Why Kohli Said No To Sehwag as Coach?
One of the top contenders for the Team India’s coach was former opener Virendra Sehwag along with Ravi Shastri, Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput and Richard Pybus. While Sehwag too had good chances, however, his one simple request said to had cost him the job that eventually went to Shastri who is close friend of Virat Kohli.
Apparently, Virendra Sehwag had called Virat Kohli before he applied for the coach post and this is what Kohli had told Sehwag. Kohli apparently told Sehwag, “Of course, Viru paa. Your contribution to Indian cricket is great and we’re all so familiar with you. I have no problems whatsoever in you applying for the role. Anybody who thinks he can contribute his best for Indian cricket can and should apply.”
Kohli said to have welcomed Sehwag’s decision to apply for coach post with ‘open arms’. But what said to had ‘spoiled’ Sehwag’s chances was his proposal to rope in a new support staff which included Kings XI Punjab assistant coach Mithun Manhas and physiotherapist Amit Tyagi in the place of the existing support staff.
This reportedly not gone well with Kohli. And Kohli apparently told Sehwag on his face that he would prefer current support staff as they have good bond with the team and experience of working with team for the past 3 years. However, Ravi Shastri is said to be in favour of continuing the same support staff and this is said to have impressed Kohli – an ‘inclusive’ approach.
Sehwag is currently acting as Kings XI Punjab and he ‘wanted’ his present support staff for Team India. This is what said to have made Ravi Shastri, the coach of Team India. And also the reason why Sehwag lose the job.

Naidu Gets Support From YS Jagan & KCR
Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party has vowed to stand by BJP in the coming Vice-Presidential elections.
As per an official statement, BJP president Amit Shah has phoned Jagan Reddy on Monday to seek his support for Naidu and the YSRCP chief has readily conveyed his party’s complete support to Naidu, who’s currently the union minister for urban development.
The announcement of Venkaiah Naidu’s name as NDA’s Vice-President nominee followed a wide-range of celebrations among Andhra & Telangana BJP leaders. The YSRCP has already agreed to vote for BJP’s presidential candidate Ramnath Kovind, who’s fighting UPA’s Meira Kumari.
On other hand, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao also received a phone call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, soon after Naidu’s name was declared as NDA’s VP nominee. The TRS supreme has reportedly extended his support to Naidu and will be releasing an official statement soon.
The 68-year old Venkaiah Naidu will file nomination papers at 11am on Tuesday. The Opposition has fielded Gopalakrishna Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, as its Vice-presidential candidate. Gandhi is a retired IAS officer and former Governor of West Bengal state.
Roja Targets Kodela Again, Gets Notices
YSR Congress Party leader and MLA RK Roja has targeted Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad again. This time she questioned the Speaker’s limitations in discharging his duties.
Roja strongly criticized Kodela for attending mock voting conducted by ruling TDP ahead of Presidential election. Soon after casting her vote at Assembly premises in Amaravathi, the YSR Congress leader took on the Speaker at a Media conference.
Roja alleged that the Speaker forgot his stature and attending ruling party and cabinet meetings conducted by the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. She said Kodela has become a stooge to Naidu government.
In a quick response, the speaker instructed Assembly Secretary to serve a notice on Roja and call for an explanation for making derogatory remarks against him.
‘I Came Before Media, Only Because DJ Is Hit’
“I won’t come before media if a film of mine is not a hit. If you could observe, I’ll check Monday and Tuesday collections of movie and if it’s a flop then I will accept it. In the case of DJ, I’ve checked collections and came before media. When the film crossed collections of Allu Arjun’s biggest hit Sarrainodu, is DJ not a hit or not?” says Dil Raju, upright.
In the case of Allu Arjun’s latest movie Duvvada Jagannadham, actually, huge rumours are in rounds that the collections of the movie are fake and the numbers revealed by the makers are not genuine. Quashing those rumours, Dil Raju stated that he is not able to understand why there is huge negativity being spread around the film He chooses to respond to all the remarks.
“If some figures are coming from my office, they are genuine. They are not fake figures. I have certain values and there is no need to fake it and blow the numbers big. I’m not just a producer but distributor as well. Upcoming films of Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh and Jr NTR’s are being distributed by us. What’s the point in boasting wrong collections?” he asked.
Though final figures of DJ Duvvada Jagannaddham are yet to be out, Dil Raju is likely to run the film in many centres till this Friday, as his Fidaa replaces it then, and might reveal the final collections later.
Roja In Trouble For Loose Tongue Again!
Firebrand YSR Congress party MLA R K Roja, who had to face the suspension from the assembly for over a year for her unparliamentary behaviour and loose comments against chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and TDP MLA V Anitha, is back in trouble once again for her loose tongue.
Roja, who came to the assembly along with the other YSR Congress party MLAs, to the AP assembly at Velagapudi in Amaravati in the afternoon, came straight to the media point after casting her vote and started attacking Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.
She accused Kodela of wearing a Telugu Desam Party khanduwa and participating in the mock polling conducted in the TDP legislature party office in the assembly.
She also alleged that Kodela had even attended the cabinet meeting in the past and would behave like the TDP leader when he visited Narasaraopet constituency.
“Kodela brought disgrace to the post of Speaker. I leave it to his wisdom whether he would behave in a non-political manner or act like a TDP leader,” Roja said.
Naturally, this angered Kodela. He immediately directed assembly secretary Satyanarayana to issue a privilege notice to Roja for making derogatory comments against the Speaker.
He clarified that he had never entered the TDLP office after becoming the Speaker. The mock polling for the MLAs was conducted in the assembly committee hall and not the TDLP office. And he had not sported the TDP khanduwa at all.
And with regard to attending the cabinet meeting, Kodela said he had called for a meeting of the cabinet ministers only once to discuss the arrangements for National Women’s Parliament. And so, he was never a party to any of the cabinet decisions, the Speaker clarified.
If Roja doesn’t respond to the privilege notice properly, she might have to face the suspension from the house for some more time, say sources.
Venkaiah Naidu is NDA’s Vice President
It is all official. Union Urban Minister and close confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu, has been chosen as NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate. Since NDA picked Ramnath Kovind (from Uttar Pradesh) as the Presidential candidate, it said to have picked Venkaiah Naidu (from Andhra Pradesh) form South for the coveted job.
“Venkaiah has a lot of experience, all NDA allies have welcomed this decision,” BJP President Amit Shah announced at a press conference in Delhi on Monday evening. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM KCR have welcomed Venkaiah’s name for the Vice-President post.
Venkaiah said to have agreed the party’s decision. Venkaiah Naidu is going to file his nomination for Vice President Tomorrow at 11 AM. He is expected to tender his resignation for Union Minister post before filing his nomination.
68-year-old Venkaiah, who hails from Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, has been loyal to BJP for several years since he joined the party right after his student politics in ABVP.
Venkaiah Naidu did his bachelor’s degree in politics and diplomatic studies from V. R. College in Nellore. Later, he acquired a bachelor’s degree in law with specialisation in international law from Andhra University College of Law, Visakhapatnam. He was a swayamsevak in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and joined ABVP during his college days. He was elected as the president of the students union of colleges affiliated to the Andhra University. He came into spotlight for his prominent role in the Jai Andhra Movement of 1972. While Kakani Venkata Ratnam led the movement from Vijayawada, Naidu took active part in the agitation in Nellore, until it was called off a year later.
Venkaiah subsequently joined BJP and played quite active role. He served as an MLA twice to AP Legislative Assembly (United) twice from Udayagiri Assembly constituency in Nellore district. He was nominated as Rajya Sabha member and even served as Union Minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. He worked as the National President of BJP twice.

We know how Keshava star Nikhil Siddhartha exceeded all our expectations and surprised everyone with the kind of films he chose over last few years. In a step ahead, this time, the growing star has remarkably grown some weight for his new film, which is a Telugu remake for super hit Kannada movie Kirak Party. Here Is Prabhas’s New Look
Here is the new look of Baahubali star Prabhas. After working on nearly five years on the magnum opus and did two parts, the hunk star has moved onto his next – “Sahoo”. However, the actor’s fresh look is now turning heads.
The already released teaser is stylish, slick boasting high-end VFX shots. The high-budgeted film being made in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil is expected to be shot with a budget of 150 Crore, director Sujeeth is going all out to rope in the best cast, crew for the film.
While Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is going to compose the music, Amitabh Bhattacharya is penning the lyrics. Reputed Peter Heins is going to provide the action choreography while Sabu Cyril, of Robot and Baahubali fame, is the production designer. Neil Nitin Mukesh will be seen as a baddie and the film is going to have two female leads. Talk is that Prabhas could repeat his Baahubali co-star Anushka in Sahoo as well.
