telugu actors in providing opportunities continued in the future.
Participating in a round table conference on growing casting couch – discrimination in Telugu film industry, Krishnaiah warned the film industry will face serious consequences if the present trend did not change. The film producers and heroes got costly lands from the government at throw away prices. The fruits of success of the the film industry should reach every one who works hard.
Telangana JAC leader M Kodandaram also extended his solidarity to the women actors who were struggling hard in getting opportunities in the film industry. He supported the demand for giving 90 per cent opportunities to local Telugu talent in the films. The JAC leader also questioned the government for not registering cases against film personalities who exploited women artists.
Bunny’s Mega Sketch Behind Chiranjeevi’s Visit?
Ram Charan not only scored a huge blockbuster with Rangasthalam but also earned the tag of the ‘True Mega Heir’ from Mega fans. Incidentally, Allu Arjun’s fans have been addressing him as the ‘Next Megastar’ for the last couple of years, as he has been constantly delivering hits when rest of the Mega heroes were failing.
Allu Arjun has been trying to come out of the Mega shadow and create his own identity for quite a long time. Pawan churning out a series of flops and Ram Charan falling behind in the race also proved advantageous to the Stylish Star.
But Charan conquered the box-office and even erased all the criticism on his acting skills with a terrific performance in Rangasthalam. And this left Bunny being overshadowed in Charan’s newfound aura. And then came Pawan, who praised Charan to the sky and doubled Charan’s image among the Mega fans.
Already, Allu Arjun distanced himself from Pawan and this didn’t go down well with the Power Star’s fans. In this scenario, to regain the Mega fans’ support, Bunny heavily promoted Chiranjeevi’s visit to Naa Peru Surya’s sets to show that he’s still in his uncle’s good books. Now, it remains to be seen if Bunny and Naa Peru Surya’s team will invite Chiru or Charan to the film’s pre-release event.
