Pic Talk: Rashmi’s Lungi Dance
Anchor Rashmi Gautam, the queen of small screen and the sex bomb of big screen, looks radiant in this all-purple outfit.
The beautiful lady appeared on a TV show recently wearing this unorthodox outfit, a purple shirt and a floral wear which looks like a mixture of Lungi and skirt. She calls it the fusion of Indian and western styles, but for her fans, it is the ravishing Rashmi slaying in Lungi.
Wouldn’t it be a visual feast to watch her rock the dance floor wearing this outfit?

Maintaining that he has been regular payer of taxes, NTR said, ” I had acted in Nannaku Prematho film in 2015. I was told that the Service Tax is not applicable since the film is shot in London. Hence, I didn’t charge any Service Tax from the film’s producers. After that we have not received any official note or notice from the CAG so far.”

Press note:
In response to the news published today about non payment of Service tax for the feature film “Nannaku Prematho”, which was produced in England (London) , I hereby release this press release to present the correct facts.
I have acted in the above film in 2015 which was made in the UK by the producer. I was advised by legal and tax experts that any Service(in this case as an actor) rendered outside India for which payment is received in Foreign Exchange , is not taxable for Service tax in India . Accordingly, I have not collected the service tax from the producer of “Nannaku Prematho”.
In 2016 when C&AG officials conducted a review of my Service Tax returns and raised a query, my legal and economic team gave an explanation in writing about the same. After sending that written reply in 2016, Till date,we have not received any further communication regarding this matter, like a show cause notice or demand, from the authorities.
If and when I receive any communication from the authorities ,I will respond as per the applicable law. I have been a law abiding citizen and faithful Income tax and Service tax payer for the last several years. I have been complying with all the applicable laws scrupulously in time. I have the highest respect for the laws of this great country India.
In the present matter, if it is found by the competent Authority that I have to pay the Service Tax, I will pay every single penny as required of me. I am waiting to hear from the authorities regarding the same.
I am releasing this statement so that the correct version of facts is represented.
Thank You
Mahesh & Namrata in ‘Darshakudu
Telugu film lovers are used to the references of Star heroes in small films. But, probably for the first time, the reference of a star couple has been used throughout a film.
In Sukumar’s production venture ‘Darshakudu’, which hit screens yesterday, the names of hero and heroine’s characters are Mahesh and Namrata. This tactic not just impresses the fans of Mahesh but also forms a lovely impression on audiences from the very beginning of the film since Mahesh and Namrata are a star as well as an ideal couple in Tollywood. Audiences automatically start rooting for the lead actors to unite notwithstanding the obstacles.
In the recent times, filmmakers are coming up innovative ways to use references of not just stars but their wives, fiancees, surnames, other actors in family etc.
If one remembers, in Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Premam’, Chaitu’s character says that the name of the girl he will marry starts with ‘S’ letter. Samantha’s name wasn’t used directly but that small hint was enough to overwhelm audiences. In another scene, Chaitu refuses to rag a junior just because his name was ‘Akhil’.
Most recently, director Sampath Nandi used the Surname of Mahesh Babu, ‘Ghattamaneni’ for his film’s protagonist.
Expect filmmakers to invent many more ways to use stars’ references.
Pics: Esha, the Queen of Instagram
Photo sharing platform Instagram gives a huge opportunity for actresses to stay connected with their fans and also entertain them with some candid and private pics. There are several actresses who have been using Instagram to maximum advantage but if we have to name the actress who has been enjoying maximum attention on this platform, it has to be the ultra-sexy Esha Gupta.
Especially from the last few months, Esha has upped the hotness bar on Instagram and has been regularly sharing some of the hottest pics of hers. When her envy-inducing curves and assets are flaunted in sultry postures and captured aesthetically, the pics become too hot to handle.
Here are some of Esha’s latest pics to swoon over.
First Look : Amala Paul’s Navel Show
The first look of upcoming Tamil film Thiruttu Payale 2 has been a rage ever since it is unveiled. The reason is Amala Paul’s sensous look in the film which became the talk of the town. Amala’s navel show is what attracted news.
Post her divorce with director Vijay, Amala’s acts have been under scanner and each act of her is being blown out of proportion. And her latest act from the film Thiruttu Payale 2 has got criticism from a section of people on social media platforms. However, Amala seems to be not bothered about such moral policing.
Also featuring Bobby Simha in the poster, it is learnt that Thiruttu Payale 2 is going to deal a bold topic yet important one. Actor Prasanna – Sneha’s husband – will be seen as antagonist in the film.
Earlier, Tamil filmmakers avoid promoting sensual, bold content as it would turn down their chances of getting U certificate for the film. It means there is no tax exemption from the State government. But now that GST is implemented, filmmakers from Tamil seem to have got new ‘freedom’ to showcase the glam-side.
Mega Hero Quit Smoking & Teasing Heroines
Just before the start of any film in cinema theatres, hero’s voice comes and cautions audiences about the hazards of smoking and drinking. But, once the movie starts, the same hero is seen smoking or drinking depending on the requirement of the story. This on-screen act nullifies the message delivered at the beginning of films.
Young Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej however seems to have decided to abide by certain principles in his films. During an interview, he divulged that he had made his mind about 2 things, ‘Not to Smoke & Drink in films’ and ‘Abstaining from teasing women in films’.
Tej added that he may compromise on ‘Drinking’ clause if the scene demands but he would never compromise on Smoking and Teasing Songs. ‘If a man loves a woman, he should respect her or say good words about her to win her love but not tease her. Since ‘Winner’, I have decided not to act in teasing songs and smoking scenes,’ Tej added.
The young hero’s commitment was so sincere that he expressed his reluctance to veteran director Krishna Vamsi for just holding a beer bottle during a song sequence in ‘Nakshatram’.
‘Casting Couch is a Personal Decision’
Senior actress Gautami, who doesn’t mince words to speak out her views on the methodologies of film industry, has made some startling comments on the ‘Casting Couch’ issue.
Gautami accepted that Casting couch exists in film industry. ‘Nowadays we hear a lot about casting couch but it is not restricted to film industry. It exists in whatever field you take,’ she said.
“People compromise on some standards to achieve certain heights in life. How much you compromise is your ‘personal decision’. We should have the courage to face consequences when we take the decision to compromise,” she added.
It is known that Gautami parted ways with Kamal Haasan a few months ago after having been in a live-in relationship with him for 18 years.
The Story Behind Sunny Leone’s Adopted Baby
Nisha, the 21-month-old baby girl who was recently adopted by Sunny Leone, was shockingly ‘turned down’ by as many as 11 families because of her ‘Color’.
It may be recalled that Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber applied for adoption at Child Adoption Resource Agency (CARA), the apex body for adoption, in September last year, and they adopted Nisha last month.
The CEO of CARA has recently divulged that adoptive parents are often very choosy about the baby they bring into their homes. ‘The baby that Sunny Leone adopted from our orphanage was earlier turned down by 11 prospective parents because of her color. Sunny Leone on the other hand unconditionally welcomed the child into her home without looking at her color, background, health status etc,‘ he added.
He praised Sunny as one of the nicest human beings he has ever met. ‘She may have a certain kind of image in public because of her past or the kind of films she does, but she is the kindest human being, and I am sure that she will be a great mother,’ he added.
After the adoption of Nisha last month, Sunny Leone said that she feels very thankful to God for bringing a ‘beautiful’ little girl into her life.
Rajasekhar Submits Proofs Against Rajinikanth in Court
We have some time ago reported that a Tamil writer named Rajasekhar had moved the High Court alleging that Superstar Rajinikanth, director Pa. Ranjith, and Dhanush, the producer of “Kaala”, stole his script as well as title to make a film named ‘Kaala’.
In his petition, he claimed that the script of Kaala has been plagiarized from a story that he had narrated to Rajinikanth a few years ago. He even swore to have registered the title, Karikaalan, to make the film with Rajini. He rued that Kaala is being made with little modifications to his script and title.
The court had then asked Dhanush, Rajinikanth and Ranjith to respond to the complaint. In response, Dhanush filed a reverse petition seeking the court to dismiss the case as a publicity stunt, arguing that their script is completely authentic and is vastly different from that of the complainant’s.
Following this, the court directed Rajasekhar to produce proofs backing his claims against Rajinikanth, and the writer has reportedly submitted some documents related to the story and a few photographs taken while narrating his script to Rajinikanth.
The next hearing in this case is scheduled to 8th August. If court finds Rajasekhar’s claims to be true, makers of Kaala will have to pay hefty compensation to him.
Voting for Vice President Begins; Venkaiah, Gopalkrishna In Fray
New Delhi: Voting for the 15th Vice President of India has begun. Members of Parliament have started to cast their votes. Voting will be on till 5 in the evening. The name of the next Vice President will be known by Saturday evening after Members of Parliament cast their ballot during the day in Parliament House.
Ruling NDA’s candidate M Venkaiah Naidu is tipped to be the next Vice President.
MPs will use special pens for marking their choice in the election.
The counting of votes will commence after polling and the results will be declared by 7 pm, Election Commission officials said quoting precedents. No whip can be issued by political parties as the election is through a secret ballot.
Before the voting began, Venkaiah Naidu said, “I am a non-party man. Majority of parties in India are supporting my candidature, confident that they all will vote in election.”
NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate said he is not contesting against anybody, individual or party adding that he is contesting for Vice President of India.
Naidu also exuded confidence saying, “I have written a polite letter to everybody, response is very good. Confident that they all will support me.”
Meanwhile, Opposition candidate GopalKrishna Gandhi called Venkaiah Naidu an experienced person and said, “No competition as such between us, only technically there is.”
He further added, “It is a fight based on constitutional principles, where I maintained complete civility and same has been done from other side too.”
The term of the present incumbent Hamid Ansari, who has held the post for two consecutive terms, is coming to an end on 10 August. The electoral college which elects the vice president, who is also the ex-officio chairman of the Rajya Sabha, consists of elected and nominated members of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha.
The total strength of the two Houses is 790, but there are two vacancies in the Lok Sabha and one in the Rajya Sabha.
BJP MP in Lok Sabha Chhedi Paswan is barred from casting vote following a judicial pronouncement.
In the 545-member Lok Sabha, the BJP has 281 members. The NDA led by BJP, has 338 members.
In the 243-member Rajya Sabha, the BJP as of now has 56 members, while the Congress with 59 is the single largest party.
With its wins in the recent Assembly polls, the BJP is set to emerge as the single largest party in the Rajya Sabha too next year and the NDA’s tally would be close to 100. It would, however, still be short of a majority in the upper house. The one who bags 50 per cent plus one votes of the total valid votes cast will win the poll.
Lakshmiparvathi Backs YS Jagan
YSRCP leader Lakshmiparvathi, backed Jagan for his comment against Chandrababu. She said that Chandrababu was responsible for Sr.NTR’s death and maybe the latter entered Jagan’s mind and made him say those words, she said.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders are countering the vituperative attack made by Jagan on Chandrababu. They have lodged complaints with EC regarding this. While TDP leaders are furious and were warning Jagan, looks like YSRCP leaders, including Roja, have not much to say except support their leader.
