Veedevadra Babu! Cult PK Fan La Vunnadu!!

Share

Apparently, the young kid, a white Polish guy from London is taking Telugu internet arena by a storm. His name is Zbigniew A. Chertlur, the 7-year-old kid Polish kid, has other day elated into the air after Pawan Kalyan replied to his rendition of Kodaka Koteswara Rao song.

Cut to reality, Zbigniew, who is fondly called as Poland Bujji by Telugu cinema lovers, has now come up with a Pawan Kalyan anthem. Today after he released the teaser of this anthem, PK’s fans went into a state of excitement. But looking at this young kid’s dedication to Pawan, they are commenting, “Veedevadra Babu, Manaki ante Cult PK fan la vunnadu”. (What’s this kid, he looks like a hardcore fan than us).

While this youngster used to sing songs of many other Telugu films, of many Telugu heroes, now that he’s getting huge attention through Angyaathavaasi, he seems to be sticking to Pawan Kalyan only. One many wonders why this Polish boy living in London has so much love for India and Telugu. In reality, he happens to be a boy of Indian origin with his father Sharat Chertlur being a Telugu guy from Andhra Pradesh. His mother Ursula Elzbieta hails from Poland. That’s the connection, got it?

Trivikram Meets Telangana Minister! Whats Up?

Share

With “Agnyaathavaasi” release around the corner and trailer of the film not yet releasing, there is a buzz that director Trivikram and his producer S Radhakrishna are under huge pressure. But there seems to be something else going on as they met a minister today.

Both Trivikram and Radhakrishna met with Telangana cinematography minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today. An official comment about this meeting is that they have met the Minister to invite him for a special preview show of Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi. But in reality, there seems to be something else.

With High Court giving permission for ticket hike, almost all the single-screen theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad are now charging exorbitnation ticket prices. In most places, already advance booking is happening with each ticket priced at 200 rupees. So what is that issue Triivkram wants to discuss with Telangana minister now?

We hear that Trivikram and Co want the premiere shows of Agnyaathavaasi to be screened from the midnight of January 9th across Hyderabad and other Telangana towns. For that reason, they are said to have met the government’s representative to get a permission. We have to see what happens.

Who’s Delaying Agnyaathavaasi Trailer?

Share

With hardly four days left for the theatrical release of Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated film, “Agnyaathavaasi”, fans, media and buyers are anxiously and angrily waiting for the release of trailer. Everyone is clueless and shocked as never in the modern history of Telugu cinema that the trailer of a biggie hasn’t been released even four days before theatrical release.

The buzz in inner circles is that the copyright notice sent by T Series has totally disrupted the plans of makers. Reportedly, T Series, which claims to have owned the Remake rights of French film, “Largo Winch”, accused the Agnyaathavaasi makers of unauthorized copying of the film’s story. Surprisingly, the makers of Agnyaathavaasi haven’t yet responded to the plagiarism issue even though the speculations are doing rounds at large.

It is heard that the copyright issue has forced them to delay the release of trailer and promotional activities, allegedly in order not to invite more trouble. Reports suggest that makers are optimistic of putting an end to the controversy today and release the trailer thereafter, at 6.30 this evening, most likely. The 10-second TV promos may also be aired from this evening.

Meanwhile, the film is set to have a massive worldwide release on January 10.

Another World Record for Baahubali 2

Share

We have seen trailers and teasers racking up millions of views but here is the stunning feat of an Indian movie page clocking millions of views and standing atop in the world. And, unsurprisingly, the film is, “Baahubali”, the Telugu magnum opus carved out by Rajamouli.

According to the official data about last year’s top 25 most-read articles on Wikipedia, Baahubali secured the top rank among the entertainment category and 11th rank overall, i.e. Baahubali 2 is named the world’s most viewed/read movie page on Wikipedia in 2017, racking up more than 14 million views. Its been about eight months since the film’s release but the national and international honors keep coming in.

No other Indian film made it to the Top 25. Pages listing Bollywood films released in 2017 and highest-grossing Indian films also featured in the 25 most-read articles on the website. The most read article overall was “Deaths in 2017”, with 37 million page views. It was followed by a page on American President Donald Trump.

Baahubali Producer’s Next, ‘Baahubali + Arundhathi’

Share

Baahubali is the film that put Telugu cinema on the world map. Anushka’s “Arundhathi’ was a sensation of last decade. How about if a project has the shades of both the aforementioned films?

Actress Sanjjanaa has claimed that her new project, being bankrolled by ‘Baahubali’ producer Prasad Devineni, is a combination of Baahubali and Arundhathi. Its a high budget TV serial that features her as a warrior queen. She pointed out that her character is similar to Prabhas’ in Baahubali as she plays a powerful woman warrior in the serial that has a historic fantasy theme. She claimed to have taken nearly a month to learn horse riding and sword fighting.

“My dream has come true with this project as I have always wanted to play a role similar to ‘Jejemma’ character in Arundhathi,” Sanjjana reportedly said with excitement. She added that Yaata, who has worked with K. Raghavendra Rao for years, is the director of the serial. The ‘Bujjigadu’ actress elaborated that nearly 400 people had been working every day on the sets, and that the TV serial’s budget is higher than that of any of the films she has done earlier.

Catherine Finally Bags a Solo Heroine Film!

Share

Despite being blessed with sufficient acting potential and sumptuous looks, Catherine Tresa somehow stereotyped to second fiddle characters in Tollywood. She has acted in quite a few biggies such as Iddarammayilatho, Sarrainodu, Gautham Nanda, Nene Raju Nene Mantri etc. but in all of them, she played second heroine. Now, Catherine has finally bagged a solo heroine film.

She will play the solo female lead in the Telugu remake of hit Tamil film, “Kanithan”, a taut investigative thriller. She was the heroine in the Tamil film as well, and has been retained for the remake, to be directed by T N Santosh, the same director who made the original.

Young hero Nikhil will play the hero. Allu Arjun and Ravi Teja were in discussions to act in the remake at one point, but Nikhil came on board after the duo rejected the film. Interestingly, Nikhil’s soon to be released film, ‘Kirik Party’, is also a remake, of a hit Kannada film.Starring Nikhil and Catherine in lead roles, the remake of ‘Kanithan’ will be officially launched on January 19. The makers haven’t made any significant changes to the script.

Pawan’s Satires on Mudragada?

Share

A day after Kapu crusader Mudragada Padmanabham took a jibe at Pawan Kalyan by saying that he doesn’t know him and he doesn’t know who are the Kapu leaders sailing with Pawan & Janasena, here comes Pawan’s early morning tweets that indirectly took a dig at caste and division.

“The rise of caste division, caste polarisation & the power politics played around is truly alarming. It will not only hit the economic progress but also it will do irreversible damage to our society and to the collective psyche of our society,” Pawan wrote.Pawan further said that a senior jounralist has greeted him today with a quote that reads as, “Those who cannot defeat you character-wise, will attack you on the basis of your caste, race and wealth.”

Needless to say that these are Pawan’s indirect satires on Mudragada and other people who use caste as a tool get mileage, especially in the present-age politics.

I’m for Andhra, Don’t Worry – Modi Tells TDP MPs

TDP MPs have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and given a special representation to the PM over the problems, difficulties being faced by the new state of Andhra Pradesh. TDP MPs reportedly told Modi that it would be difficult to face people in the next elections without keeping promises.

Since three and half years are already over and just one-and-a-half year left, TDP MPs asked Modi to do ‘justice’ to AP. From here on, Saturday will be a Biryani day

After private entities stepped into the education industry, the whole concept of ‘schooling’ has changed. Government schools, which once were the breeding grounds for great scholars and eminent personalities, have become the abode of education for the poor and underprivileged students in the present world.

Students in government schools often come from a background, where their parents go to work as a daily-labours. It is not surprising to know; few parents send their children to government schools solely because they get a good meal, thanks to the ‘mid-day’ meal program, apart from schooling.

Adding to the mid-day meal program, the Telangana Government announced that from here on, (veg) Biryani would be provided in Government schools every Saturday. According to the new proposal, the students would be served different kinds of Biryani; Peas Biryani, Chickpea Biryani, and Soybean Biryani, on every Saturday in the month.

The government already made clear about its initiatives in government schools. ‘Given the student’s background, we are trying our best to give them nutritious food, along with competitive education. We also introduced long grain rice in the mid-deal meal program. Improving educational infrastructure is also a part of our plans’, said an official from the Education Department.
