What’s on starlet Rakul Preet’s mind right now is something unreadable for her Telugu fans as she’s not taking up the big offers that are coming her way. Currently, no big star is in her kitty when it comes to Telugu films and here is she condemning another news as well.

Other day already news is out that the team of Naga Chaitanya’s “Savyasachi” is gearing up to remix the song “Ninnu Road Meedha Choosinane Lagayithu” that featured in Nagarjuna’s yesteryear film “Allari Alludu”. While that song itself is a remix of yesteryear Hindi golden hit “Mere Sapnom Ki Rani Kab Ayegithu”, this new remix gained prominence as Chaitanya is also joining the likes of mega and Nandamuri heroes who remixed songs of their predecessors.

There are rumours that both Kajal Agarwal and Rakul Preet are approached for this special ‘item’ song but the former denied it as she has done an item number recently for Janatha Garage. While Rakul is said to have signed the dotted line to turn up that ‘road meedha lagayithu’ for Chay, she claimed that there is no such thing happening.

With Rakul officially giving clarity that there is no such thing, maybe the song will be canned on hero Chay and heroine Nidhi Agarwal itself, a source said. Let’s see.

The first teaser of ‘Mahanati’ movie has garnered over three million views and they are not stopping. The biopic being made on the evergreen actress Savitri has Keerthy Suresh in titular role and her appearance as Savitri is just mesmerizing.

Other day a poster released by “Rangasthalam” team has received severe criticism, not from fans or cinema lovers, but from critics. Because the poster mentioned that the film is the biggest hit of TFI with 175 crores gross collection. Though the disclaimer “Non-Baahubali” is added at the bottom, people felt that Ram Charan’s makers insulted Baahubali movie.

With criticism at the peak, mega fans took to social media to clarify about the posters. “Even if a film flops at the box office, the makers of the movie still call for success meets and paste posters that read super hit. For many films that released in 2018 so far, we have witnessed it already. All that is done, only to attract some more audiences to theatres. In a similar fashion, this particular poster is also to attract more audiences but not to defame any other movie”, opined fans.

Also if we have to speak upright, no other film that makes a pre-release business of 100 crores and below will be able to hit Baahubali collections. And when people are saying a particular film created records, then definitely it is a ‘Non-Baahubali’ record only. Like the way they add a particular disclaimer called ‘mutual investments are subjected to market risks’, one should understand that by default any record that is being talked is ‘non baahubali’ only. So why the big fuss about the poster?

On the flip side, true admirers of “Rangasthalam” feel that the makers should have completely avoided these box office figures and calling the numbers on posters as that lessens the film’s thunderous achievement. No matter whether producers claim it or not, Rangasthalam stood next to Baahubali 1 and 2 when it comes to box office performance.

After working on the script for many months, Merlapaka approached Charan again and narrated the script. Charan didn’t like the second half and rejected it. Then Nani took up the same script.However, even the Midas touch of Nani couldn’t save the film. Finally, it is Ram Charan 1, Nani 0.

Of late, there have been many biopics announced in Tollywood. One is the biopic on NTR being helmed by Teja and the other is the one on YSR being helmed by Mahi V Raghav. And finally, there is one on actress Savithri which is releasing next month and is directed by Nag Ashwin.

While the biopics on NTR and YSR obviously have a political agenda to them judging by the fact that they have been timed for an election release, the biopic on legendary actress Savithri titled Mahanati is indeed special. Why?

Unlike the biopics on NTR and YSR, Mahanati is a case of art for art’s sake. Neither the director Nag Ashwin, nor the producers Priyanka and Swapna Dutt, the daughters of Ashwini Dutt, belong to Savitri’s caste or have any ulterior motive for telling this story.

In other words, this biopic is not a case of self dabba. Savitri is unarguably the finest actress to have graced the silver screen in South cinema and the biopic is indeed a heartwarming tribute to the legend.

In the male-dominated world of films, Savitri created a niche for herself and all kudos to Nag Ashwin, Priyanka and Swapna Dutt for bringing her story alive on screen. There can be no greater tribute to womanhood.

The news came late that just a day after Nani’s Krishnarjuna Yuddham released in theatres, the film’s piracy print is out in the market. And for the travellers on the Bangalore-Hyd service of Telangana RTC’s Volvo bus, the free show of KAY is screened. The news came out with a netizen taking a snapshot of the happening and questioning IT Minister of Telangana state KTR on twitter.

“That’s extremely irresponsible on the part of the Telangana-RTC staff of this bus. Request JMD of TSRTC to make sure to act and prevent recurrence” tweeted KTR, initiating a swift action. With allegations surfacing against him as a small-time actress Sunitha accused Mahesh Kathi of forcing her for sex at his flat, the critic breathed fire. Unlike talking all this on a TV channel, he took to his Facebook Live to share a video accusing Konidela Productions of sending this Sunitha against him.

Young singer turned talk show host Kaumudi Nemani is popular for her cute looks and chirpy talks in the web world. She later made her silver screen debut with Chay’s Rarandoi Veduka Chuddham with a cameo and also appeared in another small role in Ram’s Vunnadi Okate Zindagi.
