But shockingly, the woman MLA received the same treatment from the lady constable. She was taken back after the lady constable retaliated in the same manner. Â Indian National Congress President, Rahul Gandhi took part in a meeting in Shimla. MLA Asha Kumari, who was at the event, tried to go near Rahul Gandhi. A lady constable stopped her due to security reasons. Venting out her anger, MLA Asha Kumari slapped the lady constable, only to receive the same treatment. The lady constable retaliated by slapping the MLA.

Surprisingly, the MLA came to terms after calming down and apologized the lady constable. In between, Asha Kumar is the niece of former Himachal Pradesh, Veerabhadra Singh.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s master plan of inviting Karnataka Transport Minister H M Revanna to the Golla Kuruma meeting in Hyderabad on Friday has dealt a big psychological blow to the Congress party in the state.

It is not known whether Revanna knows the Congress party is the main rival in Telangana which is making all out efforts to come to power in the next elections, but he definitely caused a big embarrassment to his own party by showering praises on KCR for constructing buildings for Golla and Kuruma communities.

Revanna lauded the decision of KCR to distribute sheep among the shepherd community.“Telangana has also created history by giving 24-hour power supply to the agriculture sector. The Chief Minister has a single-point agenda, welfare of the people of the State,” he said.Taking strong exception to Revanna’s praises on KCR, All India Congress Committee general secretary in-charge of Telangana R C Khuntia wondered how a Congress leader could praise KCR, a political rival of the party.

“This will demoralise the Congress workers in Telangana, who have been fighting relentlessly against the TRS government.
I will lodge a complaint with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and also ask Karnataka minister Siddharamaiah to sack him from the cabinet,” Khuntia said

The multi-purpose Polavaram project on Godavari river has plunged into yet another crisis with Transstroy India Ltd, the main contractor for the prestigious Polavaram project, has virtually turned bankrupt.The Canara Bank on Friday filed a petition before National Company Law Tribunal, Hyderabad asking it to declare Transstroy as insolvent and initiate the process for winding up of all its business activities, auction its properties and repay the dues to the banks.

The corporate branch of the bank at Secunderabad filed the petition stating that Transstroy had defaulted loans to the tune of Rs 725 crore taken from the bank in various forms. Similar petitions against Transstroy filed by various banks are also pending in the tribunal.This would mean Transstroy has been delaying the construction of Polavaram because it has no money. It has not been clearing its payments to sub-contractors as well, as a result of which they stopped work.

While Andhra Pradesh chief minister is struggling to secure funds from the Centre, the contracting firm successfully diverted all its money and has now turned bankrupt.Now, it will give an opportunity for Naidu to bring pressure on the Centre to give permission to go for fresh tenders for spill way and other works. Since Transstroy has no money, the Centre will have no option but to permit the fresh tenders.

Jagan’s right-hand man, his personal auditor, his party’s Rajya Sabha MP V Vijay Sai Reddy’s closed-door meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday has shocked many including BJP’s ally partner TDP.

During the tea-break (11.30 AM) of Winter Session of Parliament yesterday, Vijay Sai Reddy has met Modi personally in his chamber and discussed on various things for over 30 minutes. It is learnt that the conversation was primarily about AP politics. Also, Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra has also said to have come for the discussion. This sudden meet raised many eyeballs in the political circuits.

Given that Vijay Sai Reddy is the second accused (A-2) in all the cases booked (in connection with quid pro quo) by the Central Bureau of Investigation against Jagan, Modi’s meeting with Vijay Sai Reddy is drawing severa flak from several quarters. With Modi has been maintaining that he and his government are dead against to corruption, his meeting with an A-2 Vijay Sai Reddy may put him & his party in a tight spot.

Amidst growing proximity between BJP and YSRCP, the meeting of Vijay Sai Reddy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is certainly adding fuel to the ongoing speculations that both BJP and YSRCP may join forces in 2019 general elections. TDP MPs, leaders are yet to react on Modi’s meet with Vijay Sai Reddy. It needs to be seen how TDP will respond on this and how BJP would defend.

State governments implement various welfare schemes with the support from the Centre. Rarely, we find a state government taking the initiative and implementing all by itself. It is also hard to find any politician who is ready to sacrifice a cabinet ministry. Especially when someone like Rajnath Singh, Minister of Home Affairs offers the same. But One CM did that!

Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony of the Yadav – Kurma Bhavan in Kokapet, RR District, TS CM KCR shared an interesting conversation he had with Home Minister Rajnath Singh.’I shared with Rajnath Singh that the Telangana government is giving Rs. 8,000 as input subsidy [per acre] for farmers. He raised doubts about how the farmers would pay back the Rs. 8,000. After I said, the farmers need not return the subsidy given by the government, Rajnath Singh stood up from his chair, after being shocked.

Rajnath Singh asked me to actively take part in national politics, for which I told ‘I would spend my entire life to serve my state, Telangana,’ said KCR.KCR is known for implementing various welfare schemes for farmers and BPL families, like Sheep Distribution Scheme, Asara welfare scheme and KCR Kits. He is often hailed by his party members for his sensational decisions on implementing various welfare schemes.

None other than India’s Vice President Venkaiah Naidu was ‘duped’ by a weight-loss pill ad. This was admitted and revealed by Naidu himself.Sharing his personal experience that how he lost Rs 1230 for weight loss pills, Vice President Venkaiah has asked the Union Government to take steps to curb the menace of misleading and fake advertisements.

“Soon after becoming the vice president, I came across an advertisement for a medication which promised to help lose weight in 28 days. I talked to a few people. But they said this was not true. Then I saw the advertisement, which mentioned that the consumer needed to pay Rs 1,230 and I made the payment,” Venkaiah Naidu said in Rajya Sabha on Friday. What Venkaiah further said was rather shocking and surprising.

Venkaih added that he has received a packet which asked him to pay Rs 1,000 more to get the “original medicine” , instead of receiving a package of the pills.
