Another Mother Promoting Her Hot Daughter
Late actress Sridevi tried her best to promote her kids Jhanvi and Kushi whenever time has permitted, to see them as big heroines. From taking them to events, walking alongside biggies at various places, Sridevi did many things. Finally, she got the Sairat remake ‘Dhadak’ for her elder daughter. And now, here comes another such mom.
Today it happens to be the birthday (May 22nd) of Shahrukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and more than anyone her mother Gauri is pretty excited about this. And she shared a couple of pictures of her daughter, where the 18-year-old is looking too adorable and hot as well. And with the photos shot by a top fashion photographer of India, one could understand why Gauri is getting all these things done.
Unlike a Sanjay Dutt or Amir Khan’s daughter, SRK’s daughter is looking forward to debut as a lead actress on the silver screen. And with the backing of whole industry around her, it will not be a tough task for sure.

Nagarjuna Turns Nostalgic On ‘May 23’
Currently enjoying his vacation in Croatia and other eastern European countries, King Nagarjuna wants to come back home and promote “Officer” during its release time. But before that, he turned nostalgic on the date “May 23” and revealed an interesting thing.
“I sometimes wonder if it is a coincidence or the universe likes numbers. My father’s LAST film Manam & my FIRST film Vikram released on the same date May 23”, he says, recalling the beautiful film that legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao was last part of. Saying that ANR lives on, he added, “It’s been four years since #Manam released. I have been thinking of how you made us cry, laugh and finally inspire the family to face life and death!!”
On that note, Nagarjuna revealed another trivia: “Reverse 23 and that becomes 32! My age as an actor” he adds. Celebrating the fourth anniversary of “Manam” movie, Annapurna Studios has also released an unreleased poster of the movie.
Meanwhile, Nagarjuna is waiting for Ram Gopal Varma’s Officer to hit screens and he pinned many hopes on the film. That coming from the duo that delivered “Siva”, naturally the hype will be high, but we have to see what happens at the box office.
#SterliteProtest: Most Horrifying Picture Ever
A picture speaks 1000 words and this particular picture is speaking words beyond any expressible limits of a human brain. A heart-rending one we have to say as the death toll in Sterlite Protests that is shaking Tamilnadu’s Thoothukudi region and this picture will not fade away anytime soon.
While 10 protesters are shot dead other day, even on Wednesday morning firing has happened, where reports say that one person is dead. And that picture shows how police personnel are standing over a truck and posing like a specialist sniper camping in Iraq or Syria to gun down terrorists.
Despite the fact that Tamilnadu CM Palaniswami ordered for a special inquiry by a retired judge regarding the police action that took place at Thoothukudi, still, the unrest around the premises of Sterlite are not coming to a still. What’s more brutal is that police are climbing tempo travelers vans like commandos with assault rifles in hand and trying to murder the protesters.
There is neither a warning, nor tear gas usage, nor firing water cannons, but directly police resorted to firing that too not below the waist as per the rule and codebook.

Rare Moment: Anti-Modi Forces Share Same Dais
JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy took oath as the 24th chief minister of Karnataka this evening. The new CM’s swearing-in ceremony was a grand affair as all the who’s who of the Indian political spectrum, except of course the BJP, descended on same dais.
In a rare moment, more Indian political leaders like Congress’ Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, SP’s Akhilesh Yadav, AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, CPI(M)’s Sitaram Yechury, NCP’s Sharad Pawar raised hands at the Vidhana Soudha, where Kumaraswamy took oath.
Almost all the leaders who took part in the swearing-in ceremony are in an effort to unite against the Narendra Modi-led BJP government in the centre. Interestingly, most of these leaders have been political opponents since ages, but it looks like their detest for Modi has made them join hands and come under one roof for what seems to be a dramatic 2019.
Anasuya Turns Emotional With Fans Gift
Men love her, women envy her, directors praise her, fans salute her and she is none other than Anasuya, the heartthrob of millions of Telugus.
From being an anchor to becoming a performing artiste in the films like Kshanam and Rangasthalam, she has made a mark for herself with her talent and hard work. We see many of her fans trying to woo her on twitter with their word play. She too is patient enough to reply to many.
Keeping that aside, now we are talking about a talented painter who has become a hardcore fan of Anasuya. He is Anish Penti, a Fine Arts student who also worked in the art department of Mahanati recently. Anasuya’s cousin Vaishnavi Khasba took a painting of Anasuya drawn by Anish Penti to gift her on her birthday. Anasuya received the painting and moved emotionally, as per sources.
The inscription on the painting is “Ammaloni Kammadanam Nuvvu”. This speaks how respectfully Anish Penti adores Anasuya. Yes Anasuya! you are lucky to have fans like these and we are lucky to have you.
TDP Is Second Richest Regional Party In India
No other regional political party in India is as stronger as AP CM Chandrababu led Telugudesam Party when it comes to yearly revenues. In what is being seen as a shocker by analysts, the party fetched an income of 73 crores for the financial year 2016-17 while it made only 16 crores in 2015-16.
A report released by Association of Democratic Rights (ADR) on Tuesday revealed the income and expenditure of regional parties. While Samajwadi Party has earned 82 crores, TDP stood second to it with 73 crores income. What is more wondering is that almost 60 crores of Telugudesam party’s income have come through party membership fee, while rest money is by voluntary donations.
As per the audit report submitted to Election Commission, TDP mentioned that Ambica Agarbathi group is their biggest donor. If we look at other regional parties pertaining to Telugu state, TRS has shown a downward trend as their income is 3.79 crores this financial year against 8+ crores last year. MIM has an income of Rs 7.4 crore.
While all the above parties are spending only 30-40% of their income, it is YSR Congress party whose spendings are pretty high while their earnings for last financial year are close 94 lakhs only.
Kumaraswamy Ane Nenu…
Ending days of political drama, Kumaraswamy sworn in as the new chief minister of the Karnataka. Kumaraswamy was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Vajubhai Vala at a grand ceremony in the Vidhana Soudha complex, the seat of power in Bengaluru. The Governor also administered the oath to state Congress chief and prominent Dalit leader G Parameshwara as the deputy chief minister.
Other members of the council of ministers will be inducted after the Kumaraswamy government wins the Confidence of Motion on Friday. Dressed in the traditional “dhoti” and white shirt, Kumaraswamy took the oath in the name of God and the people of “Kannada Nadu”.
Heavyweights Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, BSP chief Mayawati, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI leader Suravaram and socialist leader Sharad Yadav have attended.
The show of strength by a galaxy of national leaders and regional satraps is being seen as a strong signal to the BJP about the possibility of formation of a broad-based front to take on the BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha polls next year.
Meanwhile, the BJP boycotted the ceremony and observed a “Black Day” during which it held statewide protests against the new coalition government, which it called “unholy”.
Family Hides Son’s Death From Dattanna Till Morning
Unexpected tragedy struck former union minister and BJP’s Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya. The politician’s 21-year-old son Vaishnav Bandaru died of heart attack last night. Vaishnav complained of severe pain in his heart while having dinner at 10:45 pm. He was immediately rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last at 12:30 am while undergoing treatment.
Dattanna, as Dattatreya is fondly called by everyone, is heartbroken over the sudden passing away of his young son. Apparently, family members didn’t inform Dattatreya about Vaishnav’s death till today morning.
Dattatreya was informed about son’s death only after he woke up this morning at around 5 am. Dattatreya is 70 years old and his family members didn’t want to reveal the tragic news, keeping his old age in mind. Vaishnav was a 3rd year MBBS student. His last rites will be performed this evening.
Vijay Sai Reddy Abuses Police!
Crossing all sorts of limits, A-2 Vijay Sai Reddy made serious and personal allegations against the police officials in Vizag who tried to stop YSRCP’s rally that doesn’t have a prior permission.
While YSRCP under the leadership of Vijay Sai Reddy attempted to do a rally against Chandrababu Naidu’s Dharma Porata Sabha that was held against the ‘Betrayal – Conspiracy Politics’ of the BJP. This is raising several eye balls as YSRCP is responding instead of BJP.
If this is not enough, YSRCP attempted to do ‘cleansing’ of the venue of Dharma Porata Sabha of Chandrababu. Learning about the YSRCP leaders plan, cops intervened timely and tried to stop the YSRCP leaders as it may lead to fight between two groups – YSRCP and TDP and may create a law and order situation. But countering cops, Vijay Sai Reddy made personal abuses and alleged police of acting in favour of the ruling TDP.
Alleging police of being biased, Vijay Sai Reddy told police through media, “First tear your uniform, take off the symbol of Lions (State Emblem) and go wear a yellow dress (TDP uniform) and work for them.”
These are very serious comments coming from a Rajya Sabha MP on government officials. Many are finding fault with the YSRCP leaders who are creating drama and unrest in Vizag to grab the attention of media and taking dig at the state government employees.
Meanwhile, many analysts are finding it difficult to understand the logic behind YSRCP countering TDP’s fight against the Centre. So, it is yet again proved that YSRCP is clearly acting as a B-team of BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
Mahanati proved everyone wrong
Before the release of Savitri’s biopic Mahanati, everyone in the industry, including the industry veterans, trade analysts and even movie buffs, predicted that the film may not collect beyond 20 crores.
They thought that a ‘different’ film like Mahanati may receive critical acclaim but the positive reviews will not transform into box office collections.
But Mahanati proved everyone wrong. Thanks to the stupendous word of mouth, movie buffs thronged Mahanati theaters in large numbers and made the film a humongous blockbuster. Starting from day one, Mahanati ran to houseful collections even on weekdays. With no new releases, Mahanati has had a fabulous second week at the box office.
On Monday, Mahanati entered the Rs 30 crore worldwide share club. The film collected over Rs 8 crore share in Nizam and pocketed Rs 2.25 crore in Uttarandhra. In the Ceded region, Mahanati collected Rs 1.7 crore share and another Rs 5 crores from the rest of the two Telugu states and Rest of India. In the USA, Mahanati has grossed nearly USD 2.33 million and is inching closer to the USD 2.5M milestone.
Mahanati’s Tamil version ‘Nadigaiyar Thilagam’ is performing quite well and collected nearly Rs 2 crore share. The film’s theatrical rights are valued at Rs 20 crore. While producer Ashwini Dutt had sold off the film’s rights to nominal rates in some areas, he has released the film on his own in many centres. With the satellite rights yet to be sold off, Ashwini Dutt is expected to pocket around Rs 15-20 crore profit in the end.
