Salman Khan Angry With Bipasha’s Condom Ad

Share

Salman Khan gives utmost importance to family audiences, be it concerning his films or the TV shows that he hosts. He remains the only actor in Bollywood who hasn’t yet kissed onscreen or shot for an intense lovemaking scene. He wants ‘Bigg Boss 11’, the show he hosts to be as clean as his films, and for that he didn’t think twice to remove steamy standees of his good friend Bipasha Basu’s condom ad from the house.

Reportedly, Salman was so annoyed over Bipasha Basu’s latest condom ad, also featuring her husband Karan Singh Grover, that he issued a dictum for Bigg Boss makers to remove them from the house. Acting on his orders, all standees of the ad were removed. Salman Khan thought that the ad was ‘too bold and steamy’ for ‘Bigg Boss 11’, which according to him is a ‘family show’, watched by children as well.

Salman’s stern action has reportedly annoyed Bipasha. On the other hand, the incident has once again proved that Salman vouches for family audiences.

Well, Pawan Kalyan isn’t shutting the shop immediately despite the fact that he wants to move to active politics very soon in order to strengthen roots of Janasena Party in the wake of 2019 elections. Here goes the story.

Actually ‘Agnathavasi’ was supposed to be the last film of Pawan Kalyan before he ventured into elections. All other projects are said to be on hold before this 25th film arrives. But that doesn’t seem true. The red carpet for his other two films is also set now.

It is confirmed that Mythri Movie Makers are now planning to get Pawan’s next flick under Santosh Srinivas’ direction launched in January 2018. This is confirmed by the sources in the production house.

Cut to Pawan’s 27th film, much-hyped Vedalam remake under RT Neason’s direction will also be taking off soon. This film will be produced by AM Ratnam and other day his son Jothi Krishna confirmed the same.

So that way, we have both 26th and 27th films of Pawan Kalyan getting ready. Now its the turn of political admirers of the hero to doubt when will he actually cater time to Janasena if he keeps on doing films this way.

The audio launch of Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas’ most-anticipated Agnathavaasi is likely to be held on December 18 or December 19. Mostly, it may happen on Dec 18 and if there is any change in permission or any other technical reasons, the event may be pushed by a day i.e Dec 19.

Anirudh Ravichander said to have composed a nice & foot-tapping album for PK’s landmark 25th film. The audio rights have been acquired by a leading audio company for a record deal. Apparently, the album has five songs including a peppy mass one which is likely to have Pawan’s voice. This is still kept as suspense and awaits confirmation.

Meanwhile, the film’s trailer will also be launched along with the music on Dec 18 or Dec 19.

The film has ensemble cast and is shot lavishly. The film’s pre-release business has set a new precedent and crores of rupees are riding high on the film.

MCA To Undergo Repairs?

If grapevine is to be believed, Nani and Sai Pallavi-starrer Middle Class Abbayi is likely to undergo some repairs. Some scenes in the film have reportedly not shaped up as expected and producer Dil Raju, hero Nani are now toying with the idea of going for a reshoot. Now, the film’s postponement news has added fuel to these ongoing speculations in the film circuits.

Originally MCA is planned for Dec 15 release, producer Dil Raju has postponed the film to Dec 21st. Also, the makers want to focus on the film’s post-production which is also another reason for the film’s delay.

Meanwhile, Nagarjuna has announced the release of Hello on Dec 22nd much earlier. Now, Nag is apparently miffed with this sudden change.

On the other hand, Allu Sirish and VI Anand’s sci-fi thriller is speculated to be postponed from December 23 to December 29 in order to give some gap. Looks like, change in MCA schedule is affecting the other releases.

Nizam’s kin disappointed over not being invited for Falaknuma dinner

Share

Hyderabad: The kin of the Nizam, the ruler of erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad, are disappointed over authorities not inviting them to a reception being hosted at one of his palaces in the city for GES delegates.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hosting a dinner at Taj Falaknuma for Ivanka Trump, daughter and advisor of US President Donald Trump and other delegates attending Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) on Tuesday.

Nawab Najaf Ali Khan, grandson of the 7th and last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan, said: It is highly disappointing and lamentable that the family of the 7th Nizam were not invited for the GES event being held in one of the palaces that represents ‘our familial culture and heritage.’

“I, being the grandson of the erstwhile Royal Family, deserve an invite as the Palace is an important landmark both in our family’s history and also in the history of Hyderabad,” he said in a statement.

Khan said he had numerous communications over last 10 days with the authorities of Niti Aayog, who are responsible for handling the event but it evoked no response.

Falaknuma, one of the grand palaces in Hyderabad, was the residence of the sixth Nizam, Mir Mahboob Ali Khan till his death in 1911.

The palace was turned into star hotel about a decade ago after restoration by Taj Group.

Modi hard sells India, Ivanka for equitable laws for women

Share

Hyderabad: A three-day international summit of entrepreneurs started here on Tuesday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi hard selling India and inviting investors from across the globe to invest in India taking advantage of a friendly climate while President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka said much remains to be done with regard to equitable laws for women in many developing as well as developed countries.

“To my entrepreneur friends from across the globe, I would like to say: Come, Make in India, Invest in India – for India, and for the world. I invite each one of you to become a partner in India’s growth story. And once again assure you of our whole-hearted support,” Modi said while inaugurating the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit here.

The event, being co-hosted here by the US and India, is being attended by 1,500 entrepreneurs, investors and eco-system supporters from 159 countries.

Modi told young entrepreneurs from India that each of them has something valuable to contribute towards creating a New India by 2022. “You are vehicles of change and instruments of India’s transformation.”

“My government understands that an environment of transparent policies and a rule of law providing a level-playing field are necessary for entrepreneurship to flourish.

Listing various steps taken by his government in the last over three years in improving the business climate, Modi said the jump in India’s ranking in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing business Report from 142 to 100 in three years was a result of this.

“My government understands that an environment of transparent policies and a rule of law providing a level-playing field are necessary for entrepreneurship to flourish.

“A historic overhaul of the taxation system has been recently undertaken, bringing in the Goods and Services Tax across the country. Our Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code introduced in 2016 is a step towards ensuring timely resolution for stressed ventures. We have recently improved this further, preventing wilful defaulters from bidding for stressed assets,” he said.

Touching on demonetisation, the Prime Minister said tough measures have been adopted to tackle the parallel economy, check tax evasion and control black money.

“Our efforts have been recognised by Moody’s recent upgrade of India’s government bond ratings. This upgrade comes after a gap of almost 14 years.”

India, he said, has improved its rank from 54 in 2014 to 35 on the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index. This signifies the relative ease and efficiency with which products can be moved into and from a country.

“An investment-friendly environment needs to be stable from the macro-economic perspective. We have succeeded in containing the fiscal and current account deficits and curbing inflation. Our foreign exchange reserves have crossed USD 400 billion and we continue to attract large foreign capital flows,” he said.

Speaking before the prime minister, Ivanka, who is also the US President’s Adviser, said: “When it comes to equitable laws, while many developed and developing countries have made tremendous strides, there is still much work to be done.”

She said in some countries, women are not allowed to own property, travel freely, or work without the consent of their husbands. In some other countries, the cultural and family pressure is so great that women do not feel the freedom to work outside the home.

“Our administration is striving to promote greater opportunity for women around the world, both through our domestic reforms and our international initiatives,” she said.

She also said that when women work, it creates a “multiplier effect”, and leads to more reinvestment in families and society.

“When women work, it creates a unique multiplier effect. Women are more likely than men to hire other women, and to give them access to capital, mentorship and networks. Women are also more likely to reinvest their income back in their families and communities,” she said.

She also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his belief that progress of humanity is incomplete without the empowerment of women.

“Just consider, if India closes the labour force gender gap by half, your economy could grow by over $150 billion in the next three years,” she said.

Noting that this is the first time India has hosted the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, Ivanka said it is a symbol of the strengthened friendship between our two peoples, and the growing economic and security partnership between our two nations.

Complimenting India for being one of the fastest growing economies globally, lifting millions out of poverty and for the progress achieved in science and technology, Trump said: “The people of India inspire us all.”

“The people of India have lifted more than 130 million citizens out of poverty. All of you are helping India’s middle class reach its goal of becoming 500 million people by 2030.”

This year’s summit is focused on a theme: Women First, Prosperity for All.

Stressing on women’s achievements in India, Modi said: “In Indian mythology, woman is an incarnation of Shakti – the Goddess of power. We believe women empowerment is vital to our development.”

“Indian women continue to lead in different walks of life. Our space programmes, including the Mars Orbiter Mission, have had immense contribution from our women scientists. Kalpana Chawla and Sunita Williams, both of Indian origin, have been part of US space missions,” he added.

Talking about Indian women empowerment, Modi added: “We have launched the MUDRA scheme to provide easy finance of upto one million rupees to entrepreneurs. Since its launch in 2015, over 90 million loans worth 4.28 trillion rupees have been sanctioned. Of these, more than 70 million loans have been sanctioned to women entrepreneurs.”

The US State Department and other American agencies in partnership with NITI Aayog, India’s think tank, are organising GES, which seeks to create an environment that empowers innovators, particularly women, to take their ideas to the next level.

The delegates include about 400 each from India and the US and the remaining from the rest of the world.

This is the 8th GES which brings together entrepreneurs, investors and eco-system supporters for mentoring, networking and investment matchmaking. This is the first time that the event is being held in South Asia.

Ivanka Trump Speech at GES 2017 in Hyderabad

Share

Here is the text of speech of Ivanka Trump, daughter of US President Donald Trump and advisor to the White House, at the 8th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) held at HICC in Hyderabad, India.

Ivanka Trump on Tuesday (Nov 28,2017) said that Indian economy can grow by over USD 150 billion in the next three years if it was able to close the labour force gender gap by half.

In her keynote address in Hyderabad, Ivanka showered lavish praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is “doing to build India as a thriving economy — a beacon of democracy — and a symbol of hope to the world. What you are achieving is truly extraordinary”.

“What you are achieving is truly extraordinary… from your childhood selling tea to election as India’s Prime Minister,” she said.

“Through your own enterprise, entrepreneurship and hard work, the people of India have lifted more than 130 million citizens out of poverty — a remarkable improvement, and one I know will continue to grow under the leadership of Prime Minister,” Ivanka said further.

“Here in India, I want to applaud Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his firm belief that ‘the progress of humanity is incomplete without the empowerment of women’,” she stressed.

India, she said, is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and has a true friend in the White House.

Upasna At #GES2017: Mega Family Gives Sweet Surprise

Share

#GES2017 is so special for India because this is the first such Global Entrepreneurship Summit being held in South Asia. And that too, this year it focuses on Women Empowerment, with nearly 50% of the delegates being women entrepreneurs from various corners of the world.

At the inaugural session of GES2017, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and USA White House advisor Ivanka Trump spoke at empowering women and all. Guess what, mega kodalu Upasna Kamineni, who happens to another prominent entrepreneur from Hyderabad, also attended the event. She sat on the line next to Ivanka Trump and whenever Ivanka was shown in cameras, it felt like Upasna is sitting next to her.

Watching the program on TV, both Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan said to have got elated. They took a snapshot of Upasna appearing alongside Ivanka and whatsapped that to Upasna.

Sharing this sweet surprise, Upasna said, “My sweetest Mamaya & Mr. C #ramcharan sent me this clipping from the TV. Thanks so much for always believing in #woman #empowerment”

That sounds pretty lovely and many Telugu Cinema lovers who have seen this clip ‘live’ on TV are also excited to see Upasna alongside Ms. Trump.

It’s Not About Hyd Or Amaravathi -Nara Brahmani

Share

#GES2017 that is happening in Hyderabad is so prestigious that 50% of the members taking part in the meeting are women entrepreneurs. Including Ivanka Trump, we have Nara Brahmani also taking part in the summit as a representative of Heritage Foods.

When Brahmani arrived at the venue, many think, how would she feel that #GES is happening in Hyderabad while she happens to be the daughter-in-law of Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister. For all such silly seekers, Brahmani has a stunning answer.

“It doesn’t matter at which place such summit is happening. The first women parliament has happened at Amaravathi last year. Now this GES is happening in Hyderabad, another Telugu state. Also, no matter where it happens, we have to see this as something that is promoting women empowerment” said Brahmani, giving a strong reply once and for all.

“I’ve worked in a venture capitalist firm and saw only a few women entrepreneurs. And as this happens to be USA and India collaboration, we could learn more from the panel discussions. More women entrepreneurs should come out in the coming years” she added, expressing her happiness to take part in #GES2017.

That way Brahmani has put women-empowerment above silly politics being made by few people saying that Andhra people will be unhappy with Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Meanwhile, at the summit, Nara Brahmani arrived with her good friend Upasna Kamineni, another popular woman entrepreneur.

Agnathavasi And Bhagmati: No It’s Wrong

Share

Tollywood is not going new in terms of content and film production style if we have to say. We’re yet to see brilliant offbeat films, terrific award grabbers and stunning performance oriented stories on our silver screen. Barring a few like Garuda Vega, rest is the same.

But it looks like now every filmmaker is focused on the way their films are written and spelled in other languages. Recently we have seen the first looks of movies like Anushka’s Bhagmati and Pawan Kalyan’s Agnathavasi taking fans with huge excitement. But the spellings of these films when written in English are not the above ones.

Yes, in general, you may write Agnathavasi but it is actually to be written “Agnyaathavaasi”, an ‘nya’ for the ‘inya vathhu’ and ‘aa’ for the ‘deergam’ in ‘vaasi’.

Same is the case with Bhagmati, as the makers like to spell it “Bhaagmathie” in English. But the common word sound more exciting than this spelling suggested by the makers in this case.

But these English corrections look like the advice a numerologist gives to Sunil in the movie “Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appal Raju” to change his name and his film’s name to something else.
