Tollywood star Prabhas is currently a hot property in the film industry after the super success of his magnum opus ‘Baahubali’.

While the actor is still to make his Bollywood debut, B-town girl Shraddha Kapoor will be seen sharing screen space with him in an upcoming trilingual film ‘Saaho’.

And if reports are anything to go by, Deepika Padukone too will be seen opposite Prabhas in his next Bollywood film.

According to reports, the ‘Baahubali’ star will soon be seen in a Bollywood movie which he has approved about three years ago.

Apparently, Deepika Padukone has been approached by the makers to star opposite him. However, talks are still underway and Deepika is yet to reportedly give her nod.

If things do not work out with Deepika, the makers are also reportedly considering Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif for the role.

We have just witnessed a biggie from each Mega (Pawan Kalyan’s “Agnyaathavaasi”) and Nandamuri (Balakrishna’s “Jai Simha”) families competing at box office for Sanakranthi festival season. The competition may repeat in March too.

Makers of Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film, “Rangasthalam” have already announced that their film will have its worldwide release on March 30. The Mega film is likely to have an unexpected competitor in the form of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s “MLA”.

Through the recently released teaser, the makers of “MLA” announce that the action comedy will hit screens in March, they didn’t confirm the exact date though. Buzz has now picked up in inside circles that plans are underway to release MLA on the same date or a day ahead of Rangasthalam. If that happens, it would be second Mega-Nandamuri clash of this year under three months.

Trade analysts say that both films can find their audience as they belong to two completely different genres. Buyers hope that the clash turns into a Khaidi No.150 vs GPS sort of win-win scenario and not Agnyaathavaasi vs Jai Simha result.

Director Koratala Siva is all set to give the first ever treat to Mahesh Babu fans on January 26th as the hero is all set to take oath as “Bharat Anu Nenu”. And here comes an interesting snippet from the film.

Apparently, director Siva wants to cater to all sections of audiences with his movies. While his story will have a plot point that is in sync with social situation of the society, his narrative would be like a pakka commercial film. Also to enthral those glamour lovers, he comes up with some item songs as well. In Mirchi, we have seen Hamsa Nandini’s title song dances, and in Janata Garage Koratala got Kajal on board to deliver that spicy item number aka special song.

As Shruti Haasan took care of the much-needed glamour part in Srimanthudu movie with her sizzling looks in songs like Dhimmatirige and Charuseela, there was no special number. However, Koratala is said to have planned a spicy item number for Bharat Anu Nenu as well, to which Mahesh said no.

Though Mahesh is also a fan of item numbers and has done interesting songs in films like Dookudu, for Bharat Anu Nenu he is not said to be interested because the song is actually disturbing the flow of film in second half. So there is no chance of any ravishing glamour treat for a tune of Devi Sri Prasad yet again.

A day after wishing Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Padayatra to be successful in a TV interview (owned by Jagan), Suriya has now heaped praises on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. During his ‘Thank you Tour’ of his latest offering Gang in Vijayawada, Suriya said that his film is take on corruption.

He heaped praises on Chandrababu and his government initiatives to curb corruption. Saying that Gang sheds light on corruption i.e ‘Avineethi Dinosaur’, he said, “A lot of respect for what honourable CM is doing here. We also heard about dial 1100 where people could call and complain about bribe.”

Earlier Suriya had wished Jagan’s Padayatra to be successful like his father YSR’s Padayatra.

Give Me Love, Don’t Give Me Your Life

Crowd thronged in large numbers to catch glimpse of Suriya. Even a bike rally was organised by local fans which has worried Suriya.

“If you have a lot of love for me, give me love, but don’t give me your life. If something wrong happens, it’ll be a lifelong scar on me. I’ve seen fans doing bike rally without wearing helmets. One of the bikes had skid and almost came under my vehicle. Please don’t do such things. Just give me your love, but don’t give me your life,” an emotional Suriya told to his Telugu fans on behalf of media.

As many as 12 Telugu producers’ offices have been inspected by the IT sleuths on Wednesday, just a day after the conclusion of Sankranthi festival (Kanuma). Apparently, the inspection was to check the TDS records and to find out whether all are in place or not. Apparently, the inspection is in connection with the newly implemented Goods and Service Tax (GST).

Producers Dil Raju, Suresh Babu, Radha Krishna aka Chinna Babu, Sharrath Marar, C Kalyan, DVV Danayya, Anand Prasad and a few more names are said to be in the list. Mainly the offices of Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC), Suresh Productions, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Northstar Entertainment, CK Entertainments, DVV Entertainments LLP, Bhavya Creations were among the offices that were inspected.

The inspection was conducted on all their offices at once. However, the raids were not in connection with Income Tax but all of them are related to GST & TDS.More details are yet to be known.

Even though Balakrishna’s “Jai Simha” took an average opening on Day 1, the film grew from strength to strength, and has consolidated its position at box office. Going by trade reports, the film is the clear Sankranthi 2018 season winner.

On Tuesday, the film’s fifth day in theatres, Jai Simha put up a commendable performance and earned a distributor share of 2.72 Cr in the Telugu states, thus taking the 5 days total share to 17.89 Cr with a gross of 31 Cr.
