Makers of the upcoming multistarrer featuring Nagarjuna and Nani in lead roles, have reportedly locked the leading lady to pair with Nagarjuna.

Shraddha Srinath, the talented and beautiful Kannada actress, has reportedly given her nod to play the role of Nag’s romantic interest. Shraddha is a big name in Sandalwood, and she appeared in a cameo in Mani Ratnam’s “Cheliyaa” too. Interestingly, Sharddha was the leading lady in Kannada hit film, ‘U Turn’, which is being remade in Telugu with Nag’s daughter-in-law Samantha reprising her role.

The Nag-Nani multistarrer is Shraddha’s fourth Telugu film after three small films which went without a trace at box office. The project is the first Telugu biggie that she has been offered so she reportedly couldn’t turn it down.

Meanwhile, the makers are still on the look out for another actress to be paired opposite Nani. To be directed by Sriram Adittya, the film will be launched on February 24. The principal shooting will begin in the first week of March.

As per trade reports, the romantic drama collected a distributor share of 2.67 Cr (more than 90% of day 1 on worth and 40% more than day 3 share) on day 4, which is phenomenal for a medium budget film. The 4 days worldwide gross crossed 25 Cr mark.

The Varun Tej starrer is expected to have a good Wednesday due to Valentine’s Day. Considering the film’s consistency at box office, it may not have any difficulty in breaking even, need nearly 8 Cr to do that.

Superstar Mahesh babu has always shown special concern for his near and dear ones and gone the extra mile for them. In his latest effort, he has cancelled the shoot of his film to promote his sister, Manjula’s first directorial, “Manasuku Nachindi”.

Mahesh Babu shot for a fight sequence for Bharat Ane Nenu yesterday. The continuation shoot was supposed to be held today, but, Mahesh cancelled the shoot so as to give special interviews for ‘Manasuku Nachindi’. The interviews will be shot today in Annapoorna 7 Acres studio.

Mahesh will be back on BAN sets tomorrow, and the shoot of the high octane fight sequence will resume.

Manasuku Nachindi, starring Sundeep Kishan, Amyra Dastur and Tridha Choudhury will release worldwide on Feb 16. The film marks Manjula’s directorial debut.

For any movie, no technician should be taken for granted until the first look poster comes out. Because these are the days where few technicians are exiting from a project even after completion of a schedule of the film.

Right now big discussions are going on about the music composer roped for Jr NTR and Trivikram’s upcoming film. In fact, this movie was supposed to have Anirudh as the composer as the director and producer made a big deal with him even before signing Agnyaathavaasi. But the flop show of Pawan’s film is likely to bring in some shockers for all the parties.

Some reports have come that Anirudh is quoting nearly 2 crores for this film and the producers are not in a mood to flex out such sum. And then Jr NTR wanted Devi Sri Prasad on board because his last three hits are scored by him only. However, Trivikram is not said to be in cool terms with the talented music director and hence they didn’t take any call.

That left them with the only mega option called Thaman and this composer is busy with a slew of films in hand. He’s the pick of the season with his background scores doing wonders for films at box office. But it looks like Thaman can’t allocate the much needed time to this project as Trivikram and Jr NTR has to complete the film by October after which the hero will move to Rajamouli’s film.

So, who is the composer for this project? We have to wait for some more time to know about it.

With just one wink and an eyebrow dance, Mallu youngster Priya Varrier became a sensation across the nation in no time. Even Instagram saw her star power as she amassed almost 600K followers on a single which is a record of sorts at the international level.

But it looks like fame doesn’t come easy and it also brings all sorts of troubles. A case is lodged today morning on Priya Varrier in Falaknama Police station in Hyderabad. The complainants, some Muslims from Hyderabad, claimed that Priya has insulted and outraged their feelings with her expressions for the song.

They have no problems with Priya’s looks and expressions, but the lyric of the song they used seems to have troubled them. It is being said that the song Manikya Malaraavi Poovi is a traditional song being sung by Malabar regions’ Muslims during festival times. They believe that this song emphasises the deep love between Prophet Mohammad and his wife Lady Khadijah and it has holy significance.

Hyderabad’s Farooq Nagar  based Muslim youth are said to be upset that a song of greatest spiritual and religious link is now being used for a love story made on youngsters. That’s the reason the case is lodged.

Directed by Omar Lulu, Priya Varrier is one of the leading ladies of the film “Oru Adaar Love” which has this particular song featured in it.

It is a general practice for debutante directors to work with big heroes after scoring a hit in their first attempt. ‘Pelli Choopulu’ director, Tharun Bhascker however chose the lesser taken path.

He is working with non-established actors in his second film as well after scoring a resounding hit with his debut film, Pelli Choopulu. Tentatively titled, ‘Ee Nagaraniki Yemayindi’, the youthful entertainer will release in this summer. The film is currently under production.

For his third film however, Tharun has changed course as he has got the nod of an established hero, Nikhil. We have reliable information that Tharun has narrated a script to Nikhil and got his dates. The project, Tharun’s 3rd film, will go on floors in June this year.

Nikhil is currently awaiting the release of Kirrak Party. His new project, the Telugu remake of Tamil hit film, “Kanithan”, will go on floors soon. After the completion of this film, he will work under Tharun’s direction for the latter’s third film.
