Last Sunday (March 11th), we have a popular TV channel airing super hit film “Srimanthudu” for the nth time. And that gave rise to some doubts about the upcoming “Bharat Anu Nenu” as the teaser and feel it generated are looking more similar to this previous film delivered by Superstar Mahesh and Koratala Siva combo.

Of course, from the tucked-in look of Mahesh to the way some shots are canned, both Bharat Anu Nenu and Srimanthudu are carrying that uncanny resemblance. As that social-message film worked out big time, it looks like this duo is delivering another such message on the same lines. But if this film is also in the same metered, then audiences might feel it like a rehash, isn’t it?

But this Srimanthudu hangover could not be true, as Koratala Siva is said to have given a complete makeover to Mahesh’s characterisation in this new film. While in Srimanthudu he requested people to take up adoption of villages, but now, he will be fighting against the rulers and establishment for the sake of people. So the whole dimension is changed.

Though Mahesh hasn’t changed his looks to a larger extent, the film’s content might project him in a new avatar for sure. Currently shooting for songs in Hyderabad, soon the unit will fly to London to wrap a short schedule.

Milk Beauty Tamannaah is undoubtedly one of those fast-fading star heroines we have to say as the new brigade is giving her tough competition. Despite such dry position, still, she has some tempting projects in hand, thanks to her sexy looks and sizzling moves in spicy costumes.

As per the latest updates doing rounds, she is reportedly finalised for Anil Ravipudi’s next film  F2 (Fun and Frustration) where she’s likely to share the screen with senior hero Venkatesh. Surprisingly Tamannaah so far worked with almost young actors, who are of same age, say Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and Sandeep. But now she’s gearing up to romance senior actors like Venkatesh, who is double of her age. While Tamanna is 28 now, Venky is 57 years old.

Other senior starlets like Shriya Saran and Kajal are few such stars who shared screen space with actors much elder to them and now Tamannaah joined the list in Tollywood. Earlier she acted with Akshay and Ajay Devgan in Bollywood who are also almost double her age.  Apart from this F2, Tamanna will be seen in Kalyanram’s Naa Nuvve and Bollywood’s sensational film Queen remake.

Coming to F2, it is one of the much-awaited multi-starrer that features Venkatesh and Varun Tej and is likely to hit the floors from the month of April. At present, the team is busy with finalizing the cast and crew. Well, we have to wait and see how the on-screen chemistry of Tamannaah and Venkatesh allure the audience.

The super success of Baahubali made Prabhas a pan Indian star and that’s the reason he’s carving out “Saaho” slowly as the film should meet all the expectations. But if we have to go by reports, Prabbhas is not even fully believing his director if some reports are to be considered.

A report in an English daily has shocked not just Prabhas fans but also other movie lovers. According to them, Prabhas is not leaving everything fully to director Sujith who is just one film (one hit) old. He’s involving himself in everything from choosing particular blocks to okaying shots. He’s being assisted by cinematographer Madhie as well in handling the direction.

As there are rumours earlier that Madhie has this habit of half-directing films and his inputs played a big role in the output of Mirchi, it seems like he’s doing same for Prabhas yet again. But the team of Saaho is writing off these rumours saying that Sujith is carving an extraordinary product and he’s given a free hand over everything.

Featuring Shraddha Kapoor as the leading lady, “Saaho” is being made in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously, and will have a Malayalam and Tamil release as well.

“Kirrak Party”, a college backdrop romantic entertainer is all set to release this Friday. Taking all the positive factors into account, the film has good chances of scoring at box office.

First of all, the youth-targeted film is the remake of a blockbuster Kannada film. The film has reportedly been remade with subtle changes, to suit the sensibilities of Telugu audiences and without losing soul of the original.

Audiences are hungry for good films because of the theatre bandh and lack of any decent film for past few weeks. If Kirrak Party gets even decent talk, it can take advantage of the dry period. The film anyway has the advantage of being the first notable release after theatre bandh.

Makers played a safe game by selling the theatrical rights for a very recoverable price, around 10 Cr. Nikhil’s films can do around 15 Cr business if they get hit talk, and even his flops collect about 7-8 Cr. So, there is no big target for the film.

Nikhil has huge confidence on Kirrak Party. He believes that it could become another ‘Happy Days’ kind of success for him. Hence, the young hero is actively promoting the film, taking it into youth by visiting selected colleges across the twin Telugu states. These promotions will surely come handy.

All these factors put together, Kirrak Party has good chances to strike gold at box office.

Seems like newfound stardom is working out with many youths voting for “Arjun Reddy” of Tollywood in a big way. In the annual Most Desirable Hyderabad Man contest that will be conducted by a leading English daily, now this guy has beaten the who is who of Telugu Film Industry.

For 2018, Hyderabad guy Baseer Ali who happens to be a contestant of MTV Roadies and Splitsvilla has emerged as the Most Desirable Man. He’s followed by Vijay Devarkonda at the No.2 position giving a shock to many Tollywood heroes. We have Baahubali Prabhas at No.3 slot, followed by Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan at 4th and 5th positions.

Despite being a newcomer in the industry, beating Prabhas who has pan-Indian appeal is a big thing for Vijay. Also topping up Mahesh Babu whose charisma is unlimited and has no looking back as a brand ambassador is crazy. At the same time, despite having a terrific mega fanbase, Ram Charan ended up only at a 5th place giving way to his junior and seniors.

But the only thing lacking in Vijay for the now is a proven market potential because all the other Telugu heroes in the Top 5 are capable of spinning 50 crores with ease at the box office while this youngster is still in 20 crore range only.

The Top 10 list includes Baseer Ali, Vijay Devarkonda, Prabhas, Mahesh, Charan, Allu Arjun, Rana, Rohit Khandelwal, NTR and Nani.

Rumors are galore about Sai Pallavi, the young heroine who stole the hearts of millions with her performance in ‘Fidaa’, say she is indisciplined, troubles producers, headstrong, has affair with a married hero etc. Some say that she is intentionally being targeted by a section in the Telugu film industry.

Sai Pallavi has become a star in very short span, even without acting opposite star heroes. One can’t imagine what heights she can scale if she acts opposite the established star heroes.

This superb talented actress is known for working on her own terms, she doesn’t looks for big directors, producers and heroes but only care for her role. If the character offered isn’t good enough for her, she would reject however biggie it is. She would even question the makers if they don’t film what they had narrated to her.

Some vested interests, who didn’t like this nature of Pallavi, started speculating that she was headstrong and indisciplined. It seemed as an agenda-based malicious campaign to bring bad name to the ‘Fidaa’ actress and take offers away from her. Link-up rumors with heroes also originated in this vein. For the record, no emerging actress had to face as many speculations as Sai Pallavi did.

Sai Pallavi on the other hand is unperturbed of all these speculations, and is concentrating only on her career.
