Ravi Teja’s next release will be Nela Ticket. Soon, he will join Sreenu Vaitla’s Amat Akbar Anthony in the USA. The Mass Maharaja also has a movie in Kandireega director Santhosh Srinivas’ direction. Both the movies are being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the banner that recently scored a blockbuster with Rangasthalam.

In an exclusive update, we have learnt that Ravi Teja is being paid a whopping amount for his 2-film deal with Mythri Movie Makers. Apparently, Ravi Teja had quoted 20 crore as his remuneration for Sreenu Vaitla’s and Kandireega Srinivas’ movies.

However, the makers at Mythri Movie Makers have sealed the deal for a huge 16 crores, which means that on an average, Ravi Teja will be paid 8 crores per film. This is undoubtedly the best deal for Ravi Teja, who had given a disaster with Touch Chesi Chudu.

Deadpool 2: Ranveer’s Cursing In Hindi, Ryan Responds

Share

Sonam’s Pre wedding festivities took over the internet, but still Ranveer’s cursing in Hindi managed to find the needed space with Dealpool 2 trailer.

Ranveer dubbed for the famous Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2 Hindi version and looks like he enjoyed and outdid Ryan in cursing. He tweeted about his fulfilling and rewarding feel for being the Indian counterpart of Ryan, after he got a chance to out-crass the original Deadpool.

Witty Ryan too joined the funny tweet conversation saying that his cursing in Hindi would be an international incident. Well, what Ryan said is very much true and let’s enjoy our Ranveer’s voice for foul mouthed Deadpool 2 this time!

NTR And Chay, Is That Really Important?

Share

Apparently, director Nag Ashwin says that he can’t imagine any other actor playing the role of legendary NTR other than Junior NTR. And for that reason, he opted for a digital creation of NTR when Junior declined his request to do so. Coming to ANR’s role, he got Naga Chaitanya onboard to play the part.

This revelation is actually leading to a discussion of sorts, on what basis, the casting of actors should be. When a girl like Keerthi Suresh, who is not even a Telugu by birth or conviction, is playing the role of Savitri, why can’t other actors who look close to NTR and ANR play that part?

Even when Sir Richard Attenborough made ‘Gandhi’ movie, he didn’t look for someone from Mahatma’s family to play their relative’s role, but he chose a white actor Ben Kingsley to depict the life of greatest ever brown man. When that could happen, definitely we could bring talented actors into the shoes of NTR and ANR.

Tomorrow with Balayya making NTR biopic, Akkineni family giving thought about ANR biopic though they don’t have immediate intentions and even Mega family might consider locking Chiranjeevi’s cinematic journey into a two-hour drama, definitely, the question of the hour is why only one’s own family members should play the part of their ancestors.

Confused Taxiwala Quits From The Race

Share

Looking forward to consolidating the success he scored with “Arjun Reddy”, now young dynamite Vijay Devarkonda pinned all of his hopes on “Taxiwala”. But the film’s teaser and trailer haven’t generated huge attention and that is where the team is in confusion.

Forget about the attention and hype that Taxiwala promos created, but a good release date will bring the expected openings. Though promised as an early May release, later May 18th is fixed as film’s date. But now this date is said to be choking the makers as they can’t find enough gap to promote their film big way.

With the likes of Mahanati (May 9th), Mehbooba (May 11th), Jambalakidi Pamba (May 17th), Nela Ticket (May 24th), Officer (May 25th), Naa Nuvve (May 25th) and Rajugaadu (June 1st) around, surely every film out there has to work hard to get enough attention. Without revealing any reasons, now Taxiwala has dropped from the race, as per reports.

We hear that Geetha Arts camp is looking forward to a lonely date that will give them at least two weeks of breathing space at the box office. And with Vijay out the race, we’ve to see who will make out of the group attack in May. Every project sounds interesting on its own, by the way!

Talk: Struggling Heroines Demanding IPL Tickets

Share

Getting attention is the major factor that any actor/actress looks forward to. Luckily for hot sirens, they get invited to various events and their name does round all the time, which eventually helps them get offers.

The latest craze in Tollywood is all about attending IPL matches that take place in Hyderabad. Regular cricket lovers like Venkatesh, Suresh Babu and Sumanth always sizzle at these matches and make their presence felt. These days, some young heroines like Deeksha Panth and Manali Rathod are also attending the matches to cheer for the local team, Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Some insiders revealed that many other struggling heroines are now demanding IPL tickets, that too in the front three compartments, of the celebrity wing, such that they will get huge photography covering. They are making a point that attending IPL is the latest prestigious thing here.

That said, appearing at IPL matches will beget them a couple of more such events but not film offers. To succeed in films, one should improve their acting potential and give a strong audition.

Farmers’ Passbook Printing A Big Scam?

Share

The Telangana Congress party on Monday alleged that the printing of pattadar passbooks to be issued to farmers smacked of a big scam worth over Rs 85 crore.

According to TPCC president Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy, the government had entrusted the job of printing passbooks to preferred private printers at a rate of Rs 160 per passbook, though the state-run security printing press had come forward to do it for just Rs 50.

“When we questioned the same in the assembly, KCR said the passbooks would be of waterproof quality and they were tamper proof. But the passbooks now being issued to farmers are neither water proof nor tamper proof. Moreover, he said there would be 26 features in the passbook, but they have been reduced to 18 features,” he said.

Uttam alleged that even the printers who had absolutely no experience and were blacklisted in other states, were given the contract for printing passbooks.

“The government security printing press at Mint Compound, which has four printing units has been ignored.

The general manager of the government press wrote a letter to the state government that the printing of passbooks by the private presses was faulty and that the state press would not take any responsibility if there was any goof-up in the work.

He also said the government security press was withdrawing from bidding,” he said.

Even in the distribution of passbooks, the government had totally bungled.

“First, the chief minister said the passbooks would be distributed from January 26. Later, he said he would invite President of India or Prime Minister for the distribution on March 11. But now, they say it would be done on May 10,” the PCC chief criticised.
