Allu Arjun’s Bollywood Debut With A Biopic?
Allu Arjun’s Bollywood debut has been one of the most consistently discussed topics among fans and Tollywood media circles. And the buzz around his Bollywood entry is back since last night.
Apparently, the makers of 83, a biopic on legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev, have zeroed in on Allu Arjun to play former Team India’s star cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth’s role in the movie. The biopic showcases the Men In Blue’s historic World Cup victory in 1983. Srikkanth was a member of the Indian team that clinched the cup.
However, it is still unclear whether Allu Arjun has given his consent to the biopic. It will be a nice gesture by the Stylish Star if he agrees to play a crucial role in his maiden Bollywood flick, which has young heart-throb Ranveer Singh essaying Kapil Dev’s role. Kabir Khan directs 83 and Vishnu Induri co-produces it.
Ex Speaker To Join TRS
Just a day after the dissolution of the Telangana Legislative Assembly and sounding early poll bugle, TRS is leaving no stone unturned to maintain the political steam. In its fresh stroke, TRS has invited senior Congress leader, ex-Speaker and YSR’s close aide Suresh Reddy into its fold.
KTR has personally met Suresh Reddy and invited him into the TRS. The duo told to have held deliberations and the former readily agreed to join the TRS. Suresh Reddy has formally joined the TRS in the presence of KTR and both have held a joint press conference corroborating the decision. Suresh Reddy stressed the need for the return of KCR and TRS to continue the development works in the new state.
KR Suresh Reddy’s exit from the Congress is seen as a set back to the grand-old party that is struggling to give a tough fight to the TRS and KCR ahead of the general elections.Meanwhile, many see this move of TRS as a counter move to Congress party that is expected to join D Srinivas who is presently now in TRS.
One & Only T-TDP MLA Getting Ready For Polls
From 15 MLAs in Telangana in 2014, TDP is now left with just one MLA. Though all the 15 had won against the TRS wave soon after the formation of Telangana, 14 of them have eventually joined into TRS and Congress.
The one and only TDP MLA in Telangana state who is left with TDP is none other than Sandra Venkata Veeraiah who represents Sattupalli Assembly constituency in Khammam district. As the Assembly is dissolved and Telangana is bracing up for polls, now the latest update is that Sandra is going to contest the election on TDP ticket itself and he is going to contest from Sathupalli constituency only.
Sandra has already kicked up the campaign in the Sathupalli constituency and is extremely confident of winning in the coming general election on TDP ticket. Sandra is a two-time MLA from Sathupalli who won consecutively. He is now hoping for a hat-trick. After offering special pooja at Muthyalamma Temple in Rama Nagaram in the constituency, Sandra spoke to media. He exuded that he has the blessings of the people who are happy with him over the development of the constituency.
Not withstanding several external pressures on him, Sandra remained in TDP and has been loyal to the party. In fact, Sandra was named in the infamous cash-for-vote case by the ACB and even remanded in the judicial custody. Yet all these troubles, Sandra stick to his party. Even when Revanth had switched his loyalties to Congress, Sandra continued in TDP. In fact, highly impressed with this, Chandrababu Naidu has nominated Sandra as the TTD Board member.
‘Vura Kukka, Vura Pandi’, New Lows In AP Politics
He is reckoned as the firebrand minister in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet and the moment one provokes him, he bursts into anger in no time. Once again he has launched a scathing attack on Andhra Pradesh opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The minister is Adinarayana Reddy who shifted his loyals from YSRCP to Telugu Desam. As YSR Congress leaders are constantly stating that they won the 2014 election purely on the basis of Jagan’s charisma, this has irked Adi. He raised a valid point by mentioning about YSRCP’s honorary president YS Vijayamma’s defeat in Vizag.
Not stopping here, Adinarayana Reddy said ‘if we are stray Dogs, then you (jagan) and your party leaders are stray Pigs’? (Memu Vura Kukkalamayithe Meeru Vura Pandulu). This statement makes AP politics to reach a new low and politicians are degrading their image by themselves. People too do not appreciate such disgraceful comments.
Adi Narayana Reddy went on to say that YSRCP is involving in cheap politics by spreading false rumours that TDP has offered him Rs 20 crore. He questioned how much had Jagan bribed him when he reached the opposition leader in the past.
Meanwhile TDP leaders are cautioning not to make baseless allegations against Adi, else a befitting reply would hit back soon.

Silly Fellows : Movie Review
Silly Fellows starring Allari Naresh and Sunil is remake of a Tamil hit Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran. Remake specialist Bheemaneni wielded the megaphone for it.
Story:
Sooribabu (Sunil) gets accidentally married to Pushpa, a recording dancer. His friend Veerababu’s (Allari Naresh) love with wannabe police (Chitra) runs into problem as MLA Jacket Janaki Ram (Jayaprakash Reddy) meets with an accident and loses memory. How Veerababu and Soori escape from this mess to get married to their respective girlfriends forms crux of the story.
Performances:
Allari Naresh is his usual self. He is clearly lacking in confidence compared to his earlier films. Thankfully, he is ably supported by Sunil who is back to doing comedy roles. Sunil is quite impressive as the sidekick of Naresh. Chitra Shukla neither shines as a police nor in normal attire. Brahmanandam’s cameo is just okay. Jayaprakash Reddy’s comedy towards the climax is good. Posani Krishna Murali’s performance is loud and unbearable. Poorna plays a blink and miss role as Sunil’s girlfriend.
Technicalities:
Bheemaneni Srinivasarao remains loyal to the original. It is almost a frame-to-frame remake of Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran. Old fashioned direction and presentation don’t impress much. A bit of upgrade according to the latest trends would have been good.
Music is loud, but thankfully there aren’t many songs in the film. Cinematography is pretty standard without anything special about it. Editing is alright. Keeping the runtime short is one of its biggest benefits. Dialogues are good in parts.
Thumbs Up:
Sunil’s comedy
Jayaprakash Reddy’s final episode
Thumbs Down:
Old fashioned direction
Loud comedy
Weak characters
Analysis:
Silly Fellows is a film targeted at B and C centers audience. These comedies have become outdated long back, but Bheemaneni tries his luck yet again with the help of a Tamil script. There is not much story in the film. It is just an episode after episode of comedy laced together to give the ticket’s worth of entertainment. However, only a few episodes have clicked while most of them ended up as damp squibs.
Sunil’s track with Pushpa was supposed to be hilarious, but it didn’t turn out as expected. It gets repetitive after a while and Sunil has to push hard to make it work. Naresh’s romantic thread with Chitra Shukla is another dampener. These scenes just eat away the screen time than offering entertainment. Brahmanandam’s episode partially works. Whole second half runs on a single note with a lot of gibberish and nonsense.
Jayaprakash Reddy recollecting his memory and telling the same story from early morning is one of the funniest episodes in the film. Climax is just stretched for another fifteen minutes without much comedy. Silly Fellows has its moments of fun, but doesn’t get over the average mark at any point. It may appeal to the target audience with few episodes offering decent laughs. Silly Fellows should work with mass audience and is likely to end up as an average grosser at box office. It is definitely not the game-changer that Naresh and Bheemaneni desired for.
Verdict: Old School Comedy
RX100 hero pay touches the moon!
All it takes is one proper hit and a hero, heroine and director of that particular film become overnight stars and accordingly their pay cheques swell too. This is not new thing in the industry and this trend repeated once again.
With the super success of ‘RX100,’ hero Kartikeya Reddy is knocked by a couple of producers to cast in their respective upcoming projects. But to their shocking Kartikeya has reportedly quoted a sum of Rs 1 crore per film. The eight digit remuneration demand has made the producers to give a second thought about casting the ‘RX100’ protagonist.
Hero Kartikeya has produced his first two films i.e, ‘Prematho Mee Karthik’ and ‘RX100.’ The first film vanished with no trace at the box office while the second registered some unbelievable numbers.
