Day 2 Gives Huge Shock to Agnyaathavaasi Buyers?

Share

When buyers invested exorbitant sums for the theatrical rights of Pawan Kalyan’s “Agnyaathavaasi”, they were confident of PK-Trivikram combo and the lucrative Sankranthi festival season. They thought that collections will be very good in the first week, and land them almost in safe zone irrespective of the talk. But, they have received a huge shock as the film reportedly took a nosedive on the second day itself.

Going by trade reports, after collecting non-Baahubali 2 record 40 Cr share worldwide on the first day, Agnyaathavaasi has witnessed huge drop in collections in the morning and matinee shows today. Generally, collections remain low before the festival but buyers thought PK-Trivikram combo is an exceptional case. However, giving a massive shock to them, the collections today are reportedly very ordinary, both because of pre-festival effect and below par talk. Even hardcore fans of Pawan are staying away from theatres.

Tomorrow, two biggies – Balakrishna’s “Jai Simha” and Suriya’s “Gang” are getting release. If at least one of them receives good talk, it would be a further blow to Agnyaathavaasi and its buyers who are still optimistic of a surge in collections in the next couple of days.

Agnyaathavaasi needs to recover another 85 Cr for break even, so if the film doesn’t hold its ground, it would be a repeat of Mahesh babu’s “SPYder” scenario.

Exclusive: Don’t Believe Rumours On Trivikram!!

Share

Despite getting a flop talk on the first-day first show, Agnyaathavaasi managed to get around 39+ crores share on First Day from the worldwide box office. At this point of time, it became a talk of the town because it highlights Pawan Kalyan’s star stamina and crowd-pulling range.

Quite surprisingly however, Trivikram has become a target of many rumours that are erupting in the aftermath of this bad talk on the movie. One such rumour reads that the talented magical writer-director has left a theatre midway while watching the movie. Is there any truth in this?

Naturally many directors and heroes visit various theatres in Hyderabad, starting from Cross Roads theatres to Prasad Multiplex and others, on the release day. So Trivikram might have visited a theatre to check response and after 30 minutes he might have moved out to check another theatre as well.

A source close to the director who is travelling with him other day confirmed the same. “After watching the film for 30 minutes at Sandhya theatre in RTC X roads, Trivikram and producer came out and reached Prasad Imax to check the talk there. How come that will be presented as Trivikram left the theatre because he felt sad? Already they have watched the film numerous times and they need watch it with audiences for 2 hours again, isn’t it?” the source avers.

Anyway, it looks like Agnyaathavaasi talk made Trivikram an epicentre of many rumours.

The United States has advised its citizens to ‘exercise increased caution’ while travelling to India. The State Department, on Wednesday, issued a new travel advisory for several countries including India, and placed countries from Level 1 to 4.

Level 1 – Exercise normal precaution

Level 2 – Exercise increased caution

Level 3 – Reconsider Travel

Level 4 – Do Not Travel

The US govt. said that the new travel advisory has been issued in order to provide citizens with clear, timely, and reliable safety and security information worldwide.

India has been ranked Level 2, i.e. the US citizens are advised to ‘exercise increased caution’ when they travel to India. However, they are asked by the govt. not to travel to Jammu and Kashmir (except for eastern Ladakh and Leh), and also not to go within 10 miles of the India-Pakistan border.

“Indian authorities report rape is one of the fastest growing crimes in India. Violent crime, such as sexual assault, has occurred at tourist sites and in other locations. Terrorists or armed groups are active in east-central India, primarily in rural areas. Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets/shopping malls, and local government facilities,” the new India travel advisory said.

Ranking Pakistan on Level 3, the State Department advised Americans to reconsider travel to this country due to terrorism.
