Another interesting character from Natural Star Nani’s debut production venture ‘Awe’ has been unveiled. Its Bonsai (a tree grown in container). Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja will be giving voice over to this tree.

Introducing the ‘Tree’, makers captioned it, “Introducing Mass Maharaja Ravi TejAWE, a Tree that’s got Swag in ‘Awe’.

Earlier, makers have introduced the character of a ‘fish’ which will play a key role in the film. Nani himself will lend his voice for the fish. Nithya Menen, Regina, Avasarala Srinivas, Murali Sharma, Kajal Aggarwal and a few other noted actors are playing crucial characters in the film.

Dil Raju was once popular for churning out films with content. He was known as producer with good taste as films have had good content. He has produced several critically acclaimed films as well as commercial successes. But it is all gone. That phase is passe.

If one closely observe his recent productions, all of them merely run on the combinations. He picks up a director (who obeys him) and works out a combination with a popular hero, heroine who has good market. Once the film roll on, Raju knows who to cash it. He sells off the distribution rights of most of the regions and keeps only a few areas for himself in which he has complete command on theatres.

Going by his recent productions, it is obvious that Raju has switched his style of work from ‘content’ to combinations just like most of the other producers in the film industry.

Especially, in 2017, only Shatamanam Bhavati and Fidaa are conceptual films backed with good story. The rest of his productions (this year) have an age-old story and that is reworked with different cast. Be it Nenu Local or DJ or Raja The Great or the latest MCA, the stories have been as old as hills.

Industry folks opine that ‘Bommarillu’ Dil Raju is missing. Even Raju has fallen into the numbers game and leaving content to the second. These days, Raju openly saying that he is not bothered about what critics say and aver that what matters to him all is the Box Office figures. Tollywood is certainly missing ‘Bommarillu’ Raju.

In Bollywood, even if the film is made on 5 crores budget, they spend just 15 crores for promotion. That’s how a film will be injected into masses and they will turn up in theatres. But Tollywood goes by hero’s image and all, thereby spoiling opening collections.

Cut to point, with Sunil in the lead, director-producer Shankar would have expected huge openings for ‘2 Countries’. But in reality, the film’s promotion saw Sunil alone and that didn’t work with audiences. At a time when the trailer got applause for the presence of a lovely heroine, shouldn’t they bring her to promotions or not?

On the day of release, 2 Countries got entangled with negative talk and almost the talk got spread in all centres. And now, the makers have brought NRI Telugu girl Manisha Raj to promote the film. A wrong time indeed! If this bubbly beauty is here a week earlier, then the openings would have got better. Well, the girl scored zero marks in acting, that’s a story for another day. But now that the film had negative talk already, her presence only proves that they are forcing the film hard on audiences.

Trade experts are saying that director-producer N Shankar will lose a huge chunk of investment with 2 Countries. Hope the loss will be minimum!

Nandamuri Balakrishna is all set to hit cinemas in the next 14 days as his 102nd film “Jai Simha” is up for a release. On January 12th, the mass superhero will unveil his lion avatar yet again for Telugu audiences and his fans.

Going by the pictures of the film, and the number of heroines present, in all ways this film sounds like a rehash of Balayya’s very own blockbuster “Narasimha Naidu”. Here are few reasons being raked up by movie lovers, which indicate that this could be a Narasimha Naidu like film.

In his mass role, Balayya is actually seen holding a baby boy, like the way the dance-master character has an infant son in Narasimha Naidu. Already it is publicised that Nayanthara is a heroine in the flashback like Simran in that B Gopal directorial. And then we have Hari Priya and Natasha Doshi filling the shoes of Preeti Jhangiani and Asha Saini, with each getting a song as well. These coincidences are making many feel if KS Ravikumar is making the newest version of Narasimha Naidu with a different setup.

Sources in the unit are however saying that Jai Simha will have a different subject altogether with Balayya styled masala elements. In two more weeks, the feast will be unleashed.
