A follow up film to a resounding hit is very important for any actor. Same is the case for Vijay Deverakonda after ‘Arjun Reddy’. He has lined up an interesting film in his bid to keep the tempo, but it seems his plan got affected by his own film.

Vijay plans to release his new film, ‘Taxiwala’ in May. Said to be an exhilarating thriller revolving around a car, the film is bankrolled by in-form production houses, GA2 & UV Creations.

However, a film that he had committed some two years ago, ‘Ye Mantram Vesave’, has now made a sudden entry. The producer has just announced its release on March 9. This film had been rotting in cans for a long time, but the makers reportedly managed to pool funds and complete it after Vijay became a star with ‘Arjun Reddy’.

The makers obviously seem to cash in on the craze of ‘Arjun Reddy’ and plan to release the film before any of his new film releases. But, the question is, will Vijay promote the film? Was the release date announced with his acceptance?

If we recall, after the success of Vijay’s ‘Pelli Choopulu’, his long delayed film titled ‘Dwaraka’ released and bombed, thus bringing him back to square. He visibly doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake, release a delayed film, after ‘Arjun Reddy’.

We can see that Vijay is actively promoting ‘Taxiwala’ on his social media handles whereas he didn’t tweet anything about ‘Ye Mantram Vesave’ after its release date was announced. Has he disowned this film? What impact the film will make on his career if it flops?

The evergreen, exuberant actress Sridevi, who passed away Saturday night in UAE, had a longtime presence on screen with many notable works. The sudden death of 54-year actress is an absolute shock to all of her fans and audiences.

The Indian film fraternity woke up this morning to the sad news of veteran actress Sridevi’s untimely death. In a tragic and unbelievable occurrence, a perfectly healthy-looking Sridevi succumbed to her first heart attack itself.

Here is a shocking coincidence involving the death of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s first wife, Mona Kapoor, whom he divorced to marry Sridevi.

Mona Kapoor died of Cancer in March 2012, just two months before the release of her son, Arjun Kapoor’s debut film, ‘Ishaqzaade’. Had her death got delayed by just two more months, she could have seen her son on big screen.

Sridevi’s untimely death happened four months before the release of her elder daughter, Jhanvi Kapoor’s debut film, ‘Dhadak’, which is scheduled to release worldwide in July this year. It is very sad that she will not be able to see Jhanvi on big screen after planning so much for her career.

Veteran Actor Sridevi dies at age 54 on Saturday. She is reported to have died after a cardiac arrest in Dubai. The veteran actor married film producer Boney Kapoor with whom she had two daughters.

Popularly hailed as the first female superstar of Hindi cinema, the actress had many big hits like Chandni and was especially noted for her impeccable timing as a comedienne.

She had continued to remain a powerhouse of talent after her comeback with 2012’s English Vinglish, Sridevi stunned fans with her performance as a villainous queen in Puli, which also marked her comeback to Tamil cinema after a gap of more than two decades.

She had made her debut as a child actor in the film industry in 1967. She had worked in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. She was awarded with Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, in 2013.

That’s the audio launch function of “Karu” movie in Chennai, which happens to be the first ever Tamil film of Sai Pallavi in a lead role. Though she acted as a sidekick in a couple of films way back in 2008, none remember that in the first case neither recognise her.

Surprising thing is that the hero of her first Tamil flick Karu, which is being released as Kanam in Telugu, is missing at the audio launch. Directed by heroine Amala Paul’s ex-husband AL Vijay, the film should mark the debut of Naga Shourya in Kollywood but his absence is proving many things here.

Earlier in his interviews, while promoting Chalo movie, Shourya opened up some things about “Kanam” movie where he criticising Sai Pallavi’s craze and unnecessary involvement in a film’s making. Some say that as the total story revolves around Sai Pallavi and her four-year child, Shourya is upset that his character got sidelined. Probably for that reason he might have skipped the audio launch.

And then, is not the responsibility of the director and producer to include both hero and heroine in the promotions? They say, for the makers, Sai Pallavi is more important as the film is being released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam while Shourya is a known face only here in Tollywood.
