Why should Muslims vote for TDP?
Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu sought to project himself as pro-Muslim by organising a big meeting of Muslim minorities of Guntur recently and announcing various sops for the Muslims.
Obviously, he was trying to get closer to the Muslims, who had been angry with him for forging alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party all these years.
Now that he has severed ties with the BJP, he wants to paint the saffron party as a villain and prove that the YSRC is getting closer to the BJP.
But the YSR Congress party has raised the fundamental question as to why the Muslims should believe Naidu and vote for the TDP in the next elections.
“This is not the first time that Naidu has cheated the Muslims. He aligned with the BJP for five years between 1999 and 2004 and then when he lost power, he broke the alliance blaming it on the BJP,” YSRC official spokesman Ambati Rambabu said.
He pointed out that during Naidu’s earlier stint and also in the latest stint, he had not done anything for the Muslims.
“It was former chief minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy who brought a new light in the lives of the Muslims by implementing four per cent reservations for Muslims in education and employment, for the first time in the country. The Muslims still say YSR Hamara,” he said.
Ambati alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government had spent crores of rupees of public money to organise Muslims expecting that they would say TDP Hamara.
“They are very much aware what he has done for them and what YSR had done. Naidu had not taken even a single Muslim into his cabinet. When the Muslim youth questioned his cheating, he got them arrested and beaten by the police. What arrogance is this?” Ambati asked.
All Eyes on KCR’s Speech
Adding more fuel to the ongoing speculations that Telangana Assembly would be dissolved and the state government to push the Election Commission for the early elections, all eyes are on KCR’s crucial political announcement tomorrow. KCR’s speech at Pragathi Nivedana Sabha to be held tomorrow is the most-anticipated.
Three hours ahead of his speech at the meet, Telangana cabinet is going to meet at 1 PM on Sunday. The cabinet is likely to take the crucial step. This is now a sign that the Assembly is likely to be dissolved. Soon after this, the entire cabinet and chief minister are going to attend the massive public meeting where they’re gonna address the people.
In addition to this, a large number of IAS officers, IPS officers, DSPs, circle inspectors have been transferred. This makes the air thicker with the possibility of dissolution of assembly and proposing early polls.
Meanwhile, massive arrangements are in fray for the Pragathi Nivedana Sabha. Approximately 7300 buses will be used to transport TRS cadre to the meeting site from all over the state. 10000 tractors are estimated to bring one lakh farmers from the districts to the meeting.
Shah throws up hands on early polls!
The Telangana unit of Bharatiya Janata Party is thoroughly disappointed with the attitude of its central leadership which is seeking to pamper the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the state, ignoring its own party workers.
On Friday, when the Telangana BJP leaders had a talk with party president Amit Shah at Rajiv Gandhi international airport at Shamshabad, where they received him on his way to Mantralayam in Kurnool district, he virtually threw up his hands on the issue of early elections.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the green signal to Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. There is nothing the BJP can do if KCR decides to go for early polls. And since everything is being done as per the procedure, the Election Commission also cannot do anything except to follow the rules,” Shah told the state BJP leaders, who are strongly opposing the early elections.
The BJP president told them to be prepared for the early elections. He, however, said there would be no alliance between the TRS and the BJP in the elections. “We have to put up the best fight in the elections,” he told them.
The Telangana BJP leaders are not convinced. They wondered if there was no alliance between the two parties, why the BJP central leadership was showing so much lenience towards the TRS.
“The Prime Minister has given too many appointments to KCR and granted whatever the TRS asked for, including the approval to the Zonal System,” they pointed out.
They reportedly told Shah that if the people believe that the TRS has any understanding with the BJP, the anti-establishment vote would go to the Congress.
But Shah told them that the BJP would not like to antagonise the TRS after the TDP led by N Chandrababu Naidu walked out of NDA.
Harish missing in action at TRS hungama!
Hardly a few hours are left for the conduct of “mother of all public meetings” by Telangana Rashtra Samithi at Kongara Kalan village on the outskirts of Hyderabad on September 2.For the last 10 days, the TRS leaders have been involved in hectic activity in making arrangements for the meeting. Except for senior ministers like Azmeera Chandulal, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Tummala Nageshwara Rao, almost all the cabinet colleagues of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao have been visiting the meeting venue regularly.
Every minister and senior party leaders have been given one task or the other with regard to preparing the meeting venue. Younger ministers like KCR’s son K T Rama Rao, finance minister Etela Rajender, animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivasa Rao and others are supervising the arrangements almost on a daily basis.
Even KCR visited the spot once, while his daughter K Kavitha have been entrusted with the task of coordinating with the national media.
But one person who is conspicuously missing from action is KCR’s nephew and irrigation minister T Harish Rao. Normally, Harish is known for his expertise in making fool-proof arrangements for such meetings. In all the previous occasions, KCR used to entrust the task of organising public meetings to Harish Rao.
So, when such a huge public meeting with an unprecedented crowds, it was naturally expected that Harish would be in the forefront in making the arrangements. However, he is not to be seen anywhere in the entire hungama.
Party sources said KCR has asked Harish to keep away from the meeting and confine himself to mobilising crowds to the meeting like any other MLA. He has given certain target to bring crowds at his own expense to the meeting. Besides, the chief minister wants Harish to focus on completion of Kaleshwaram project at the earliest.
It clearly shows KCR and his family has decided to suppress Harish Rao and make him an insignificant leader in the party, so that he will never raise his voice!
Paruaram’s Mega Bonding!
Although he has made 6 movies in a decade, director Parasuram couldn’t get that one big breakthrough which will take him to the next league of directors. And finally, his latest outing Geetha Govindam has turned out to be a massive hit by collecting nearly 105 crores.
Parasuram will be doing his next film for Geetha Arts 2 banner, which produced Geetha Govindam. Producer Bunny Vas recently gifted Parasuram a brand new flat as his advance remuneration. Naturally, all eyes are on the hero who will be acting under Parasuram’s direction.
In an exclusive update, we have been informed that young Mega hero Varun Tej has been confirmed as the male lead in Parasuram’s next movie. It’s going to be a romantic family entertainer just like Geetha Govindam. An official announcement regarding the project will be out next week.
No Production in Next 2 Years – Sampath
Sampath Nandi seems to have faced the heat of being producer. The Racha director has decided not to produce films for the next 2 years and rather wants to focus on his direction.
Sampath’s latest production Paper Boy which released yesterday opened to mixed talk. Apart from this, Sampath has also felt that there was a lot of stress and hard work in production and hence decided to wait for next 2 years.
Even Sampath’s debut production Galipatam has backfired and now his latest release Paper Boy receiving lukewarm response is adding to the disappointment.
Now, Sampath is focusing on direction. After his last film Gautham Nanda with Gopichand turned out to be a dud, Sampath is planning to direct Gopichand again in his next directorial. And this will be crucial for Sampath as well as Gopi to bounce back given their recent films didn’t do well at all.

Recently, Kumaraswamy, along with Nikhil, met the bride’s parents who are well-known industrialists in Andhra Pradesh. Noted Andhra industrialists cum politicians Ramakrishnam Raju and Lagadapati Rajagopal accompanied Kumaraswamy during his visit to Vijayawada.
However, the details of the Vijayawada industrialist’s family still continues to be a secret. Nikhil has been dating the girl for the last two years. The lovebirds met each other 2 years ago in Bengaluru. Further details will emerge once the two families finalise the marriage proposal.
Lakshyam, Loukyam – What Next?
Director Sriwass is going to collaborate with hero Gopichand yet again. After making Lakshyam and Loukyam with Gopi, Sriwass is going to start his next film which is expected to be formally launched on the eve of Vijaya Dasami and would go onto the floors subsequently.
The film will be produced by Bharat Chowdary, Kiran Reddy of Blue Planet Entertainment who produced Nene Raju Nene Mantri, MLA and now Sill Fellows. After his last two films Dictator and Saakshyam turned out to be duds, director Sriwass this time is confident of pulling off and is going to team up with his lucky mascot Gopi with whom he had given his career-best film Loukyam.
Although it’s not clear whether it would be an out-and-out entertainer like Loukyam or not, but Sriwass is said to be planning good dose of humour given the expectations on their successful combo.
Will Vijay Deverakonda Achieve 60!
“Geetha Govindam” has slowed down its run after performing on staggering manner for 15 days. However, it has not ended its run. In fact, the film has suddenly got more life at box-office after this weekend releases.
Trade pundits expected that Naga Shaurya’s ‘Narthanasala’ would put an end to Vijay Deverakonda’s movie run.Contrary to the calculations of the trade pundits, “Geetha Govindam” is collecting double the amount than what the new release “Narthanasala” is getting from each show. This is really surprising. Now that the new releases including “Paper Boy” have failed to attract the audiences, Vijay Deverakonda’s new movie will add moolah to its kitty.
The film has already crossed Rs 55 Cr mark. Now it has chances to reach Rs 60 Cr mark.
On this joyous moment, Vijay Deverakonda who is vacationing in Europe, tweeted: “The boys played well. I would like to dedicate my first century to my coaching staff – Geetha Arts, my captain Bujji and @iamRashmika for the lovely partnership. And the amazing crowd :)) The Telugu crowd, The Tamil crowd, The Kannada crowd and The Malayali crowd. Amazing!”
Hat-Trick Flops After Biggest Hit
Everyone appreciated Naga Shaurya for Chalo which was a huge risk as it was his own production and had a debut director.Chalo gave the young actor a fresh lease of life at the ticket window. But, the film industry is a great leveler.
After the biggest hit of his career, Naga Shaurya has tasted three back-to-back flops in the form of Kanam, Ammammagari Illu and Narthanasala which is another home production. In all fairness to the actor, Kanam and Ammammagari Illu were projects he had signed before Chalo.
However, in refusing to do anything to have to do with those films after the success of Chalo, Naga Shaurya also contributed in a way to their dismal performance at the box-office.On the personal side too, he seems to be having a slight disturbance as he has reportedly broken up with Niharika Konidela and also got into a controversy with his statement on Vijay Devarakonda.
