Trailer Talk : Sai Pallavi Enters Horror Genre
The first look poster of Sai Pallavi and Naga Shaurya’s upcoming film, ‘Kanam’ (Karu in Tamil) had received good response when it was unveiled a few months ago. Now, the film’s theatrical trailer has been released, and it looks quite intriguing.
Kanam is based on ‘Abortion’. Sai Pallavi is playing the role of a newly wed girl who experiences strange happenings around her following her abortion. Shaurya plays her husband character. The film seems to be a horror thriller with a ‘mother’s trauma following abortion’ at the core. The haunting visuals of a little girl and the background score catch one’s attention.
As usual, Sai Pallavi looks to have excelled in yet another challenging role. This Tamil-Telugu bilingual, directed by Tamil filmmaker AL Vijay, is her debut in Kollywood. Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling Rajinikanth’s “2.0”, has produced this emotional drama.
Indian Girl Manushi Chhillar Wins Miss World 2017
Seventeen years after Priyanka Chopra won the Miss World (2000), Indian girl Manushi Chhillar has repeated the history by bagging Miss World 2017 title. Beating the 118 contestants from all over the world who competed for the crown, Haryana girl Manushi Chhillar made it to the top. She was crowned Miss World 2017 on November 18, 2017 by the outgoing titleholder Stephanie Del Valle. The 67th edition of Miss World was held at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China.
20-year-old Manushi was born to doctor parents in Haryana. Her father, Dr. Mitra Basu Chhillar, is a scientist at the DRDO, while her mother, Dr. Neelam Chhillar, is an associate professor and HOD at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences.
Chhillar studied at St. Thomas’ School in New Delhi, and is pursuing a medical degree at the Bhagat Phool Singh Government Medical College for Women in Sonipat. She is a trained Kuchipudi dancer, and has trained under legendary dancers Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. Chhillar has also attended the National School of Drama. She is a Femina Miss India 2017 title holder too.
Earlier, the Indians who bagged the Miss World title are Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (Miss World 1994), Diana Hayden (Miss World 1997), Yukta Mookhey (Miss World 1999), Priyanka Chopra (Miss World 2000).
Thus, Manushi became the sixth Indian woman to win the crown, and the first since Priyanka Chopra won Miss World 2000. No doubt, Manushi has made nation proud yet again.
Nag Family Threatening Me: Producer
Film producer and businessman Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao has made shocking allegations against actor Nagarjuna, his sister Naga Susheela. Chintalapudi Srinivas, who co-produced films with Naga Susheela such as Aatadukundam Ra, Adda, Current, alleged that a civil case against him is turned into criminal case.
According to reports, Naga Susheela has filed a case against Chintalapudi over the sale of a land. Susheela alleged that Chintalapudi has sold their firm’s land without her consent and even alleged that Chintalapudi has misused the funds during the production of films.
Now the case registered in Punjagutta police station as Civil has been changed into a Criminal case.
Speaking on this development Chintalapudi said, “Naga Susheela has been telling me that his brother Nagarjuna is with her. She said that Nagarjuna would use all his influence against him. Nagarjuna is using Minister KTR’s name. I don’t think a person like KTR would involve in this and guide police to change the civil case to criminal case. I’m also being threatened that Supari would be given to people against me.”
Chintalapudi maintained that he is innocent and fight legally. He claimed that he is the managing partner of the firm and has authority to sell the land. He even said that his lawyers would deal the matter and he would attend the court.
I Told Not To Produce Atadukundam Ra
Talking about the huge debacle Atadukundam Ra, Chintalapudi said, “I had alerted Naga Susheela about the film. I was not interested in the subject. I had no faith. Since she was so keen, we had to produce the film. The film was made with 9 Crore 45 Lakhs and the film incurred us Rs 5 Crore loss. It was me who took finance for over Rs 4 Crore and made sure the film is released without any hurdles. I had put a lot of effort to see to it that the film would release such that the family wouldn’t lose respect in front of distributors, exhibitors.”
Chintalapudi further added, “Since I traveled with them for the film, I don’t want to speak against anyone of them. I respect it. We all worked together and the film didn’t work.”
Allu Hero’s Okka Kshanam For X’Mas
After Srirasthu Subhamasthu, Allu Sirish has cemented his position as a bankable actor. Living up to the tag, he has collaborated with Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada director VI Anand for Okka Kshanam. The latest is that the film is all set for release on December 23 on the eve of Christmas.
Touted to be a different thriller laced with science-fiction touch, Anand said to have made the film in a very engaging manner on a grand scale with good cast. The entire shoot has been wrapped much earlier and the team has sit on post-production for long and locked the film.
As today (Nov 18, 2017) marks the first anniversary of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, the makers of Okka Kshanam are revealing the film’s logo today and announce the film’s release date.
Praveen To Direct Nani
Although Nithiin’s home production has announced that their next would be with director Praveen Sattaru, talk is that Praveen may direct Nani for his next. This is expected to be produced by Bhavya Creations who has Nani’s dates.
Apparently, Praveen has two youthful scripts in his hand. One is said to be fit for Nani. Praveen is yet to narrate the story to Nani. However, it is learnt that this would materialise soon.
Whereas the other script is for any young hero under Nithiin’s home banner. Praveen hasn’t thought about the casting yet.
Praveen has commitment for both Shresth Movies and Bhavya Creations. So, which would roll onto the floors depends on the heroes’ and their dates. Inside buzz is that Praveen may next work with Nani under Bhavya Creations. With Garuda Vega becoming a super success, Praveen Sattaru has become a sought-after director now.

For the TDP and Facebook organized Blood Donation Camp today at NTR Bhavan, it’s Upasna who has attended as chief guest to inaugurate the camp. At the same time, Brahmani became the first person at the camp to donate blood. Talking about the same, Upasna revealed that she felt a heartwarming afternoon donating blood.
As per Brahmani, “If you begin donating blood at age 18 and donate every 90 days until you reach 60, you would have potentially helped save more than 500 lives”. To which Upasna added, “It’s a very powerful & satisfying thing to do”.

Telugu Desam senior leader Uma Madhava Reddy has made a sensational statement that TDP was no more in Telangana as it was extincted with the mass exodus of leaders to other parties. Sivagami of ‘Baahubali’ has become an unforgettable character, thanks to both the powerful writing and the sheer charismatic screen presence of senior actress Ramya Krishna. The character has already spawned a book, and the Baahubali makers are planning a web-series as well.
This is not all, a Kannada historical movie is now in offing with the title, ‘Sivagami’. And, Ramya Krishna has reportedly been roped in to essay the titular character of the 9th century queen. The film will be made on a lavish scale considering the popularity of ‘Sivagami’ title and Ramya Krishna.
