Jagan is Scared of Pawan Kalyan!

Share

Just hours after Pawan’s speech, YSRCP’s senior leaders have been chasing Pawan to support Jagan, YSRCP in the next general elections that are a year away. After YSRCP MP Vara Prasad’s claims that Pawan had already told him that he would support Jagan, Jagan’s close aide and YSRCP’s No. 2 leader (A-2) Vijay Sai Reddy on record requested Pawan to support YSR Congress Party.

“The responsibility lies on Pawan Kalyan to see that anti-government vote won’t get divided. So, I request Pawan Kalyan to consider this. Pawan’s allegations on TDP government are welcome,” said Vijay Sai Reddy.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sai Reddy has responded to the allegations of TDP that YSRCP is having a “nexus” with BJP as Vijay Sai Reddy is often meeting PM and PM is giving him his appointments to Vijay Sai Reddy.

“As a MP it is my duty to bring the issues to the notice of Prime Minister. I’m not doing any wrong like Chandrababu Naidu,” added Vijay Sai Reddy.

Meanwhile, Jagan, YSRCP are fearing to the core that whether Pawan would go to elections without having tie-up with them. If Pawan goes to elections along with BJP or communist parties without YSRCP, Jagan is scared that anti-government votes would further divide thus helping Chandrababu. This led YSRCP leaders to beg Pawan.

TDP Begins Poster War Against Pawan!

Share

Within hours of power star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan created a storm in the Andhra politics by launching a broadside against Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, his son Lokesh Naidu and his alleged corrupt government, the TDP leaders launched a massive counter attack on the actor.

On Thursday, the TDP leaders brought out a series of posters online questioning the propriety of Pawan attacking Naidu and the TDP at this stage.

The five questions in the name of common man read like this.

Question No. 1: As soon as CBN quit the BJP government at the Centre, you have come out to criticise him. Why?

Question No. 2: There was an IT raid at your place initiated by the BJP. You started attacking the TDP after that. What did they find?

Question No. 3: Instead of supporting the TDP in the battle against the BJP for special status, why are you weakening the movement with your political agenda?

Question No. 4: Why did you not utter even a single word against Modi and Amit Shah who are responsible for what happened to Andhra Pradesh?

Question No. 5: The larger conspiracy of the BJP is to join hands with the YSRCP and make fools out of the people of AP. Why are you part of it?

The questionnaire was also made in Telugu and is being circulated in the social media extensively to convey to the people that Jana Sena is part of the larger conspiracy hatched by the BJP and the YSRC to destabilise the TDP government.

What package you received PK: Motkupalli

As soon as Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan finished the Mahasabha speech on Wednesday, Telugu Desam Party and its leaders have launched a scathing attack on actor turned politician. Starting from TDP cabinet ministers to media in-charge people, everyone started to attack Pawan Kalyan for his ‘baseless’ allegations on IT Minister of state, Nara Lokesh.

The long list of TDP leaders who took swipe at Pawan Kalyan includes Telangana TDP member Mothkupalli Narsimhulu, who recently caused a flutter by suggesting that TDP should merge with ruling TRS in Telangana state. Reacting to blusterous speech of Pawan Kalyan, Motkupalli said ‘Pawan do not have any values to comment on Chandrababu Naidu and TDP.’

Directly pointing to Pawan, the TDP leader questioned- ‘You have praised Babu for past 4 years and even during your last month visit to Rayalaseema, you appreciated the governance of Babu. Suddenly, what package you received in the meantime to launch an attack Chandrababu? As a movie actor, you learned to act for a producer who offers you more and similarly, which party has produced you to speak against TDP now?’.

‘You brother Chiranjeevi widely campaigned in state, but his party just won 18 seats. And if you contest in coming election, you may not be able to even gain 8 seats. Do not assume that all the people at your gathering will vote you, because they came to see you as a cinema star. Can you furnish proofs on Lokesh-Sekhar Reddy link?’ – criticized the TDP leader by warning Pawan Kalyan that ‘politics is not a cinema to act’.

The Telangana leader also demanded Pawan to disclose how many crores Prajarajyam earned from MLA and MP candidates during 2009 polls. ‘He had set up the party to question, but I am questioning you to reveal how much package you received to attack Chandrababu Naidu,’ Motkupalli shot at Jana Sena chief.

Finally, reacting to comments made by Pawan on why government schemes were not named after previous CMs Sanjeevaiah and Gouthu Lachanna and why only NTR, Motkupalli said ‘they are great leaders but NTR is a true legend who brought social revolution.’

TDP to say bye-bye to BJP on Friday?

Share

It looks like the time is up for the Telugu Desam Party to continue its reluctant friendship with Bharatiya Janata Party.

According to sources, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister will say bye-bye to the alliance with the BJP on Friday. His party is likely to pull out of the National Democratic Alliance once and for all.

Naidu called for an emergency meeting of the party’s politburo at his Amaravati residence on Friday evening to take a call on snapping ties with the BJP. He will convey the same to the Delhi later in the evening.

The TDP had already withdrawn two of its ministers from the Narendra Modi cabinet – P Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Y S Chowdary last week, in protest against the injustice meted out to Andhra Pradesh in the Union budget and also non-implementation of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, including granting of special category status to AP.

Though he wanted to continue in the NDA for obtaining the maximum benefits, he is not able to do it, as the Centre has rejected his demands including railway zone for Vizag and granting of viability gap funding for the petro-chemical complex at Kakinada.

But, the immediate provocation for Naidu’s decision was the outburst of actor-turned-Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan against him, his son and the TDP at the Guntur public meeting on Wednesday night.

In his teleconference with the party MPs in the morning, Naidu suspected that the BJP top leadership could be behind the actor’s aggressive attack on the TDP government.

YSRC gives notice on no-trust motion in LS

Share

As announced by YSRC Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, party leaders in Delhi on Thursday issued a notice to Lok Sabha authorities seeking to move the no=confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government on March 16.

Though the YSRC first announced that it would serve notice on the Speaker’s office on March 21 for moving a no-confidence motion against the Centre on special category status issue, the party had to advance it by six days in the wake of reports that the Parliament might get adjourned much before the original scheduled date of April 5, due to continuous stalling of proceedings by the MPs demanding special category status.

In his notice to Lok Sabha secretary general Snehlata Srivastava, YSRC member Y V Subba Reddy said he was giving the notice to move non-confidence motion against the Central government under rule 198 (B) of Chapter XVII of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha.

He appealed to the secretary general to include the no-confidence motion in the agenda of the Lok Sabha on March 16.

Rangasthalam Audio: Rustic, Robust And True To Its Theme

Share

After launching first three songs from Rangasthalam as lyrical videos on YouTube, makers have launched the remaining two songs with the jukebox.

The much awaited item song from Rangasthalam is out now. The song that goes Jigelu Rani has been shot on Pooja Hegde and it doesn’t get immediate attention like DSP’s previous hit item numbers.

The song has that rustic feel to it as DSP deliberately gives ‘recording dance’ touch to it. We can expect the visuals to pack a punch with Charan and Pooja dancing to Jaani Master’s choreography.

DSP scored yet again with the choice of singer. Ganta Venkata Lakshmi brings that authentic feel to the song.

Other song that is out now is Aa Gattununtava which sounds like a folk number. Singer Sivanagulu did a fine job in rendering it in a free flowing style.

It is a situational song that clearly indicates that it comes during the election campaign of Aadhi Pinishetty, who is playing a wannabe politician in the film.

Other three songs that were launched before are already topping the charts and definitely the better ones compared to the item number and Aa Gattununtava. It is one of Chandra Bose’s finest works who doesn’t use a single English word and takes care about the wordings with typical Godavari slang.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music remains true to the film’s theme. Instruments used and the orchestration are straight out of an eighties film.

Rangasthalam is a fictional village set in 1985 on the banks of Godavari. So DSP and Chandra Bose came up with a rustic album that elevates the theme.

The album on a whole may get mixed responses from the listeners, but it will get its due identity for being different from the pack.

If Pawan Needs 2 Acres, Why Not Capital in 33,000 Acres?

Share

Sharply reacting to Pawan’s blistering attack on TDP, TDP MLA Peethala Sujatha has given a befitting counter. “Pawan is questioning why AP’s capital city needs 33,000 acres? I want to understand what is wrong in having large land for capital when Pawan and his small family alone need 2 acres near capital city,” questioned MLA Peethala Sujatha.

Chintalapudi MLA Peethala Sujatha didn’t stop there. She asked Pawan Kalyan to first question his own brother Chiranjeevi who has “sold” his PRP to Congress and buried the hopes of the fans, youth, people who had trusted Chiru. Sujatha also asked Pawan to blame his brother Chiranjeevi first who had remained “silent” in Congress when the state was divided unilaterally. “First you question your brother,” said Peethala who stated that political count down for Pawan has begun.

Demanding an unconditional apology from Pawan for his “baseless” allegations against Lokesh, Chandrababu, Sujatha said that Pawan has “spoiled” his “value” in the eyes of Chandrababu.”CM garu has given utmost value to Pawan. Whenever he has picked up any issue, CM garu responded immediately and made sure it is resolved in time. Even after giving such high priority, Pawan has crossed his limits and gone overboard,” Sujatha remarked.

TDP has taken offence to Pawan’s personal comments. TDP leaders continue to attack Pawan, Janasena verbally. It needs to be seen what is in store for Pawan, Janasena.

Discussion: No Camera Talents In Tollywood?

Share

These days many Telugu films are looking quite stronger due to some terrific visuals and we have to appreciate the job of cinematographers in that connection. But more and more the trend is becoming like noted Bollywood and Tamil cameramen are taking the big pie here like the way our heroines do.

In the recent times, many heroes, star directors and producers are bringing some costly cinematographers from Bollywood who have worked on pretty big projects. Ayanaka Bose of Judwaa 2 and Zero fame filmed Allu Arjun’s DJ Duvvada Jagannadham. TV commercials fame Rishi Punjabi cranked the camera for Sarrainodu and Jaya Janaki Nayaka. All of Sukumar’s movies including Rangasthalam are shot by Ratnavelu only and upcoming biggie like Sye Raa has him in the seat.

Other happening cinematographers are: Mohana Krishna of Rambo Rajkumar and Force 2 fame is the cinematographer for Raja The Great. PS Vinod did work on Oopiri and Dhruva recently. Trivikram brought Manikandan for Agnyaathavasi, Natraj Subramanyam (Natti) for A..Aa. Even Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa was supposed to be shot by CK Muraleedharan of 3 Idiots fame but later he was replaced. Buzz has that Mahesh’s next under Vamsi Paidipally direction will be canned by KU Mohanan of Raees fame, while Bharat Anu Nenu has Ravi K Chandran and Tirru cranking the visuals.

All these talented cinematographers are non-Telugu guys and they charge more than one crore for their work. That brings to a discussion if there are no camera talents in Tollywood. In fact, there are many Telugu folks who are doing the fantastic job already.

Prasad Murella’s terrific visuals shot for Attarinitki Daredi and S/o Satyamurthy, Chota K Naidu’s interesting commercial blocks in Jai Lav Kusa, Sameer Reddy’s awesome visuals in MCA, Vijay C Kumar’s fantastic blocks in Fidaa, Sai Sriram’s lovely work done for Chalo and Karthik Ghattamaneni’s work in Awe are quite appreciable.

But why cinematographers from other tinsel towns and states are getting the big offers and also a fat paycheck? Some say very strongly that they are more talented than our guys, while few say that their experience and exposure is richer than our local talents.

However it looks like to make sure that a film gets big satellite price, our makers are bringing all these pan Indian and big Bollywood names. May sound little uneasy, but that’s true.

In Talk: Rajamouli Added Pluses To Himself

Share

Every day interesting discussions take place in Film Nagar on the current happenings. Other day during a regular tea break in the evening, few bunch of people are busy appreciating Rajamouli for his intelligent move where he added pluses to himself by picking up Ram Charan and Jr NTR for his next.

Their discussion seems to be very different from what usually one would say. “If Rajamouli has gone ahead to make a movie with Mahesh Babu or Allu Arjun, then people would appreciate those heroes saying that Rajamouli has no option in hand rather going to them after delivering a big film like Baahubali. But bringing Charan and NTR together is like making the impossible true and that added pluses to his side not to either Charan or NTR”, their analysis read.

Forget about picking a particular hero, but the project of Rajamouli that is coming after Baahubali should have a special kick. Working with any single hero will not give such kick expect fans claiming that their hero is the best option such that Rajamouli picked him. So he made a great move by coming up with a multi-starrer idea.

Any other multistarrer would have sounded as flat as possible with many heroes joining hands these days very comfortably. So a Mega and Nandamuri multi-starrer adds that pluses, stars and vibrations to all the thoughts. Superb Rajamouli!

Pawan Told He is Ready To Support YS Jagan – YCP MP

Share

A day after fireworks against TDP and maintaining pure silence against BJP, YSR Congress MP Varaprasad claimed that Janasena and YSRCP will forge an alliance demanding the Special Category Status. Varaprasad claimed that Pawan has telephoned him and asked him to meet and told him that he would like to support YSRCP in the next general elections.

“Pawan Kalyan garu had called me and asked me to meet him. When I met him, he had asked me that why YSRCP leaders are making allegations against him. I had explained him that it was because of his support to TDP, YSRCP is cornering him. But Pawan told me that he is no longer with TDP and is ready to support YSRCP,” YSRCP MP Varaprasad told media.

These remarks of YSRCP MP have added fuel to the ongoing speculations that Pawan and Jagan would join forces especially after Pawan’s speech at Jana Sena Maha Sabha has a lot in common with Jagan’s public speeches. All these indicate that YCP MP’s claim has some base.

In addition to it, both Pawan, Jagan have not made any strong comments against BJP who has been delaying, denying Special Category Status. Without criticizing BJP, Modi, one doesn’t understand how Janasena, YSRCP could bring the Special Category Status to AP.
