1 Paisa Relief on Petrol Price: Twitter ‘Petrolls’ Modi
After 16-day continuous increase in the raise of fuel prices, Indian Oil Corp’s (IOC) has reduced ‘1 paise’ giving a ‘relief’ to people. Initially, IOC website had shown the fall as 50 to 60 paise per litre, that it later retracted to 1 paisa saying that it was a “technical glitch”.
While the price was increased nearly Rs 4 per litre during May 14 to May 29 with an average increase of 15 to 30 paise daily, the reduction of 1 paisa invited severe wrath of people. Netizens, Twitterati ‘petrolled’ Modi.
Starting from Opposition Congress to several parties and Chief Ministers of Punjab, Kerala have criticized the move to cut down 1 paisa. While Kerala CM has announced a cut of Rs 1 per litre on the tax on fuel, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh described ‘1 paisa’ reduction of fuel price as a cruel joke.

Nag’s Reaction on Allegations & Rumours!
Responding to the ‘copy’ allegations on his forthcoming film Officer, Nagarjuna has clarified that the film is based on a real-life person and it cannot be copy of any other story or anyone’s work.
When asked about the rumours that the film is a ‘free’make of Hollywood flick Taken, Nag quickly said that the law will take its own course if there is any such legal issue in the film.
Ask him whether Nag had questioned Ram Gopal Varma about his controversies or his tweets. Pat comes reply from Nag. “During the film’s shoot, the only conversation between RGV and Nag is about our film. Nothing more or nothing less. I never intruded into RGV’s personal space or never did he. Even I never let anyone tell me what I should do or what I should not do. In fact, I don’t even tell my children Chaitu or Akhil to be certain way.”
Agreeing that he is doing more films than his grown up sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil, Nagarjuna said that Chaitu is telling him that he is doing more films and he need not worry since he is well-established than Chai.
“Chai and Akhil are more choosy. They are very conscious about their films. At this juncture of career, I could select any role or any experimental film since I could survive a flop and could work for my next unaffected. For them, it takes time,” shared Nagarjuna.
Currently working on his ongoing multi-starrer with Nani, Nag revealed that it is going to be out-and-out entertainer as the film is between a Mafia Don and a Doctor. Nag said he has big line up of films that he needs to confirm the order. He says he is mulling over to sign Mohanlal and Priyadarshan’s Kunjali Marakkar, a film based on the life of a 16th century Muslim naval chief Kunjali Makkar IV. It is likely to be Priyadarshan’s most expensive film and Nag has been asked to play a crucial role in the film.
Meanwhile, Nag is also in talks with actor Dhanush’s directorial which he wanted to make for his father-in-law Superstar Rajinikanth and his political debut.
Two Big Forces Forcing Rajnikanth To Stop??
What’s happening with Superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film “Kaala” which is pending a release from a time. Despite fixing June 7th as a release date, it looks like two big forces are going to stop the mighty hero from going ahead.
Reports have that Censor Board is having some issue with the Hindi version of the movie to go ahead. As the film deals with politics based out of a Mumbai slum, it looks like ruling BJP sarkar is unhappy with the film’s content as Rajni took a political plunge as well into Tamilnadu politics. If that is Hindi version, then Kannada version is not going to see light as the distributors took a call to not release movie owing to tensions between two states over Kaveri issue.
If political force is the first big thing that is posing as a major hurdle for Rajni, the second one is the age-old creature, the mighty dinosaur. Recently the release date of Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom has got advanced by a day in India, and the film is now hitting cinemas on June 7th. Nearly 2300+ screens are going to screen the movie in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and English versions across the country. Some distributors are said to be requesting Rajni to defer the release at least by a day such that Jurassic World will not dent Rajni’s collections.
Though Superstar has the big advantage over Dinosaurs, as his craze is pretty big than any other star, he should at least overcome Censor hurdles to get Kaala bang on target. Let’s see what happens.
#SyeRaa Failing To Use Nayan’s Dates??
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most awaited project “Sye Raa” is the one keeping fans on toes as the film’s shooting is progressing at snail’s pace. Though the shooting is to resume from June 4th, fans are wondering as to why there are no updates coming from the production house.
An interesting buzz is happening in Film Nagar that the unit of the film is not properly utilising the dates of top stars including that of Nayantara. With almost four projects in hand, she’s one of the busiest actresses down south at the moment with immense stardom. But we hear that she’s kept in the wait for weeks, with shooting not taking off.
We hear that after completely Ajith’s Viswasam shooting that took place in Hyderabad a couple of weeks ago, Nayantara has waited for a week for Sye Raa team to call her for the shooting. Bored with the waiting, she left the city to Chennai, to take care of other works. One wonders why director Surender Reddy is not planning schedules in a proper way.
However, Nayantara has allotted dates once again for Sye Raa from June 4th as the shooting is going to start. We hear that she wants to finish this film without any issues as the project is close to her hearth. Because, this project helps her complete the rare opportunity of working with all superstars of the south including Rajnikanth, Mammootty and now Chiranjeevi.
Vaitla’s Special Care On ‘AAA’
Director Sreenu Vaitla has teamed up with Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja for ‘Amar Akbar Antony.’ This film is being completely canned in the United States and accordingly Vaitla is using high-end technology for the shooting.
‘Amar Akbar Antony’ is the first Telugu film to be shot on Red Monstro and Zeiss Supreme Lenses. The film will have two different seasons of the US and to enhance the visual experience, Vaitla has come up with his thought of using new tech stuff.

Spotted: Irrfan Khan watching Test Match at Lords
Versatile actor Irrfan Khan was not seen anywhere recently, after he wrote a letter to all revealing about his rare disease. According to earlier reports, the actor has been getting treated for the rare disease and no news is heard about him off-late. All of a sudden, a photographer at Lords stadium, while the test match between England and Pakistan is going on, spotted Irrfan khan in the gallery!!

‘He’s My Brother, I’m Not Dating Him’

A small action might lead to big destruction and that’s what happened other day with producer-director Karan Johar, who is well known to Telugu audiences after he distributed Baahubali and impressed with his speech at the pre-release event.
Other day India’s ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra posted a picture where he posed with Karan Johar and wished him on his birthday. He stated that theirs is 25 years of friendship and wish that it will continue for twenty-five more. And when a netizen commented that these two are ‘cute couple’, Manish liked that comment. There started the rumours.
In no time, it broke out that Manish Malhotra and Karan Johar are dating each other. Though they haven’t officially confirmed any time about their sexual orientation, owing to ban on them in India, the two many times clarified that they are happy with men. And now, that’s the reason people think that they are a couple.
Manish, however, clarified that these rumours of dating are actually hurting and Karan Johar is just a brother to him. “He’s like my brother. We are good friends. There is no such thing called dating. I’m really hurt by such rumours” he said, in a statement to a leading media house. That puts everything at rest.
KCR Is Not Leaving NRI Farmers Too!
Already, KCR’s brainchild initiative, ‘Rythu Bandhu Pathakam’, has become an instant hit among farmers of Telangana. While the scheme is primarily aimed at land-owning (not tenants) farmers, under the ‘Rythu Bandhu’ scheme, an Agricultural Investment Support Scheme, all the land-owning farmers get Rs 4000 per acre along with renewed passbook.
The government is providing 58.33 lakh farmers, Rs 4000 per acre per season to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi and kharif seasons. This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, wherein the cash is paid directly.
Based on the measurement of land, the officials of Telangana state have already prepared cheques in the names of land-owning farmers.
But here is the twist in the tale. While most of the land-owning farmers have already availed the benefits, 5 lakh NRI farmers are said to be left out. Responding to this, CM KCR has stated that 5 Lakh NRI farmers will also be paid. He said the cheques issued in the names would soon be changed in the name of their family members here. KCR said that the whole idea of implementing Farmers’ Investment Support Scheme (FISS) is to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi and kharif seasons. He opined that the land-owning farmers from Telangana might be staying abroad, but said they are Telanganites and would pass on the benefit.
KCR said that the state government would start its next round of distribution of passbooks and cheques to farmers before June 2nd. He said many farmers are voluntarily returning cheques to state government and appreciated them for their noble act. KCR, however, directed the officials to deposit them in the bank account of Rythu Samanvaya Samithi. He said many donors have given lands to government and he asked officials to construct Rythu Vedika in the donated lands.
KCR has praised Agricultural Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and described him as “Lakshmi Putrudu”. “Ever since he took over as Agricultural Minister, state government is taking several welfare schemes of farmers. Agriculture in Telangana is progressing,” said KCR who added that the farmers of Telangana would soon become richest in the country.

The first look of successful hero Nikhil’s upcoming movie will be out on June 1st. The makers of this film have released on the pre-look posters that has the tagline ‘Pen is mightier than the Gun.’
The film is based on the backdrop of journalism and Nikhil will be seen in the role of a journalist, Arjun Suravaram. The plot of the film stresses more on the current issues and how media is responsibily acting accordingly.

Recently a report has emerged that Geetha Arts is coming up with a multi-starrer movie featuring Sharwanand, being directed by Srikanth Addala. A rumour has come out that Sai Dharam Tej is brought onboard to play the brother of Sharwa in this drama of siblings. Though the name of Sri Vishnu is heard earlier, Geetha Arts is said to have felt that bringing another hero of same stature to Sharwa will make the project bigger.
We have seen how things worked when Sharwa and Naresh joined hands for “Gamyam”, so even this film would get superior hype if Sharwa and Sai Dharam combination hits the floors. But now some snippets are coming out that this is not happening and director Srikanth Addala is tweaking the script to suit Sharwa and Sri Vishnu. But what could be reason Mega Menalludu is not doing this film? Meanwhile, Geetha Arts is likely to produce Saidharam’s next that is likely to be helmed by Chalo director Venky Kudumula.

Won’t Invite My Family: Pawan On Charan Joining Janasena
Last week, Ram Charan pleasantly surprised everyone when he said that he will be ready the next moment if his uncle Pawan Kalyan asks him to campaign for Janasena. In a recent interaction with a news channel, Pawan opened up about his doting nephew’s gesture.
“Basically, I never ask anyone from my family to join Janasena or campaign for my party. If anyone comes forward to join the party willingly, I will advise them to rethink their decision several times. Politics need a lot of commitment. Everyone in my family are leading a peaceful life. As a well wisher, I don’t want to spoil their happiness,” said Pawan Kalyan.
