After Aarya, Allu Arjun never risked signing a project with a new director. Finally, he had made a brave move by signing writer Vakkantham Vamsi’s directorial debut film ‘Naa Peru Surya’.

While Vamsi has immense experience as a writer, he was a total novice in the field of direction. This made Allu Aravind wary and he had advised Bunny to shoot a few test videos to understand Vamsi’s directorial skills. However, Bunny assured his dad and told him that he has complete confidence in Vamsi and even gave his director a free hand.

Naa Peru Surya released on Friday and the first thing everyone noticed was Vamsi’s inexperience handling of the proceedings. Even though the look of the film had a stylish appeal, Vamsi failed in maintaining the mood and tempo throughout. He only concentrated on projecting Bunny’s character and ignored the rest.

In the process, rest of the characters had a lackluster impact and the emotional conflict had fizzled out completely. Critics panned the movie for its one-dimensional appeal. The only saving grace was Bunny’s power-packed performance. However, it was Allu Aravind’s fears that came true in the end.

Sometimes acting with a top hero lands the career of an actress or a character artist into a plethora of opportunities. But sometimes, even star heroes fail to give such breaks to some actors.

Ever since the release of “Naa Peru Surya,’ it is being talked that our beloved #AA, Allu Arjun, has filed to give a blockbuster boost to other two As. While his previous film DJ Duvvada Jagannadham made Pooja Hegde a super starlet with just one bikini act, this present film didn’t get such acclaim to Anu Emmanuel. Had the film got a blockbuster talk on Day One, Anu’s fate would have changed big time. Though she has interesting films lined up with heroes like Naga Chaitanya, a blockbuster is still eluding her.

Same is the case with senior hero Arjun Sarja, whose character artist acts aren’t working at Telugu box office. After the flop show of LIE at the box office, many expected that Bunny will give him a boost, but Naa Peru Surya didn’t yield any name for him. Forget about blockbuster range, the character didn’t get him some attention for his performance.

Seems like Allu Arjun ran out of luck to share something for these two, while the star hero anyway has interesting lineups in the offing.

There is a difference between a comedy film and a big star’s film. But producer Lagadapati Sridhar who has made small budget films until Naa Peru Surya doesn’t seem to know the difference between them.

Lagadapati Sridhar announced a scheme when his debut production Evadi Gola Vadide hit the screens.

He announced a money back scheme where the ticket’s worth would be refunded back to the viewer if he doesn’t like the movie. It was an attractive scheme for a comedy film that doesn’t have any star.

He also made similar challenges for Uday Kiran’s film Viyyalavari Kayyalu. But announcing such schemes for a star studded film like NPS will give negative impression to the filmgoers rather showing the producer’s confidence.

Naa Peru Surya is putting up a decent show at box office despite mixed word of mouth. The range of the film will be decided based upon its performance during week days.

Meanwhile, producer is announcing such laughable money-back schemes as if it is a comedy or low budget film. There are other ways to show your confidence on your products, but this is definitely not one.

Hyderabadi beauty queen, former Miss Asia Pacific and Bollywood actress Dia Mirza is the latest celeb who has become an admirer of Chandrababu.

Last night, Dia took to Twitter and shared a quote by Chandrababu Naidu from his recent interview with a national TV channel. In the interview, Babu said that all the culprits who commit sexual harassment on women should be hanged.

Talking about the Dachepalli rape incident, Babu said that he will personally bear all expenses of the girl’s education till she reaches a higher position. He went on to say that he will be the girl’s guardian. Touched by Babu’s gesture, Dia tweeted, “Admire you @ncbn! You are a good person.”

When Dev Sai Ganesh’s brother requested Bunny on his Twitter timeline to fulfill the last wish of his brother, Bunny obliged to come down to Anakapalle to meet his terminally ill fan and even donated a Rs 10 Lakh for his treatment.

In USA, The film has seen huge drop & grossed approx $530k in 2days, which is a very less number !

And this producer is known for his extravagant songs as they will always feature creative setups, rich colours and huge investment. One of the most celebrated comedians in the country is not working for the silver screen, but he’s on TV. None other than Kapil Sharma is the man we are talking about. And from some time, his name is getting associated with some negative news too.

Recently a series of articles including some phone conversations of Kapil Sharma got published on an entertainment website, to support the arguments that the comedian is rude and also not so punctual. With his latest comedy show “Family Time With Kapil Sharma” taken off just after three-episodes, these rumours started flowing big time.

However, Kapil alleged that the so-called journalist is intentionally maligning his name and now sent him a legal notice. He demanded a legal notice from the journalist for such malicious stories and gave him seven days deadline to tender apology on the public domain. If the journalist failed to do so, the legal notice asked him to deposit 100 crores in Defense Fund. Kapil also revealed that the journalist blackmailed him and tried to extort Rs 25 lakhs to not expose those tapes.

What about Kapil’s new TV show anyway? He has issued a statement as follows.

“I think I need some me time and need to recuperate. I’ve been working too hard for too long. There is a lot in the pipeline and lot of new exciting projects, which I will talk about soon. The reality right now is that I have worked very hard and I love what I do. I just need some time off and I promise you that I will be entertaining you again, as that is what I thrive on”.
