It seems top comedian Sapthagiri is growing closer to the very influential and charismatic Mega family. After taking the help of Pawan Kalyan for his debut film as hero, Sapthagiri is now taking Ram Charan’s help for his second film.

Pawan Kalyan attended the audio launch event of Sapthagiri’s debut film as hero, ‘Sapthagiri Express’. It was his gesture of gratitude for the comedian who gave away the ‘Katamarayudu’ title as soon as he had asked it. Pawan’s association helped the film in getting free publicity as well as the support of the matinee idol’s fans, which ultimately made the film become a decent earner at box office.

Now, Sapthagiri has requested Ram Charan to launch the trailer of his second film as hero, ‘Sapthagiri LLB’, and the mega hero gave his word. Sapthagiri hopes that Charan’s presence will attract media’s attention towards his film and also secure the support of Mega fans.

Charan on the other hand has developed the habit of promoting small films of his near and dear ones.

Nagarjuna’s Annapurna Studios is expected to lose more land. Telangana state government is planning to build a road that joins Banjara Hills and Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Yousufguda. For this, the government has to extend the road that is adjacent to Krishna Nagar, Jawahar Nagar and Annapurna Studios which ends at the studio.

However, there is a dead-end of the road at Annapurna Studios as it is a hillock. If a road has to be constructed, as per the experts, it should be at least 80 feet road to prevent any accidents. Right now there is only 40-feet road and Annapurna Studios has agreed to give 20-feet road.

Whereas another 20-feet is required from Annapurna Studios. If the road is built, this would reduce another three to four kilometres to commuters at the same time, this would also reduce the traffic problems in the city.

IT & Panchayat Raj Minister KT Ramarao, who is a very close friend to Nagarjuna and Akkineni family, has visited the area near Annapurna Studios and promised the locals that he would personally talk to Nagarjuna and request him to give 20 feet more space from the Studio to build a road. KTR assured that Telangana government would construct the road with an estimated cost of Rs 8 Crore for the 80-feet road. KTR promised that the road would be built in just 100 days.

Will Nag accept KTR’s proposal? For that one has to wait and watch.

There are some heroes who always get ample chances to prove themselves. And there are heroes who prove many times but still fail to get a break. Young and handsome hero Sri Vishnu falls in this second category.

The film is said to be dealing with delicate emotions of a confused individual and newcomer director Vivek Atreya has done a commendable job, the talk says. The film’s real fate will be decided on 24th November. We have to see if it becomes another Pelli Choopulu for Suresh Babu and Raj Kandukuri.

Deepika Padukone’s upcoming historical film, “Padmavati” has been at the center of controversies since its inception. With just two weeks left for the film’s theatrical release, the fringe elements who have been threatening to stop the release, have stooped to a new low now.

According to media reports, Karni Sena, the group that claims to have taken the responsibility of shielding the history of Rajputs, has allegedly threatened to cut off Deepika Padukone’s nose and behead ‘Padmavati’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali if the film releases. These fringe elements had earlier vandalized the film’s sets, and manhandle Bhansali as well. All this hate and threats without watching the film, without having any idea of what will be in the film.

What’s hurting and intimidating film fraternity and movie lovers is the stoic silence of the government. despite such atrocious and open threats to the ‘Padmavati’ unit. Bhansali has even promised to screen the film for Rajput community people after the film receives censor certificate. The fringe groups however is on a threatening spree.

Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, “Padmavati” is scheduled for a December 1, 2017 release.

Producer Bandla Ganesh has dropped a bombshell over the ongoing Nandi Awards row. Even as allegations are rife that the awards have ignored Mega family heroes & their films, Bandla Ganesh went a step ahead and called the Nandi Awards as Cycle Awards.

Calling it as TDP Kalam (TDP Season), Ganesh alleged that the awards have become joke. Ganesh didn’t stop there. He even accused that jury members are mere actors, indicating that someone behind the screen has directed all of them. Ganesh alleged that the awards have been announced to brothers, cousins, relatives and people who carry TDP Flag.

Ganesh stooped to all time low in making demeaning comments. Questioning the Best Film Award for Legend for 2014, Ganesh asked why Manam was not given award. He even drew comparisons between his own film Govindudu Andarivadele and Legend. Admitting that Legend had collected more than Govindudu, however, Bandla claimed that Govindudu should be given an award for wholesome entertainment and another award for the hero.

When one of the jury members pointed out that Govindudu was already given award, Bandla says that it not enough.

Bandla Ganesh continues to show his patriotism for Mega family once again. Going to the extent of demeaning other heroes, other films who have won Nandi Awards.

Right from the moment the AP government has announced the Nandi awards for 2014, 2015 and 2016 recently, the jury as well as the state govt. are receiving brickbats from those who didn’t get awards, film analysts, critics and movie lovers.

Reigning comedian Prudhvi has also come out in open expressing his resentment over not getting an award for his popular ‘Boiling Star’ character in 2014 super hit film, ‘Loukyam’. He divulged about having hoped of getting Best Comedian award for Loukyam, since he had received many awards for his role in that film.

‘I felt like the jury told right on my face that I wasn’t eligible to get Nandi award yet. Its very hurting,’ he reportedly said. The comedian said that he however finds happiness in knowing that audience have loved his performance, even though the govt. hasn’t recognized his efforts.

Nayanthara’s latest Tamil film, “Aramm” has received immense critical acclaim and is ruling Tamil Nadu box office. The film is going to be dubbed in Telugu as ‘Karthavyam’. Now, here is an interesting observation.

Yesteryear actress Vijayashanti was the first heroine to earn the ‘Lady Superstar of South’ title. And, the most defining film in her career was ‘Karthavyam’, in which she played an IPS officer. Released in 1990, the film earned Vijayashanti a National Film Award for Best Actress, and became a blockbuster at box office. She went on to do many more heroine-oriented films from then on, and took remuneration on par with her male counterparts.

After all these years, Nayanthara has become the successor of Vijayashanti in achieving the ‘Lady Superstar’ title. She has already delivered many hits with heroine-oriented films, but ‘Aramm’ is an entirely different case. It is a social drama sans glossy commercial elements, but it still is ruling box office. Of course, the film is content-driven but the commercial success might not have come without Nayan’s powerful screen presence. Her striking performance as a District Collector has won immense appreciation from every corner. ‘Aramm’ has become a defining film in Nayan’s career and justified her ‘Lady Superstar’ title.

Now, as the film is being dubbed in Telugu, makers chose to name it, ‘Karthavyam’. A film with this very same title has then made Vijayashanti the ‘Lady Superstar’, and now its the turn of Nayanthara.
