For reasons unknown, Telugu film industry has fallen in the idea of hero-centric movies and always our titles resemble that aspect of the film. Either it will be hero’s name or something about his aggressive character. But how many titles are being put in pure Telugu to give a feel about the language to younger generations?

Gone are the days of Dasari and Raghavendra Rao as they used to come up with pure Telugu titles even for commercial films. It’s rare these days to see titles like Ye Maya Chesave, Brahmotsavm and Needhi Naadhi Oke Katha. What is more upsetting is that some talented filmmakers like Sekhar Kammula who bat for Telugu all the time end up not using Telugu titles. His films like Anand, Godavari, Happy Days, Anamika, Life Is Beautiful and Fidaa are either nouns or English words or non-Telugu words. And it looks like other directors are also following this.

For example, take young director Anil Ravipudi who is coming up with commercial entertainers in a row. His films are titled Pataas, Supreme, Raja The Great and the latest one is F2- Fun and Frustration. Either non-Telugu words or Nouns are taking centre stage here, but when will we get to see pure Telugu like the way Tamil makers title their movies? That’s why they say even Anil is suffering from the Kammula Syndrome.

The original title of Mani Ratnam’s Cheliya in Tamil is Kaatru Veliyadai (in between the clouds), Karthi’s Khakee is Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (Brave officer No1) and Surya’s Gang is Thaanaa Serndha Koottam in Tamil. Though all those films have different concepts, their pure Tamil titles are lovely to witness. Can’t we be the same and shower Telugu love?

Kalyan Ram’s wholesome family entertainer ‘MLA’ is performing well in the domestic market. The film turned out to be the biggest opener in the Nandamuri hero’s career.

Until its first weekend, MLA collected Rs.5.93 Cr from Rs.9.80 Cr gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. On the other hand, the film has grossed Rs.12 Cr worldwide, with a share of Rs.7.03 Cr by the end of Sunday.

After marriage, #ChaySam gave preference to work for a couple of weeks and went to London for Honeymoon. Now our hottie and her husband is in the USA for their second honeymoon, enjoying their time at various scenic locales. Straight after wrapping her Mahanati, they left to the USA for a vacation. And they are right now chilling out in Miami beach and taking part in a music retreat as well.

Known for her love towards various English songs, bands and artists, Samantha is caught wearing a Beatles jacket and chilling out at Ultra Music Festival that took place on Sunday in Miami. Even Chaitanya, who has completed the schedule of his next with Maruthi, is seen chilling out to the core.

But the moot question is, when will Samantha promote Rangasthalam movie when the release is just around the corner? It seems like she won’t promote, as she already pre-recorded her interviews and gave special bytes to TV channels for three days of time a week ago and left the country.

2018 is going to be quite eventful for Ram Charan. The actor’s latest film ‘Rangasthalam’ is gearing up for release on March 30th. This film will be special for Charan, as he’s playing the role of a hearing-impaired man for the first time in his career.

And later this year, Charan will kick start shooting for Rajamouli’s most eagerly awaited multistarrer, also featuring NTR. There have been several rumours and speculations on this prestigious multistarrer, and one among them is that Ram Charan and NTR will be playing brothers in the movie.

Last night, Charan began the TV promotions for Rangasthalam. When quizzed about the multistarrer, Charan revealed that Rajamouli had sent him a text message, saying, “Charan, I came to know from my son Karthikeya that you are starting the promotions. Do not reveal anything about our multistarrer.”

Charan then revealed his reply to Rajamouli. “Sir, you have not told me anything about our movie yet. How can I tell anyone anything?” Charan then told his interviewer that he has not listened to the script yet and that they may reveal a few important details about the multistarrer in a press meet in a few months.

Just there are five more days for Ram Charan’s most awaited film “Rangasthalam” to hit the screens. Always for his films, there will be rumours about reshoots, length trimmings, scene cuttings and others. In that aspect, what is the situation of this March 30th release now?

Travelling through all the tough things, finally, Rangasthalam’s final output is locked a week ago. That’s the reason Ram Charan joked during the pre-release event that if Sukumar calls for a reshoot, he will wear a fake beard and turns up at the shooting. But the film’s output is locked and Chiranjeevi also gave a go for the movie’s final cut.

Latest update is that cinematographer Ratnavelu has completed the Digital Intermediate work of the movie where he colour grades the whole movie. Reports are coming that the final grade is awesome with Ratnavelu brand of colours though the film appears in warm tinted greens and browns most of the time, bringing that 80s village feels to the eye.

So literally there is no question of any adjustments related to trimming and cutting now, and the only thing is to export the film’s output to digital services once the Censor Certificate falls in hand. So the topic of Rangasthalam is over from the production side and the ball will land in the court of audiences soon.

If luck has played spoilsport in any heroine’s career, we have to say the name of dusky siren Regina Cassandra first. Despite being a terrific actress, curvaceous and hot looking, she didn’t get any big chances towards her way.

In the recent times, Regina showcased her maximum glamour in the movie “Nakshatram” and it took the tinsel town by a storm. But the bad performance of the film at the box office has slimmed her chances here. However, Regina’s hotness is the talk of the town as she enthralled on the silver screen with maximised ravishing looks.

Here in this picture, Regina once again oozed similar glamour to the core as she expressed terrific hotness along with hero Gautham Karthik through a romantic pose. That’s Regina in Bangkok, shooting for a romantic song, for the upcoming Tamil film “Mr Chandramouli”, which had Gautham and his dad, yesteryear hero Karthik, playing the main leads. Director Siva of Vishal’s ‘Indrudu’ movie fame is carving out this movie.

Even in Kollywood, Regina’s career hasn’t taken off yet to a high and this glamour treat might make her the next Trisha of the scene. Let’s see.

Other day actually it was supposed to be first ever public appearance of the Agnyaathavasi team at a film event after pulling out a mega debacle with that Sankranthi release. While both Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram are expected to sparkle at Chal Mohan Ranga pre-release event, the director’s absence is conspicuous.

Some insiders say that he wants to come out only after the completion of Jr NTR’s film. But with Trivikram producing this Chal Mohan Ranga and also being a writer of the story, one wonders why he didn’t turn up. However, there is another reason being heard from people close to him.

“If Trivikram comes to this meeting, he should either praise the film or he should shower those flowers on Pawan Kalyan. He has done similar stuff at Agnyaathavasi pre-release event also and after the film misfired badly he’s hurt emotionally. He didn’t recover from the blow. That’s why he doesn’t want to do that flattery until he scores a big hit with Jr NTR’s movie. He turned similarly after Khaleja’s flop show also” said a source.

Of course, any filmmaker will have ups and downs but the likes of Trivikram, Sukumar and few other directors seem to be very emotional. Let not these successes at box office affect their personalities.

A couple of days ago, Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s son is seen posing like Sound Engineer Chittibabu from the film “Rangasthalam”. Talking about that, his mother Sneha Reddy declared that the cute one is a hardcore fan of Cherry Mama. But how come the dress?

“One day Bunny called me to talk casual stuff. During that time he told me that he wants to send Ayaan to our home as he can’t bear the kid’s everyday routine of listening to Rangasthalam songs loudly. That excited me. Immediately I’ve got two pairs of Chittibabu like outfits stitched for Ayaan and sent it to him” said Ram Charan, explaining how Ayaan surfaced in that outfit.

Also, this episode shows how bonded Mega family is and how they will share that love for each other’s films. Bunny fondly called his son ‘Yenta Sakkugunnav Bey’ after seeing him in that dress. And Charan revealed that both Chiranjeevi and Allu Arvind are the anchors of the family, and keeps all the cousins united.

“We meet regularly at birthday parties, festivals and other events in the family. We discuss everything except cinema. We (almost eight actors) are closely bonded” says Charan, a bit proudly.

In a goof up, Janasena founder and film’s producer Pawan Kalyan, who attended the pre-release function of his own production venture Chal Mohan Ranga, claimed that a few students have “selected” for IITs “watching” his movies.

Pawan went onto state that he is “shy” and doesn’t like to be called as a “chief guest”. Pawan wished success for Nithiin, director Krishna Chaitanya, producer Sudhakar Reddy.

“When I was in flops, Nithiin and his father Sudhakar Reddy have approached me to launch the audio of his film Ishq. I was initially hesitant that even I was in flops and was apprehensive how it would help his film. But I agreed to go as I felt that Nithiin needed some moral support. Due to support of audiences, the film became big hit,” shared Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan hinted that he is producing films as ‘giving back’ to industry in his own way. Surprisingly, Pawan hasn’t raised Trivikram’s name who is also associated with the film and provided his story. Trivikram’s absence for the event also raised eyebrows. Nithiin said that he is fortunate to act his 25th film under the production of Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram.

Following the high profile weddings of Samantha-Chaitu and Anushka-Virat Kohli, and Shriya’s hush hush wedding, another celeb wedding is in the offing in May.

Top actress Sonam Kapoor, daughter of Anil Kapoor, will reportedly marry her boyfriend Anand Ahuja in Switzerland in the month of May. It will be a two-day ceremony to be held on May 11 and 12 in Swiss capital, Geneva. It is heard that it was Sonam’s decision to get married in Geneva since it is her favorite city in the world.

There will be sangeet and mehendi ceremonies, followed by a traditional Hindu wedding. Invitations for the guests have already been sent and it is heard that mass bookings for flights have also begun. This starry wedding is currently the talk of the town.

The 32-year-old Sonam has been dating Anand Ahuja for over two years now.

Trivikram Srinivas was lauded as one of the finest filmmakers in Tollywood. When the director associated for the third time with his close friend Pawan Kalyan for Agnyaathavaasi, everybody anticipated to watch the film.

Nonetheless, the film disappointed even Power Star fans and ended as biggest disaster in the actor’s career. Trivikram was blamed for the disaster result.Post release of Agnyaathavaasi, Trivikram avoided media and even stopped coming out for any movie related events. Few reported that, the director is in immense pressure and he’s stuck in bad emotions.

Interim, Trivikram was supposed to attend pre-release function of his A Aa.. hero Nithin’s latest flick Chal Mohan Ranga which was attended by his best pal Pawan Kalyan. Curiously, he skipped the event for unknown reasons.

Besides providing script, Trivikram also co-produced the film in association with Pawan Kalyan and Nithin’s dad Sudhakar Reddy.Although Trivikram is one of the key members, he is not fully prepared to face public for now since he is unable to overcome the grief.

Seems like, Trivikram took it as challenge to deliver super hit with his next film with young tiger Jr NTR. Hope, he will forget everything and focus on making this film as a wholesome entertainer.
