Jai Lava Kusa is one different film where the lead hero himself plays three different roles. Generally, in most recent films like Vikram’s Inkokkadu and Surya’s 24, the lead actor played different roles but with different physical abilities as well. The scene is however different in Jr NTR’s film as he is playing three energetic roles only.

Basic discussing happening is that, at a time when heroes like Vikram and Surya are struggling to score a hit even when they showed a huge difference between the physical and expressive natures of all the characters they played on screen in one single film, how would Jr NTR succeed without showing much difference. Between the characters Jai, Lava and Kusa, there is only costume change and few differences owing to the look.
