Super talented director Sukumar stepped out with a youthful romantic entertainer 100% Love which ended up as a huge hit. Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah got their big breaks with the film which is now all set to be remade in Tamil language.

Young music composer GV Prakash Kumar will play the lead role in the film which has been titled 100% Kaadhal. The regular shoot of the film started recently and the makers unveiled the first look poster of 100% Kaadhal.

The first poster of 100% Love was a sensation and the Tamil makers too followed the same trend. The first poster showcases GV Prakash Kumar copying a mathematics formula from the back waist (nadumu) of Shalini Pandey. Chandramouli is directing the film and Sukumar will be presenting the Tamil version of the film.

It was Lavanya Tripathi who was considered to play the female lead however she walked out of the project after which Shalini Pandey has been locked. The regular shoot of 100% Kaadhal will commence from October 11th and the makers are in plans to release the film during summer next year.

NTR’s “Daarina Poye Danayyalu” comments on critics is not going to slow down anytime soon. Despite that Tarak had been enjoying media support for all his recent films, his comments on media persons and especially critics have come as a huge shocker.

Apparently, Tarak is now regretting his ‘slip-of-tongue’ remarks. Talk is that NTR wants to say ‘sorry’ to media and he is expected to tender apology in his next press conference.

As per trade reports, SPYder collected a mere Rs 3 Cr share on day 4, and took its 4 days total share in the Telugu states to Rs 25.5 Cr. Collections from rest of the world are also pretty baffling except in Tamil Nadu where the film is performing decent.

Distributors, who invested heavily on the film, are now staring at 60-70% losses as the film needs to recover 120 Cr share for break even. Trade predicts the Mahesh starrer to end up being one of the biggest disasters in the Telugu film Industry.

It may be hard to digest for fans and buyers but Mahesh had 3 disasters – Nenokkadine, Aagadu and Brahmotsavam – in his last 4 attempts, Srimanthudu was the only hit. Now, SPYder is going make his BO record even worse by becoming a bigger disaster than the aforementioned ones.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated film SPYder is heading towards becoming a huge debacle. While the Telugu audience have rejected the film, Tamil audience reportedly embraced it. In Tamil Nadu, SPYder overpowered its competitors at box office and is minting decent money at box office. Responding on the divergent reception in the two languages for the same film, Murugadoss has given his version of analysis.

Murugadoss reportedly said that Mahesh is a superstar in Telugu states and that Telugu audience expected to see his heroism in SPYder. They might have felt disappointed to see insufficient heroism as it is a story-driven film, he cited.

Continuing further, he said, ‘On the other hand, Mahesh is a relatively new face to Tamil audience and they didn’t see him as a star. Hence they didn’t find a problem with not much heroism in the film and received it very well.’

Doesn’t Murugadoss’ excuse for SPYder’s debacle in Telugu look unconvincing and lame? He has been associated with the Telugu film industry for more than a decade and is well aware of what Telugu audiences like and dislike.

His ‘Ghajini’ became a blockbuster here. He directed Megastar Chiranjeevi in a direct Telugu film, ‘Stalin’, which should have taught him several lessons about dealing a Telugu star. His ‘7th Sense’ starring Suriya also had a massive release in Telugu.

Murugadoss should be well aware of what Telugu audience would expect when he was making an action thriller with a star hero. Moreover, audience felt cheated when a Robotic Spider was shown in the glimpse and also because of the repeated claims of makers that the film would offer adrenaline-pumping action scenes.

Hero Prabhas is undoubtedly one of the most honest and genuine heroes of Telugu cinema. Divulging Prabhas’ grounded nature and down-to-earth-attitude, actor Sharwa said that he is shocked to see Prabhas being true to himself and others.

“Prabhas Anna is the most genuine person I’ve seen in the industry. I wonder how he manage to be so. He has so many friends from even before he became hero. And he still has all his friends. He openly asks us to tell him if there are any small or good films that need promotion and he says that he is ready to promote such films. It can’t be just my film. It can be anyone’s film. Prabhas is such a great human being,” shared Sharwanand.

Sharwa, who is basking in the success of Mahanubhavudu, says that Tollywood’s Mahanubhavudu is none other than Chiranjeevi himself. Sharwa is very close to Chiru and Ram Charan since his early days. In fact, Sharwa made his acting debut with Chiru’s Shankar Dada MBBS.

NTR is surprising trade experts by minting money with even average films and without the help of star directors. None of NTR’s last three releases received unanimous positive talk but they still went on to earn respectful moolah and demonstrate what a crowd-puller he has become. The actor was once dropped from Top 3 because of continuous failures, but he has now stormed back and looks all set to lay his hands on the crown.

With Pawan Kalyan poised to take an active plunge in politics, Prabhas still to create non-Baahubali wonders and Ram Charan busy in image makeover, NTR and Mahesh look to be the only strong contenders for top spot.

The films of these two stars, SPYder and Jai Lava Kusa competed for this Dussehra. Neither of the two films received hit talk but Jai Lava Kusa earned respectful share whereas SPYder looks to become a disaster. With this result, NTR has gained an upper hand over Mahesh, in Overseas as well.

With NTR taking even below par and par movies to respectable position at box office, trade wonders what magnitude of tsunami he can create if his film receives hit talk from the word go.

Young tiger NTR Jr has become the first Tollywood hero to score a hat-trick of $1.5 million grossers in US.

After Nannaku Prematho (2M in lifetime) and Janatha Garage (1.8M in lifetime), Jai Lava Kusa has become the third successive NTR-starrer to go past $1.5M mark in US. This is a phenomenal feat considering all the three films received mixed word of mouth. JLK went past the 1.5M mark on Saturday.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is the only other hero to have 3 films going past 1.5 million mark – Dookudu, SVSC and Srimanthudu – but they were not consecutive releases.

Coming back to ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, the film still needs to collect around $200K to attain break even status. The film has slowed down but still raking in significant amounts.

Tamanna is Tollywood’s Queen. After a lot of dilly dallying, finally, the Telugu remake of superhit Hindi film Queen has been launched. While Tamanna steps into shoes of Kangana in Telugu, Kajal Aggarwal will be enacting the role in Tamil and Manjima Mohan in Malayalam. Tamanna has unveiled her first look from the film and she is seen sporting a locket with pendant ‘Queen’. This is now raising the expectations.

The Telugu remake will be helmed by national-award winning director Neelakanta. Neelakanta is known for films such as Missamma. He is back to calling the shots after a longtime. This time, Neelakanta is keen on making a grand comeback.

The Telugu Queen is being produced by Manu Kumaran, son of international award winning Malayalam director KP Kumaran on their home banner Mediente Films. He is also producing the film in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
