Two Directors Gave Big Shock To Pawan’s Friend
Entrepreneur, software firm owner, US-returned Ram Talluri, who is Pawan Kalyan’s close friend, has seen two back-to-back setbacks as producer. Known as soft and good in film circles, Ram saw huge losses with his first two production ventures.
While the first being Chuttalabbayi of actor Aadi and director Veerabhadram Chowdary (of Bhai fame), the second is the latest Ravi Teja and Kalyan Krishna Kurasala’s Nela Ticket.
Aadi’s Chuttalabbayi incurred losses and the film is written off as disaster. Beating the first disaster, now Nela Ticket turned out to be bigger disaster. Although Ram owns several properties and still has big monies, after all, a loss is a loss.
Many in industry are talking about him and how he was ‘misled’ by the two directors. Let’s hope he will soon get good filmmakers and bounce back.
Don’t Play With Venkateswara Swamy – Babu Warns Modi
In a sharp attack on Narendra Modi, Chandrababu Naidu alleged him of conspiring to encroach Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the board which control’s India’s richest temple. Naidu alleged that as part of Modi’s conspiracy, the false propaganda is being carried out over the jewelry, ornaments of Lord Balaji. He further said that the Centre has tried its best to bring the TTD under the archaeological department.
Cautioning that no one who played with Lord Venkateswara prospered ever, Chandrababu cursed them saying they all will pay huge cost in the present birth itself.
Blaming BJP for raising regional disparities between people of Andhra and Rayalaseema, Naidu said BJP tried to create disturbances in the name of ‘Rayalaseema Declaration’. Naidu alleged that BJP has taken back the money it had allotted for the financially backward regions of AP.
Fuming Naidu questioned Narendra Modi of going back on his promise of Bundelkhand-type financial aid to AP. He opined that the scenario of AP today would had been much better had the Union Government functioned well or had it cooperated with AP. He said BJP and Modi betrayed AP and entire nation. Naidu questioned the decision of the Centre to extend Special Category Status to 11 other states while the Special Category Status was denied to Andhra Pradesh after promised by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the floor of the house. Speaking at Mahanadu, Naidu explained in detail how BJP cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandrababu also attacked Opposition leader and ‘power-hungry’ Jagan Mohan Reddy. Naidu said YSRCP is backing BJP for its personal gains to overcome the cases Jagan is facing from the Central agencies such as CBI, ED. Chandrababu alleged that BJP is provoking political parties against him. He enthused confidence saying that TDP will bounce back in 2019 and regain power. He said the people of AP has huge trust and confidence on his government.

Agnyaathavasi, Linkups, Pawan, NTR: Trivikram Opens Like Never Before
Director Trivikram rarely interacts with the media and whenever he does, there’s a lot to look forward to eagerly. The writer-director opened up about his professional and personal lives like never before in a latest interview given to a leading Telugu daily. Here are some interesting tidbits from the interview:
“We’ve sold Agnyaathavaasi for 90 crores. The film made 60 crores from the box office. Pawan Kalyan garu, Producer and I have paid them back 25 crores within 1 week of release as the result is imminent. That doesn’t mean we are great people or best citizens, but we did what we have to” said Trivikram, speaking to a leading daily today.
“Pawan Kalyan is a great man and good friend of mine. I wish him all the success in his endeavours. He’s of the mindset that one should not celebrate at the expense of others. That’s why we have made sure that Agnyaathavsi distributors will not get losses” said Trivikram, adding the Powerstar angle to the whole happening.
And then the director went on saying that Agnyaathavasi has disappointed him a lot. “It will be unfair if I say that the film’s result didn’t affect me. It did. I’m working with more care, discipline and passion now. I’ve poured similar efforts for A..Aa and now I’ll pour more efforts for Aravinda Sametha too” he added.
Pregnant Woman Gangraped By 3
A 23-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly raped by an auto driver and his two accomplices in Manesar, police said today. The incident occurred on May 21 when the victim, who is six month’s pregnant, was going for a routine check-up at a hospital in Manesar with her husband on a bicycle, they said.
While the couple was returning home, the woman complained that she was uncomfortable on the bicycle. The woman’s husband told her to take a shared auto to reach home in the nearby village. But she did not return until very late, say reports.
The victim and her husband filed a complaint at the Woman Police Station, four days after the incident, police said. The woman, in her police complaint, stated that she boarded an auto and was offered some water by the auto driver, following which she got unconscious and was later raped by three persons.
The victim hails from Bihar and stays in Manesar with her husband and her minor son.
“A case of gang rape was registered at the Women Police Station, Manesar, against unknown persons. Doctors, however, said the foetus is stable,” said senior police officer.
Kalyan Can’t Escape This Time!
Director Kalyan Krishna Kurasala have escaped failure narrowly with his last film Ra Randoyi Veduka Chuddam. Even his maiden film Soggade Chinni Nayana had clicked at the Box Office, all thanks to Nag’s charm and his new demeanor while the film didn’t have nothing new then. Sankranthi holidays too helped Soggade to did wonders at the BO despite clashing with other biggies then.
However, his latest outing Nela Ticket has got unanimous negative reviews. Beaten-to-death plot, lack of novel scenes, lazily written script, bad direction resulted in a weak product like Nela Ticket. Except Ravi Teja’s high-energy levels and good production values, glam show of heroine, nothing has worked big in the film forcing audiences to look at nearest exits.
Industry murmurs have it that Kalyan can’t escape this time.

Tollywood Lining Up For The Big Exam
With the end of May, we could say that almost the whole of Summer season is over. From June 1st, schools and colleges are being reopened and that changes the total dynamics of how films run at box office. And to welcome this new season, some interesting movies are coming.
On June 1st, we will be witnessing the release of Ram Gopal Varma and Nagarjuna’s Officer. As this duo earlier delivered an iconic film like Shiva, there are some expectations on their new venture, though the trailer hasn’t lived to the hype. And on the same date, in the first week, we also have Vishal’s dubbed movie Abhimanyudu and Raj Tarun’s yet another hype less movie Rajugadu hitting the marquee.
Red Star Dies In Hospital
Madala Rangarao, who is well known for revoluntionary films aka Erra Cinema, has breathed his last today at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He had been critical for weeks due to heart-related ailments. He was put on a ventilator.
He was known as Red Star. He started his career with a satirical film Chairman Chelamaiah. He also founded his own banner and produced films on Navataram Pictures.
He produced Yuvatharam Kadilindi which saw Murali Mohan and Raadhika in the lead roles. The film had won two Nandi Awards – Nandi Award for Best Actor (Prabhakar Reddy) and Nandi Award for Second Best Feature Film as producer (Madala Ranga Rao). It’s no less achievement. Madala Ranga Rao’s filmography includes Swarajyam, Erra Mallelu, Mahaprasthanam, and Praja Shakthi, Maro Kurukshetram, Erra Suryudu and Erra Pavuralu to name a few. He acted and produced in films.
“My films do not spread the naxalite ideology. They are aimed at bringing about social change,” he was quoted as saying in one of his old interviews. Tollywood and political fraternity are paying last respects to the Red Star.
Balayya Turns Producer For His Fav Director!
The combination of Simha and Legend will be back very soon. Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu will soon be joining hands for a powerful film and the film will be bankrolled by Balayya himself. Balayya, who is venturing into production with NTR Biopic, will also produce a film with Boyapati. This untitled film is expected to be launched formally on June 10 on the eve of Balayya’s birthday.
Currently, Boyapati Sreenu is directing Ram Charan’s film after which he is expected to begin his next with Balayya. Meanwhile, producer C Kalyan, who scored a hit with Jai Simha, is also planning a film with director VV Vinayak and Balakrishna. However, the story is yet to be finalized. Balayya hasn’t given his nod to a story hired by Vinayak. Once it is locked, this film will also begin.
The films are expected to hit the marquee before 2019 polls. The much-awaited NTR Biopic produced by Balayya is likely to be directed by Krish, of Gautamiputra Satakarni.
