MAA Controversy : Will Mahesh Back Out Of Event?

Share

As a major controversy unfolded in the Movie Artistes Association (MAA) with president Sivaji Raja and secretary Naresh locking horns and the MAA divided into two groups, gloom surrounded Mahesh Babu’s fundraising event.

While Naresh & Co are demanding that next event marking the silver jubilee celebrations of the MAA should be put on hold until the controversy ends and clarity emerges, Sivaji, Srikanth, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao and others are maintaining that the event with Mahesh is very much on and the same organizers who had conducted the Dallas event would do this as well.

This has turned into a bone of contention between both the parties. Naresh, Gautam Raju and others are demanding that an inquiry into Dallas event would be conducted in a fair manner and should constitute a Facts Finding Committee with retired IAS, IPS officers and stating that the same event organizers shouldn’t be repeated since allegations arose.

Naresh has stated that it was him who had connected Namrata, Mahesh and convinced the latter for the MAA event. Naresh, however, stated that Sivaji Raja’s team has directly contacted Mahesh and sidelined him which he said is raising suspicion.

These statements are now raising doubts whether Mahesh would be attending the MAA event in the wake of controversies and allegations. Since Mahesh is non-controversial and avoids unwanted controversies, this MAA controversy is said to be pulling him unnecessarily.

Now, speculations in film circuits are rife that Mahesh may even drop out of the MAA event if the controversy persists and both parties doesn’t come to a logical conclusion. Now that bigwigs such as Chiranjeevi are involved, one has to wait and see, what would be the outcome.

Magadheera creating sensation in Japan

Share

After the global success of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali, which discovered new markets for Indian films, the director’s another big film ‘Magadheera’ has now been released in Japan.

Most of the Indian blockbusters got a wide release in Japan and Rajinikanth’s ‘Muthu’, that released 21 years ago, is still the highest grosser there and that film yielded immense popularity and craze for Indian Superstar Rajinikanth in Japan. Muthu has minted $1.6 Million while SS Rajamouli’s latest magnum opus Baahubali ended up its run by garnering $1.2 Million at Japan box office.

Now, Ram Charan’s Magadheera which was released on 30th August has opened to a solid box-office start and the first weekend figures are close to $1 million. With the kind of run it’s enjoying there, the trade analysts expect it to collect more than Baahubali and the coming days will if it has potential to break the record of Rajinikanth’s ‘Muthu’ as well.

Pawan Sets Katamarayudu Director For Nephew

Share

Back in 2011, Pawan gave a huge boost to his nephew Sai Dharam Tej during his debut film ‘Rey’. That Rey was delayed forever and ended up as a huge flop is another story. Now, after SDT, Pawan is said to be monitoring his another nephew and SDT’s brother Vaishnav Tej in his acting career.

Pawan reportedly got his Katamarayudu director Dolly and Nela Ticket producer and Janasena sympathizer Ram Talluri to produce Vaishnav Tej’s film, while Pawan will present it under his Pawan Kalyan Creative Works banner.

Pawan is expected to announce the film somewhere in early next year, ahead of the general elections, to give the project and his nephew a huge hype. Rajamouli’s Son To Get Engaged Today

Share

Here’s an exclusive update. Tollywood’s star director Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya is all set to get engaged to his lady love today. Karthikeya is said to be in a committed relationship with his lady love for quite sometime. More details about the lucky girl will be revealed soon.

On the work front, Karthikeya is an all-rounder and Rajamouli himself had certified his son with that tag. Karthikeya has been assisting his dad in the direction and production departments on all his movies since Magadheera. He also ventured into business and co-owns a restaurant and the Nalgonda Eagles Kabaddi team in the Telangana Premiere Kabaddi.

Karthikeya is Rajamouli stepson. However, in an interview with a media house a couple of years ago, Rajamouli’s wife Rama said that no one in the family feels that Karthikeya is not the biological son of Rajamouli. This goes on to prove how deep Rajamouli and Karthikeya’s bond is.

Lokesh Relieved Over YSRC’s Boycott Decision!

Share

More than anybody else, it is Telugu Desam Party general secretary and state IT minister Nara Lokesh, who appears to be more relieved and relaxed with the decision of YSR Congress party MLAs’ decision to continue the boycott of the state assembly session.Though Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has written to the YSRC MLAs asking them to attend the session, Lokesh and his father chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu are very much sure that the opposition MLAs won’t attend the House.

Lokesh says it is better if the YSRC MLAs don’t attend the assembly session.“Even if they come, their only activity is disturbing and disrupting the proceedings in the House. They never raised any subject pertaining to the problems of people during their entire period in the assembly,” he said.

But the fact of the matter is that Lokesh is scared of facing the opposition in the assembly. In fact, he had never faced a strong opposition so far. Since Lokesh still fumbles in giving answers, he would have definitely got exposed had the YSRC MLAs attended the assembly sessions. So, it would be good for him if the YSRC continue to stay outside the House.

Naidu, however, felt that YSRC MLAs should have attended the assembly.“If they don’t want to come to the House, why should they take monthly salaries of legislators?” he asked.

Amaravati Remains A Non-Starter, Says BBC

Share

Notwithstanding the tall claims being made by Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu that his dream capital city of Amaravati is going to take a shape in the next few months, ground realities are entirely different, says a report that appeared in international news portal BBC.

Even as municipal administration minister P Narayana says the construction of roads will pick up pace by December, Naidu’s media managers have gone to the extent of saying that the government would arrange “Amaravati Darshan” for the people to go round and personally understand the progress of works on the capital. But the BBC report says the actual works on Amaravati, which is supposed to be 10 times bigger than Singapore in terms of its area, is still in nascent stage.

“Today, nothing has been built on the vast amount of land procured from farmers. Even roads and basic infrastructure like drainage and power lines are yet to be put in place. Barring an interim government complex with a Legislative Assembly and a Secretariat, there is nothing,” the report said. The BBC attributes the delay to Naidu’s personal obsession with grandiose designs and obsessions for historic legacy. It pointed out how Naidu went on changing the designers – from Japan’s Maki Associates to Foster and Partners, besides engaging film director S S Rajamouli.

But faced with funds crunch, as the central assistance being pittance and the World Bank loan of Rs 3,800 crore not forthcoming, Naidu is trying to borrow funds left, right and centre in his desperate bid to give a shape to the capital city. The BBC report also pointed out the concerns of environmentalists that Amaravati is a flood prone area.“It is an environmentally unsustainable project and a flood risk,” the report says quoting an environmentalist.
